By the way, if you think Rio Salado is bad for customer service - you should take a semester at Ivy Tech Community College of Indiana at Bloomington. Financial Aid emails UN-returned, hung up on multiple times at both Fin-aid and Cashiers office, academic advisory appointments canceled multiple times with no notice (upon me arriving at the school). In my experience, the front end of most Jr. Colleges suck.

And Rio Salado is one of 10 colleges owned and operated by Maricopa Community Colleges. Did you know, that even cities, generally, are companies? To be exact, Municipal Corporations...
Honey, that is the way ONLINE schools work. Any way, any online college operates in the same way - it's not Rio, it's online schools in general. I went to Ivy Tech CC online, and it worked the same way. Teachers in online courses do not meet face to face, that is what the ONLINE part indicates. You can go to Rio in person too..
@ParanormalIndiana Rio is horrible regardless. Who ever told you that because they are like all ONLINE schools it makes it o.k for the teacher not to teach should be smacked LOL. They are HORRIBLE and other J.R. Colleges who have ONLINE programs are amazing out here.

I tell you from my standpoint - both operated almost exactly alike. Communication occurs via email, usually taking 1-2 days to get a reply. Online courses are very much "read a book and take a test" courses - there is no "teaching" going on.
Today was the first time I've attempted to utilize the advisement office at Rio Salado. I was helped out by a blind guy(not that I have anything against blind people) who couldn't even see my checksheet or transcripts; he just rushed through our entire session it was kind of akward. I agree with your stating the advisement is bad. I agree that the math and science courses are not of good quality. I did have a great experience with the ASB245, CIS105, and SOC140 instructors though. They're great.

I went in once for advise an I dont tend to judge people on their disability, but when you walk into a wall in front of me I am going to laugh, blind or not. Him being blind just made it that much funnier. I fee if you laugh at one person you should laugh at them all. BTW If you need help with anything if you are transferring just let me know, I can pro be more helpful then him.

I have had a TERRIBLE expreience with rio salado and will NEVER take another class there and would recommend the same to anyone else!
