This takes me back - Released on HEDARZIBAN 14591 - LP. My Aunt was holidaying in Israel that year, asked her to try to get it for me - she duly did - and I still have it on glorious vinyl! Nice to see this video footage again too!
Managed to get this on vinyl 12inch via my aunt who was visiting the country at the time. On Hedarziban 14591, if my memory serves me well. Still love it!y
Israel is not technically Europe, yet they are allowed to enter Eurovision because they are more European than their lovely neighbours who would rather use women for target practice than anything else.
@TheBlueyedblond Israel are allowed to enter because the European Broadcasting Area extends beyond Europe to the countries around the Mediterranean. Even Morocco entered once (in 1980). Most of the other eligible non-European countries don't enter because of Israel's presence in the competition.
to the person who wondered why the girls where wearing pyjamas..that was the fashion then, its funny looking back!
even if el al cabin staff are a bit frightening,at least you get good service and the best security in the world..the world should've asked israel advice before the xmas day bomber struck!!
A minor mistake you have, Tasos- none of them were serving at the IDF at that time. They all finished there military service about 4 years before that contest (they already appeared in the Israeli song festival 1973 as civilians)
So catchy! I liked U.K. best that year, but this was my second favourite. Israel nearly always puts a decent song in E.S.C. They REALLY should have won in 1983!
Did the Chocolate Girls release an English-language version of this song?

Emor Shalom means Say Hello, and this comment was posted on World Hello Day. You might as well say hello, maybe through this song.

Those are no pajamas....That was the fashion of the 70's! Huge bellbottoms, shirts with huge sleeves. Much better looking than today!

@Woollylinnet But because Morocco entered ESC, Israel took not part in it! Therefore Morocco resigned - up to now!
refohtiew 1 year ago
@refohtiew: It rather was the other way around, that Morocco only could enter that year because Israel didn't.

@TheBlueyedblond thats a stupid comment which has absolutely nothing to do with The Eurovision Song Contest
