  • That was a legit vid man, nice work. I haven't gotten a chance to use my T9 yet.

  • too bad their a dollar a piece where i live

  • Has anyone tried these with a rifled barrel? That would be some interesting data to look at.

  • Nice setup ! Finally a video that a gun is STABLE, Been looking for this for the Dye Ultralite... but im glad i found this for first strike...

  • The grouping really wasn't any better than normal paintballs... SIIIIIIGH.

  • Awesome test. If the first strike rounds become cheaper it will definitely be a big hit fir rec-ball.

  • um ok? thats almst same as reg pballs... o_O u need more distance

  • you're fucking legit

  • Just out of curiosity. Wouldn't the Tiberius Rounds be affected by Under boring because it would bend the tail fins and cause the round not to spin?

  • Tenically the tiberious rounds were desinged for the t9 and not a regular barrel so i bealive yes. but if you consider it the ball would just recover after it goes out the barrel.

  • Epic song man! Atmosphere ftw

  • do those hurt more because of the fin?

  • no they are about the same damage

  • if u had the rifled barrel for the tiberius rounds, the round would spin like a regular bullet and will make it more accurate.

  • I'm courious. What is we put First strike in a flatline barrel? Would you please make a test?

  • it would be impossible....it has to spin the ball

  • what will happend?? Barrel break

  • yes

  • you will lose accuracy

The Flatline works by putting backspin on a paintBALL

these rounds fins put sideways spin on it, spining these backwards will not make them fly straighter, but worse

  • Sooo they have redesigned the paintball, would that mean that our barrels should be redesigned too? I mean to use the First Strike Round of course. Would the barrel length and barrel porting still apply in the same way? would a longer barrel help the FS round with accuracy?

    Just curious....

  • I don't see much change in barrels with this round, but I DO see radical changes in feed mechanisms. Since we no longer have a true ball, I assume we will be going back toward mag-fed or cylinder systems like most firearms. The rounds could easily be loaded int a small plastic or metal cartridge that ejects from a port after the round has been fired. Alomst like Simunition.

  • oh i see... you mean we should make a magazing fed system? like the one that Tiberius Arms already makes? Of course you would have to make a new way of loading them.... duh

  • but with the tiberius one you have a co2 cartrige in there

  • I don't think they will make barrels for other guns other than Tiberius arms.

just like tippmann only makes the flatline for tippmann guns only

  • your missing my point, besides i wouldn't buy a barrel from TA to put on another one of my guns. I was asking PUNKWORKSPAINTBALL if the physics of our current paintball barrels that are designed for the spherical paintballs will still apply to the First Strike rounds. Like would different porting help, along with different barrel legths. possibly different barrel inserts, like a delerin insert or a teflon insert.

  • we'll try them in different lengths / porting etc. Since the spin is created by interaction between the round and the air - I think the barrel may have very little to do with the performance of these rounds - other than getting them up to speed.

  • Mind you if you have a rifled barrel with the near same spin as the FSTA round (see Milsig Markman Barrel). You can actually have the round spinning even before it leaves the barrel...

  • Well already the fs rounds can be used with t8 and the t9 rifle

  • yo cocker punk,

what is the difference between your cronograph with the two rods and a standard big red you see at fields

    accuracy?

  • The one he uses has two lasers where the rods are at, which time when the paintball passes the first laser and end that time when the paintball passes the second laser and it will give you the vlocity

  • at 6$ for only 8 of them at 75 ft , they dont seem to be any more accurate than a frigin paint ball. watch my video and you'll see what i mean.... and im shooting crap balls with an old spyder pilot

  • Actually they can fly alot farther than 75 feet. A guy at tiberius said like 300 feet or something. But they are still expensive...

  • Oh, these hit MUCH farther than regular paint. I scored 6 out of 8 hits at 250 feet with these muzzle loaded into a Tippmann A5 sniper barrel. SWEET, but mad expensive.

  • BUT if you think about it... if you wait till you have a clean shot, you don't have to shoot as much of the tiberius rounds. The problem is that people are still thinking "paintball accuracy" so if he's 150 feet away i'll have to shoot like 100 paintballs at him(assuming he's behing cover) or you can stand back further with the tiberius round and shoot him while he thinks he's a safe distance away with like (hopefully) one shot. YES it is more expensive BUT you shouldn't need it.

  • what are they made out of? still biodegradable?

  • no, sun disolves em. i know its stupid but they WILL NOT dissolve in the dark so ive heard

  • ... i play a lot of woodsball, even though im a speedballer, i wouldnt like t leave all that plastic out there

  • well 90% of all paintball are made of nontoxin biodegradable materials and the other 10% are reball :D

dont worry, the worms and earth will do their job. leave one in your yard for a month and itll be gone

  • good test 5* i think it would have been better tho if u used a 14in barrel

  • hahaha holy shit that first strike rounds stuck to the wall with the fins, look like my ceiling in college with all the beer bottle caps

    5 stars!!

