Hey, I'm a reptile keeper but am considering maybe getting an African Grey Parot. I have been doing my reaserch on them but there is still a lot I don't know. Can anyone please help me and tell be more then just the basics?!? Are these parrots good for first time bird keepers? PLEASE RESPOND
what is it about us bird keepers that impels us to teach them to whistle the "Andy Griffith tune?" LOL--> Cocoa, you're a very smart grey, I have a 7 month old CAG named Greyson. These are just the most magnificent creatures and I am blessed to be owned by one!!! Thank you for sharing
Donna, your bird is awesome! I finally found the video. Ha-ha, I love how he mocks the cat, and he sounds so much like you. At one point I thought it was you talking. Ha-ha, thats so cool!
Not this one. Any attempt to add a new toy gets a "NO". New toy has to sit on the table in front of Coco for weeks. Attempts to add the toy each day get a "NO". After weeks, maybe I get an "OK". That's what happened with the few you see.
So tanrat your mom has an enslaved animal so Your mother is a friking animal torturer. And you help her keeping a free animal in a cage. Which makes you an animal torturer. Maybe is your country the one we should make into a parking lot.
What an amazing bird! Is that the Andy Griffith tune he's whistling??? I used to have a conure that also made coughing noises...says alot about their owners :)
We don't own our parrots they own us.

Last week I collected my 12 week old African Grey frorm the breeder. She spends her life wrapped in an old towell, on my lap being cuddled or asleep.

He is so cute. My mom has an African Grey parrot names Franky but we nickenamed him, "coco bird" what a coincidence.
