I'm polish and I quite like the idea of the commercial (and the Euro2008 comercial either). It laughs from well-known stereotypes and I don't think it may contribute to spread them more. I rather don't find it offensive (kurcze ludzie absolutnie dystansu do siebie nie macie!)

But Germans obviously don't know how to direct commercials. There are so stiff, don't have the climax, the suprise (lack of pans) is absolutely blotched. If I had been directing it I would make it much better! ;)

Its not surprising that there are racist Polish jokes in Germany since that's where they originated from. The origin of Polish "jokes" are from Nazi German propaganda and can be found in Hitler's two speeches after he invaded Poland.

Hitler felt Germans needed to hear "jokes" about Poles having "subhuman intelligence" so that the Germans wouldn't mind killing the Poles if they were portrayed as subhuman for being Slavic and anti-Nazi German.