  • They are shooting the same speed just the first strikes are losing any speed. they arent dragging! YES SNIPER PAINTBALL

  • these are going to hurt so bad.. even 150 feet away.. its going to feel like the guy is a foot from you.. He said it looked fast but thats just because its not slowing down at all. Its was 290 true but it was 290 all the way to the board. While the normal paintball went from 290 to 220. These rounds barely lose any speed. AWESOME ROUND ACCURATE ROUND SNIPERS ARE BACK

  • Check out Mikes video from Techpb with him and willie getting shot with them in his backyard they show you there they don't hurt anymore than a regular paintball.

  • when can i get some of thoose? can i use them for woodsball and senorio

  • yeah there exensive tho so i wouldnt

  • its not like your gonna shoot lanes with these

  • dont, the cost $1 each

  • no they dont

  • when i posted that comment they were going to be available in tubes for $1 per round but now they are $0.75 when they are bought in a box

  • still wrong, they come in 8rnd tubes, i have some orderd with a conversion kit, not sure if there will be a bulk discount on the paint

  • no im not wrong there are boxes of 8 round tubes available, they can be purchased individually in 8 round tubes or in a box full of 8 round tubes

  • that looks quite pain full, i must admit...

  • very impressive. You should shoot a person with it to see what the mark looks like on clothing.. any plans for a distance test?

  • Very Cool test!!!! I'll put good use to your data/info!!!

    Thanks!!!

  • atmosphere

  • the only thing that owrries me is getting hit by them, i would like to see how bad they hurt

  • yes, that's reasonable - the amount of force is going to be the same as a paintball - it's the same weight and the same velocity - but the plastic shell is something new.

  • Did you happen to notice if the Tiberius First Strike rounds were heavier or lighter than standard paintball rounds? Judging by the fps difference (First strike rounds travelling faster with presumably the same gun setup) would mean that the First Strike rounds were lighter. I wonder how that would affect ball breaks at a distance. I really love the idea of these rounds I'm just worried that my local field owners are going to be nazies about the little rings unless they dissolve.

  • they weight about the same. this is because of ASTM standards for paintball.

  • the first strike rounds just looked faster - they were the same speed at the muzzle.

  • @PunkWorksPaintball

Although the muzzle speed air the same, the coefficient of drag is different for each. I would think the first strike round will retain more of its velocity given that both spend the same amount of time in the air. The pain should be no worst than point blank with regular paintballs. Thats just my two cents. I leave the rest of the change to you.

  • well, yea.....

    gun stand.. check

    clamped in.. check

    electric drill.... priceless

  • good job man. I like how they stick. Hopefully if can get my hands on them and gog someone itll stick yo their lenz. these things look badass. Im dyeing to for their release. Someone needs to make a single/clipfed bolt action sniper.

  • Did you try loading them like the marker was a musket?? Maybe front loading with a small dowel rod to shove them back?

  • nope, just followed the manufacturer's suggestions. Well, the manufacturer and Tom Kaye. :)

  • Did you post the data anywhere?

Honestly, the results don't look that much better than the normal paintballs....same amount of dropoff, and not much better grouping.

  • I'm not sure if this has already been said somewhere. But someone should try these with a rifled barrel.

  • Wow, these actually work!

  • GREAT VIDEO. although the rounds seem inconvient

  • yes, I assume that to really use these in play you'll need to go with the Tiberius guns - however, if they catch on I think you'll see people doing lots of mods to get them to feed in other guns.

  • yea they wil be for avrage markers until someone mods a loader to feed them. but fr now thier only gonna be meant for use in the t9 adn t8 mag fed

  • well, also by inconvient as the price for 8?*i think* rounds.

  • oh yea, that is crazy

  • Great test! keep up the good work!

  • if the tails stuck and didnt break, wouldnt it hurt more when you got shot?

  • maybe, I don't know. They weight the same and seem to be just as brittle as other balls - so prob not.

  • only one way to find out.. shoot someone with it

  • Great video and nice taste in music. We listen to the same stuff. Props!

  • thanks, I'm trying to keep all the music on our vids local. Minneapolis has some great groups right now.

  • wow

  • yay ive been waiting for this

  • Good test, I can't wait to try them!

  • that looks like a nice guouping for the first strike i still wonder about loading them into a marker

  • i'm pretty sure that only tiberius arms guns can shoot them. they apperently have magazines to fit them in

  • first veiw
