@PsychoOnMars i tink we will never know what happen to melor n mahesh..its director yasmin ahmad style to link their story in another movie e way sepet got a slight ending at gubra..sadly we will never know as god loves her more...
For all of you who are do not know, Yasmin was born a hermaphrodite. None of it was her fault, as you can see. She lived a wonderful life. And I don't think Malaysia would ever see another director quite like her. Her works were amazing, simply to say.
love this movie so much.. sedih sangat coz yasmin sudah pergi...seorang insan yang sangat kreatif...mendidik penonton berfikir kehidupan realiti sebenar...tiada pengarah malaysia yang sehebat beliau...satu permata hilang meninggalkan satu lagenda. semoga ALLAH merahmati rohnya
just wanna say 1 thing, im not really care when i heard that Yasmin Ahmad passed away few months ago.. but im now im crying for him.. we just lost a genius.. he really discoverd abt indian, chinese n malays.. i have no words 2 say.. this movie is movie of my life.. Mr yasmin ahmad, im proud 2 be a malaysian.. may ur soul rest in peace my brother. -Akilan Elankgoven
Yasmin ahmed was actually a woman and she was one of the more controversial malaysian directors of her generation as she tackled one of the most prominent social segregation themes in malaysian sociaty. not only that, she managed to potray the beauty of first love, sufferings and pain of the human heart and many more. you should watch one of most well precieved movies called SEPET. that movie is a masterpiece.
what kind of nonsensical attribute is that..? well whatever it was, it was pretty evident that yasmin ahmed is a woman's name in malay, actually, in arabic. i was just telling the person about the director was a female director. not something common in the malaysian film industry.
very touching :'(
