This is an absolutely brilliant live version of this song. As has been mentioned before, the piano play is superb, and for me, to hear the intricacy of the harmonies is just sublime. Its a timeless song which I've heard over and over again and have never ever got sick off. Well done World Party, please keep these masterpieces coming! :-)
I heard this song on the radio about two weeks ago. It was one of those days where the market had crashed again. Talk about hitting home. "I'm really worried about living." How many times have you heard that thought in the last few months? "We're living on a landslide." All said, the song has given me a chance to explore World Party. John
The electric piano player is supreme, the gutairists, they all are creating music that has never been heard before, not one note. Karl is one of a kind.
Jugswede says "Knockin' on Heaven's Door," but I hear more like Big Head Todd, "Bittersweet." Not sure which song came first. Notice Karl includes the verse added by my all-time fave female minstrel, Eliza Gilkyson (the 2nd verse, about the Greeks laughing at notions of the universe, guessing God's name.) She does a fantastic version of this timeless song about the human mythos... it's on her recent album, "Paradise Hotel."
Is anyone gonna comment on the similarities to knocking on heaven's door in chord structure? A brilliant use of a simple sequence. Pop doesn't get much more eloquent about the human condition.
Wow, this is also the first song I ever figured out how to play on guitar, when I was 12 or 13, since they were some of the first chords I learned on my chord chart.
I just can't get enough of this song. How could it come to this?

I feel like I've finally gone through my old VHS library and watched this for the 15th million time. This is far more simpler. Thanx for uploading.

I think she is Amanda Kramer and also the wife of Dave Catlin-Birch, one of the guitaritst, unless I am totally mistaken.

Completely correct - only Dave is generally the bass player. :)

This song is a total CLASSIC! Dave plays a bass line on this song that Paul himself would have been proud of!

This was the 1st song i figured out how to play on the guitar. The chords in the verses was already part of a song I was writing @ the time.

Thanks for posting this beautiful song. I especially like the harmonies on this version. Shame that this tune isn't more well known.
