how'd you get your characters to learn Ultima?

I can't find how, unless you cured the cursed shield or somethin

I broke the curse on the cursed shield to obtain the Paladin Shield yup :)

@meekorightnow You've to go to Narshe and go WITH LOCKE to the armory of Narshe. There is an old man that tell you that he has the Magicite Ragnarok and you're to say that you don't want to make a sword with that Magicite. Then Equip the Esper Ragnarok and train because Ragnarok has Ultima.

wait...you said something about there being "all 14 characters" with you...

then who fills in the last two slots when you pick the members in your party? O-o?

There are 14 characters in the game, but you can only take 12 of them with you to the final dungeon. Also I assume those are "extra" slots for the characters that temporarily join your party such as General Leo, and those ghosts in the phantom Train

The two empty spots are for General Leo and Kefka. You can use a game genie code to get them both, but you can't use Kefka cuz he doesn't have any abilities with him, so only for Leo basically.

Never mind, it seems that this video will only work with Google chrome or whatever Google's new web browser is called. That still seems messed up to me but whatever, at least I can finally watch this episode.

Ok, I just stumbled onto this LP recently, and yet, when I try to watch this part, it tells me the video is no longer available. did you take it down or something?

Still not working, don't know why. Maybe it has something to do with fire fox, although all your other vids still work just fine. BTW, you do a good job on these, and I look forward to more LPs of more games.

Ok, It's not working with internet exploreer either, and aparently I'm not the only one haveing this problem. Not that I'm blameing you or anything. TBH, I wouldn't be suprised if it was youtube being scrwey or something, cause, site wise, I trust youtube about as far as I can throw it at times. The ONLY reason I come here is becasue it has vids I like from people I like. However, the site itself is quite erm, crap is the best way I can put it.

Ack, almost forgot! Strago can fill in a few Lores while he's down here. The Goblin's got all the level-breaking stuff, while his Water-based Lores can be picked up from Enuo or the Blue Dragon. The Dragon also carries the Rippler Lore if you didn't observe any ReachFrogs doing it.

You're quite right about Step Mine being 1/32 of total steps. If Strago happens upon this Lore, it will also cost him MP in proportion to play time.

The Gradeus is better in strength than the Striker, which is nice because I alwasy equipped Shadow with that and the Stunner, plus Offering+Genji Glove.

I'd have tossed Celes in here for the extra dialog...or am I wrong here? Can't remember 100%. Anyway, don't forget to resurface and speak to one of the researchers to continue this quest.

Another tough choice: Do you want more speed, or better vitality? GBA players don't have to worry over it; they have a secret Esper to grant them speed.

Well, i'm not to much worried about Speed. Beyond that the "other" esper teaches quick, which can easily aleviate the speed loss imo. also I didnt know Celes had extra dialogue here, I'll have to look into that

Tonberry gets boss music because you're doing this area considerably later than the game intended. At lower levels, he is extremely difficult. His Traveler (Step Mine)move can do massive damage. And you're exactly right about the damage calculation for Traveler. At your levels, this whole area should be easy including the dragon coming up. As for the Graedius, it is Holy-elemental, but I don't really like it, because everybody has better weapons, especially at this point in the game. Great job!
