This is my all time favourite anime adaptation of Little Women!! (although I love them all) I WISH they'ld bring this out finally on DVD! or someone uploaded it to YouTube! Nippon animation were the best!!

Wow! I remember this. This anime series was an EXCELLENT adaptation of the book. It was very well-written.

I remember an anime series about Tom Sawyer that aired on HBO, too.

It's awesome how Japanese animated filmmakers were able to do such a good job adapting classic American folklore.

Who created this? Some of the style looks like Hayao Miyazaki

The character design was done by Yoshifumi Kondo who also worked for Studio Ghibli... Kondo-san was the director of the Ghibli-movie "Whisper of the heart"
