Simon Norfolk on Photojournalism

i was clear when i said the pictures at this BBC report are not special and reflect ordinary photographer, i never heard about his name before, i can judge on the pictures i saw at this report, but i will do some research to know more about him and will reply with more subjective way.

i didn't see anything special at his pictures, while one of Ansel Adams Black and White worth million words. How BBC choose this ordinary level of photographers to make documentary about?????

@producernasser If you consider Simon Norfolk as an 'ordinary level' photographer then you need to brush up on your photography knowledge.

@AlmostJack OK i went online to see what he do and who is he? good that he use large format camera, but this is not enough to make him MASTER, many of his photographs are ordinary in lighting and timing, any young photographer can do similar.

I am not famous photographer but if i will send you some of my large format TOYO and SINAR results, you will change your mind.

Anyway at the end it is opinions, and in my opinion he was at the right place but he didn't benefit from this chance.

@AlmostJack I tried to be logic but again he is only got BIG chance to be on BBC and other Channels maybe, so he got coverage more than many others real artist photographer

I spent a day with Simon Norfolk a couple of years ago, if there is one thing the man is NOT, it's fake! I too would be interested to know why you think this...

I met him a little while ago and he seemed like a totally focused and passionate person who wanted to be accountable for his opinions and not just throw pics out into the world.

He had info to back up and lead on from his work.

How is this fake?
