@Feder147 I got one free, E4300 from a Dell XPS 410, which is theoretically for gaming?! I got an MSI where I could over clock mine but just ran it normal, which at 1.8 is too low for most games, My T2450 laptop CPU is CoreDuo at 2Ghz per core
I was looking at buying this case and I was concerned mainly about the door swinging the wrong way, but I can see that you found a creative way around that. :) I also don;t like that there is an ugly circle when the duct would be. (I'm gonna have to remove that, too.) But, I can deal with that in exchange for performance.
the dimensions of a 120 mm fan... well if you didnt know 120 mm is 0.12 m which is infact a SI unit. But I guess besides the hight en whidt of 120 mm you're asking for the depth? Well for most 120 mm fans the depth is 25 mm
You you dumass, who said anything about buying a thousand fucking hard drives? I'm saying it's better to have a couple physical drives than one big one and then split it up or something. It's obviously a better choice, it also means that things like defrag etc are loads faster. Try thinking before posting yeah?
hey.. correct me if im wrong.. but the top fan from here looks like its blowing air in.. top fan shuld be pushing out the hot air thats rising.. not blowing it back down so yah.. and you have a 80or92mm fan grill with no fan O.o o...k.... :) not a bad pc though
i just finished building a new rig with that case. very much enjoying it. yours looks awesome. you can see pics of mine by following my homepage link on my youtube page. also pics there of 2 newly built gaming rigs for sale.
right well the light up blue nobs...are for his fans...then theres a media card reader thing....(the silver shit) and at the top thats the temperature in the case and probs some other useless bollocks..and some tacky stickers...nothing special or expensive :P
where would one buy things like that with a screen interface where a CD drive would go? Do they have a generic name? like "temperature screen reader" or something.
o yeah and i forgot....you know on your desktop you have numerous slots where you put your dvd/rw etc. you know when u are changin them you remove the plastic cover which reveals a empty slot right well you just get the LCD display or fan controller and just slot it in there and wire it up with the corresponding cables to the motherboard...or via usb ....................
I have a E4300 best bang for buck out, The X6800 is like £550 C2D E4300@ 3.2Ghz Abit Fatal1ty FP-IN9 SLI Asus 8800GTX 670/2000 GeIL 2GB @ 900MHz 4-4-4-12 2T WD Caviar Sata II 160Gig (Vista) WD Caviar 60Gig (XP Pro) Hitachi Deskstar 250Gig (Storage) Audigy 2 ZS Acer 19" Wide/5ms - Soon to be LG 22" Logitech X-230 w/Subwoofer OCZ GamerXtreme 700 Watt Psu Thermaltake Purepower SLI Cert Gpu Psu 250 Watt 2X Dual Layer Dvd-Rw Antec Nine Hundred Gaming Case w/200mm fan at top.
I used a method which most would find tedious, and that is with a nibbler tool. The nibbler manually cuts bits of metal at a time. Most people who mod cases use a hole saw (google this topic). Tip - put masking tape on the painted surface before cutting to prevent scratches.
I do a lot of home video. Especially with my 16 month old boy. I use Pinnacle Studio software for this. My last system was a P4 3.2GHz, so this new system is a just awesome in comparison.
Thermalright 120 does not come with a fan. You will have to get your own. AS for the noise level, it all depends the type of fan you get...more cfm = more rpm = more noise. You get whatever suits your need.
It is quite sturdy for aluminum. You don't want to sit on it!! But the weight is a definite plus. I am building another computer right now with a metal NZXT Apollo case, it's smaller than the Aluminus and its much more heavier. This case will fit both 8800 - now that's some serious money you got.
I did cut the 120mm hole up top. I am in the process of doing some minor mods to the case. There will eventually be a fan grill placed top. As you can see, the front door was removed because I am working on that right now.
I just bought an Ultra Aluminus today and waiting for it to arrive. Can you in details (tools, techniques etc) teach me how you cut that perfect circle (hole) on top? I really dun wanna phuk it up.

because if that one break your fucked. I would always by 3 200gb or something instead of a 500..

good point i built my computer and for almost a month i couldnt use it and it turned out to be a bad HDD
redneckboy360360 3 years ago
So you're saying its better to have 1,000 1GB drive than 1 1TB drive, because if one fails, you only loose part of your data.

AcuteFX 3 years ago
IT's still going to be more expensive to buy 3 200GB's that a single 500GB, using the example you used.
Plus you use way more power if you have 3 drives running.

My hardware is:
ABIT Intel P965 Express ATX
2 x 1GB G.SKILL RAM
e4300 OC'd @ 3.2 ghz w/ stock heatsink
evga 7600GT (w/e the best 7600GT model is from EVGA, factory OC'd to max, 1600 mhz core clock)
2 x 80mm Side Case Fans
80mm Blue LED Front Case Fan
120mm Blue LED Back Case Fan (all the fans make great cooling, i prob can OC to 3.3)
Then the DVD drives and HDs and whatnot
How mcuh did yours cost?
