I was looking at buying this case and I was concerned mainly about the door swinging the wrong way, but I can see that you found a creative way around that. :) I also don;t like that there is an ugly circle when the duct would be. (I'm gonna have to remove that, too.) But, I can deal with that in exchange for performance.

the dimensions of a 120 mm fan... well if you didnt know 120 mm is 0.12 m which is infact a SI unit. But I guess besides the hight en whidt of 120 mm you're asking for the depth? Well for most 120 mm fans the depth is 25 mm

o yeah and i forgot....you know on your desktop you have numerous slots where you put your dvd/rw etc. you know when u are changin them you remove the plastic cover which reveals a empty slot right well you just get the LCD display or fan controller and just slot it in there and wire it up with the corresponding cables to the motherboard...or via usb ....................

I used a method which most would find tedious, and that is with a nibbler tool. The nibbler manually cuts bits of metal at a time. Most people who mod cases use a hole saw (google this topic). Tip - put masking tape on the painted surface before cutting to prevent scratches.

Thermalright 120 does not come with a fan. You will have to get your own. AS for the noise level, it all depends the type of fan you get...more cfm = more rpm = more noise. You get whatever suits your need.

It is quite sturdy for aluminum. You don't want to sit on it!! But the weight is a definite plus. I am building another computer right now with a metal NZXT Apollo case, it's smaller than the Aluminus and its much more heavier. This case will fit both 8800 - now that's some serious money you got.
