  • The South has a lot to be proud of. Remember, 300,000 Southern men fought AGAINST the scum sucking pigs of the Confederacy. Another 400,000 men refused to fight for the scum sucking pigs, or deserted them.

The South has not been told this -- the real heros -- 700,000 men -- fought AGAINST the scum sucking Confederates, or deserted them. This is why they lost.

The South should honor their 700,000 brave and principled men of honor -- those who fought against the scum sucking pigs

  • I here declare my unmitigated hatred to Yankee rule -- to all political, social and business connection with the Yankees. Would that I could impress these sentiments, in their full force, on every living Southerner and bequeath them to every one yet to be born! May such sentiments be held universally in the outraged and down-trodden South.

  • Can you imagine what those Obama Socialists would do if the Sons, North and South, marched together on Washington?

A Country United!!! They would pack up and move to Mexico.

  • I am proud to call myself a member of the Sons of Confederate Veterans.

I joined because I am a proud Southern man who honors his ancestor: Pvt. Jackson S. Roden 48th Alabama Inf. Regt. Killed on Sept. 19, 1863 at the Battle of Chickamauga, GA.

God Bless The SCV and the South! Deo Vindice!

  • I do not know where you live, however, you sound like a reasonable person. Today, over a million southerners can trace family roots back to the war. It is still a deeply emotional issue for us. Not the war itself but the reconstruction period was worse than the war itself. I do think that if Lincoln was not killed, reconstruction would have gone much more differently. If you would like to continue this discussion great but this 500 word limit is maddening. lol

  • @SCVAOTdotorg you should honor the brave Southern men who fought AGAINST the Confederates-- some 300,000 SOuthern men. These honorable brave men fought for principle and freedom. Not for slavery, nor for the spread of slavery.

With out these 300,000 Southern men fighting AGAINST the Confederacy, the South wins a spreads its vile slavery, just as the Southern leaders demanded.

Learn the South's own ULtimatums, as reported in their own papers, March 21, 1863

  • @FreeLunchTax Sorry you are misnformed only 5% owned slaves, Lincoln offered 2 pass the corwin amendment which would have made slavery legal forever in the south and illegal elsewhere, if the states only seceded for the right to keep saves, lincoln gave them their wish by guaranteeing the corwin amendment would have passed. however, the states rejected lincolns offer, meaning their secession was about something else other thn the right to keep slaves because that right was guaranteed by lincoln.

  • Advocating your group and the splitting of the country at that time is to promote dis-unity and the practises true beliefs of the ceceding party, or that Confederates believed in forced - by punishment or death - slavery, to make the living and or riches of the slave-keepers. That was a wrong and criminal cause. You, now, promote hatred and criminality by inferring you were 'right' and your fight, not the Unions', was the 'good fight'. You embarrass yourselves and your country.

  • I would refer yo to the 9th and 10th of the US constitution which provide for a very limited government and to any right of the states not given to the Federal government. Your reference to slavery, I would remind you that the North had slaves as did Grant and Sherman, and was not made illegal till 12/1865. As for force it was the North that invaded the South. I will NOT allow you or anyone else to define MY heritage. It does sound like you are a victim of the public, federal school system.

  • The war wasnt about slavery it was about fighting tyrrany and unfairness and your promoting a stereotype I dont appreciate it I am a member and my family never owned a slave we dont embarrass are country you embarrass yourself you had no need to comment on this video accept to start trouble so what does that say f you?

  • fuhmeregan, you sir are yourself promoting hatred by opposing those who support their heritage honorably.

Worse yet, you choose to call those brave men who died criminals, without once questioning that the actions of the Federal Union itself might not be criminal. Did you ever ask yourself how a President of the United States justifies sending in troops in invade "his own country?"

I suppose if the president in question had been named Bush it might prove easier for you to do so, eh?

  • Thanks for speaking the truth !

  • We will be nothing more than a museum peace to be look at and mocked with great laughter. I am saddened because the south is dead and our heritage fades. We are the snuffed out candle with only a few trails of smoke puffs trailing from the wick. We are dead and you are to blame.
