@siouxperb5570 on a documentary even one blue angel pilot said "the worst red arrow pilot is the best blue angel pilot" you probably haven't even seen the red arrows, the blue angels are amazing but the red arrows are really amazing
@skatethehouse999 Maybe if they upgraded out of a stable trainer and into a front line aircraft you could say that but until then...uhhh no. The arrows are bad ass though.
I saw the Blue Angels once it was one of the coolest things I have ever seen in my life and they also had a stelth bomber at that show roped off but I would admit if I was riding in a Blue Angel Id probley be screaming
@phantom0482 uhhhh what are you talking about. i didnt say they were going that fast you moron. if ypu read the post correctly youd seen that mine comment was a reply to the other dude who said that they did a huge sonic boom. my reply was letting him know that they are forbidden to fly faster than the speed of sound in a civilian setting such as an airshow. and yes the planes in take off are probably traveling somewhere close to 200 knots. .
What happened to the #4 slot plane? Anyway, when the Blue Angels have 4 planes, they group up into the diamond formation. With only 3 planes - it's called the Vee formation.
I watched them yesterday :) and number 6 did a huge supersonic shockwave and broke the soundbarrier it was amazing! so did the f-15 IT WAS HELLA LOUD.
@TheSpeckhunter Did not break the sound barrier lol, only got close enough to create a vapor cone. They're not allowed to create sonic booms, because they break glass and create miniature earthquakes miles away. Glad you had fun though.
@TheSpeckhunter Wow, uh, theyd have to be traveling at least 700-750 mph depending on the elevation, but anyway tey weren't going supersonic it is forbidden for them to at airshow performances.
@PushImagesPhoto 709mph?? yeah right dude... they were at most only doing 200 knots... 700mph is about the speed they do and i beleive it is a bit lower when they do their sneak pass...
@xcoreinmolinex I think you're right. I was, back in the day, an M1 tanker in Germany, and I have heard some loud shit. Besides tank gunfire, many an F16 jockey had low-passed our motorpool scraping over our tanks. You get used to it.
But, lately, when the Oregon ANG F-15's did an afterburner flyby for the National Anthem at a OSU Beaver football game I almost jumped out of my boxers. Or shit them, I dunno!
@USAFFuturePilot f15 has 3000 lbs more thrust per engine then f18 at the airshow 2 years ago f15 would turn with afterburner on and would be pointing at the people sounds like thunder 200 feet away and the plane would be 500 feet away but thats the best sound in the world
someone saw the butterfly in the second 015?

@Twi11ig It's crazy how loud they are. I was up at Eielson Afb in 2001 and f-16's were loud but not near what the f-15 was. Take it easy.

@skateboy159 P&W's (like the engines on the F-15) are louder than GE's (like the engines on the F-18) most of the time :D
