I like both these guys. I wonder what Dean thinks of the Dems after he was DNC Chairman and campaigned for Obama(to have his ear in the white house) and kicked to the side for pro-war candidates like Rahm Emanuel and Hillary Clinton. Kerry and Obama now both kicked him to the side. None the less I like Dean and Nader alot. GO Ralph Nader, Ron Paul, Cynthia McKinney, Howard Dean, and Dennis Kucinich!
He didn't waste his time, he exposed him for what he really is.
In this election year, the democrats are trying their best to stop Ralph Nader from debating, Obama will never debate Ralph unless he's forced to. that's been clear from the start. debating him would only expose his clear lack of representation -his betrayal, in fact - on all causes progressives value.
Yes I know they are very different. To me Kucinich would be my first choice then Nader. Ron Paul is a great congressman and he would make a great president, but I agree with more stances like Kucinich and Nader. And Nader is not for government regulation of everything. He wants to downsize our government because he says we waste money outsourcing. You should check out his website.
they are all against some of the most important pressing issues in America today: corporatism, bloated federal budgets, American military empire, and most of all disregard for Constitution.
Notice how Dean ducks the facts about the Democrats who voted for Bush (Nader didn't cost Gore that election any more than the other third party candidates did). He then artfully launches into an attack to divert attention.
Democrats are vile scum, the lot of them (the same goes without saying for the other corporate party).

all Ralph Nader's campaign is to talk shit and be pesimistic. He can't do anything because he hasn't done anything. Meaning he can't get elected because he hasn't done anything 2 truely build a third party infrastructure. He wants 2 critisize Democrats on what they haven't done, there is a lot he hasn't done. I'd never waste my vote on him in such an important election. Now isn't the time to be divided on the left. I support third parties. I do not idolize Nader. I do not hate him. Dean is right
IDIOT. Ralph Nader has done more for you than any of other political candidate EVER. Everything from car safety(air bags, tires)and food safety(Labeling). The General warnings on cigarettes is because of Nader. He has helped start over 2 dozen organizations for the rights of Americans including Public Interest Research Groups. Ralph Nader is a selfless man that fights for the people. He has the right to criticize democrats and republicans alike and they deserve it.
Go blow it out your ass. Name one thing he's done to make a third party candidate electable or part of his platform he hasn't stolen from it seems the people he critisizes most. He certainly seems 2 take more money from than critisize repubs. Regardless you don't know me so don't act like u do. I've worked with Nader before. He isn't even worth this comment 4 now. He certainly has the right to critisize we're all aware. Yet nobody seems to be able to tell him how it is back w/o him crying.
Calling Bush "far right" is incorrect. He is an authoritarian, a fascist, anti-democratic, neo-liberal on market principles, neo-conservative on foreign policy, and on spending, he's just insane.
"Far right" would be slightly preferable. (Ron Paul is far right and libertarian.)
actually it depends on which political spectrum you are using to chart left and right. Ron Paul is more of a classic liberal and democrats are more mordern liberals.
Uhh... ? Ron Paul is extreme right. Don't confuse neo-cons with true conservatives. RP is like Barry Goldwater, who was considered very extreme right. Goldwater would have been a far superior president than LBJ, and RP would be far better than any other candidate this year.
I like to think of this as the two faces of Howard Dean and he is showing his second face especially now with the DNC and the way he has handle the Democrat primaries.
We don't need the votes to get out of Iraq or to Impeach the bastards in office - I wish these Democrats would stop lying to the American public. Jackass.
How can Howard Dean get back up and support the two party system after what the media did to him in the last election? Every intelligent person knows that that negative media barage assault on Dean was a ploy to get Kerry, the weaker candidate the nomination, yet no one in the party came to his defense. So the guy was excited at all of his momentum and he showed some emotion. Instead we'd rather have an emotionless unpassionate robot for a leader. give me a break.
Dean imploded well before his Argggh moment. It just showed him to the the lunatic he truly is. As for Kerry being the weaker candidate .. he was the tallest midget. Dems voted for him because they thought he was the most electable .. ie the candidate who could hide his Liberalism the best. The media did their best to elect him (hat tip dan rather) but unfortunately the media isn't the Liberal monolith it once was when dominated by the three networks the NYT and WAPO.
No they voted for him because the media told them too. And the media is only as liberal as the conservative businesses that own them. And tallest mideget? what does that even mean? if you mean he was the best of the bad, youre smoking crack. Dean is obviously had the better plan for this country...not to mention the support of indepedents.
So a majority of Democrat voters just vote the way they are 'told' to ... good to know the Liberal half of our electorate are a bunch of order taking boobs incapable of thinking for themselves and it does explain a lot. thanks.
well if you want to get to the finer details of the election, voters (dems and repubs alike) voted for whomever the computer said they did...at least in Ohio and Florida that is. Oh ya, where was the media on that one? Kerry equaled gauranteed CHANCE for the biggest idiot in the history of the world to survive to a second term..end of story.
Ok, Lincoln was not a third party candidate... the Republican Party was formed in 1856, Lincoln was the second candidate in 1860... nice facts Mr. Dean
What happened to Howard Dean. Why does he hate 3rd parties. Its good that he was once a progressive but then he became like Michael Moore. These people don't care enough. Once the get a name out the leave, the scene. Nader he a smart and hard working person.
Every election since 1980 has been labeled "the most significant of the century." The Democrats are resorting to scare tactics once again, and will use every dirty trick at their disposal to keep third parties off the ballot. Therefore, I will vote for a third party once again (probably SPUSA).
We should all get behind the Green Party! We are the future!

Democrats haven't put up a real progressive populist liberal in all that time, either.
