Mechanical poetry in motion... Too bad none of this was on any uphill grade though. Listening from the vestibule in the third coach there was an excellent stretch of quite a few miles of uphill grade not long after departing Bureau - and even from back that far she sounded amazing working at speed!
Nice video! This is the first time in quite awhile that they have been able to turn 765 loose like this. I love seeing Berks flying at high speed. What were you guys going at?
@shininghappyperson7 she only NEEDS one, and in theory could probably handle the train alone. But notice both engines are heritage units, that may have somthing to do with it.
@shininghappyperson7@tropicalfishswim@Miketherailfan Yup, those guys are right...and if you watch the other videos, you'll notice that neither of the P42's prime movers are anywhere near full load, so they're definitely not providing traction power. Essentially, 765 is pulling 22 passenger cars worth of weight here, since a P42 is worth about 2.5-2.8 passenger cars in weight.
DUDE! This turned out great! Professional job guy.

Ya know, I was comparing this to pacing scenes from Runnin that New River Train, and the speed between footage came AWFULLY close. :D

@shininghappyperson7 There would be no electricity to the coaches without the P42s. It's essentially an Amtrak train.
