@mohamedjoker21 its a myth made up by messi fans because he failed to scored against barcelona in the classicos (2009/2010), infact he is always the best player vs barcelona whenever they play...
@69salford69 lol hes neither faster nor stronger then Ronaldo but other than that you're correct about everything you said, if Ronaldo had been the one to take HGH we'd never hear the end of it
Well he was top scorer that season and he played LM for most of the season so i think thats a great achievement. I think Brazillian Ronaldo is good aswell but i dont quite think he fulfilled his potential :L
@FawlyAlmighty never reached his full potential??? the brazilian ronaldo has won 3 fifa world player of the year and 2 world cups and is the all time leading scorer in the world cup, if you dont think that is reaching full potential then i dont know what is
Yes yes he did all that but imagine how much mroe he could have done if he hadn't have had those injuries? He retired prematurely didn't he and i feel players like Giggs adn Scholes have fulfilled their potential, as have VDS and Neville. Im not saying his career wasn't awesome because don't get me wrong im a fan of Ronaldo, i just feel without his injuries and that fit he had before the world cup final then he could have won more.
@69salford69 u're such a disgrace man...a real anti-football cunt fan....fuck off bitch...get a life...dont grow like a fucking parasite .. your remarks are well better off within your own gay dicksucking anti-football community...fuck off dipshit X(
@asy010 Cheers mate, any genuine football FAN knows Ronaldo is a better player. Thanks for being a good fan.
@eneskarakas You need to see Ronaldo as an entertainer who is acting for the crowd. It's like WWE wrestling; Messi is the crowd favourite, the golden boy who is nice, and Ronaldo is the bad guy, who's arrogance is matched only by his skill.
Ronaldo and Messi are opposite and equal. Ronaldo is more entertaining because his character is controversial and he creates funny moments
@dannykyo Calm down, you idiot. Form is temporary, Brown was a great defender at his peak, he's been overshone by an inclusion of other even better defenders now. And how did you deduce I am foreign from that comment? I'm a Mancunian.
quite simply phenomonal, ronaldo is the best in the world, i don't care what they say about messi, most people just dont like cr7s flashy superstar life, they love the humble messi. for pure talent and non drug use ronaldo is the best. my fave player of all time. hala madrid, glory glor man united !!!
Lol, if he was their best midfielder, he would not be playing at right back most of the season, which he wasn't you will find... Not to mention, Chelsea had Lampard, Ballack and Makelele in midfield.. Hardly a weak midfield without Essien is it... And what about currently... Who are top of the league? It's not Chelsea is it- with essien in the midfield.
Have a look at messi's header against manchester united then come back here and tell me that you still think he cant score all round goals..
Thats just one example..
Another is when messi dived to meet a cross and scored with his chest while diving through mid air.. Replays showed he meant to do what he did..
If you dont know the videos im talking about than i dont think you can put yourself in a position to even mention Messi's name, let alone compare him to Ronaldo
@MrAml2010 well ronaldo has socred nice goals i dont remember messi scoring a goal with his heel or a bycicle kick which should have counted or score a free kick like ronaldo did against portsmouth i think ronaldo is a all around messi is not
@MrAml2010 one fucking lucky header against a team who failed to show up does not mean he can now header consistently, messi cnt score with his right or his head overall FACE IT..Cristiano Ronaldo Owns messi as an overall player, you and the messi buttlickers need to get that through your heads SOONER RATHER THAN LATER!
@lethal22 Lucky header? Lol, very funny. By the way, Messi has scored many goals with his right.. Check out his best 50 goals on here and you will see that. Ronaldo has never scored a goal like Messi's against Getafe. He simply isn't the dribbler Messi is. His best solo goal was against Villarreal where he beat two players. Messi is a class apart. Been able to shoot from distance and head the ball hardly compares to someone who can run through defences beating 4/5 players and score.
@Gfresh844 dude just stop ronaldo is better hes more complete who cares if messi can pass through defences but thats the only thing he has plus messi gets less pressure when being defended unlike ronaldo who gets full pressure also messi cant do free style like ronaldo no step overs no rabonnas ronaldo chop we want an expectacular player who can do more just than makeing cuts to the left and right
@elmexicanochilango Who cares if he can pass through defences? The only thing he has? Dribbling past defences is the hardest thing to do in football. After all, we see long shot goals frequently, but dribbling goals like Messi has scored are a rarity. That's why he's so highly regarded. He is the best at doing the hardest thing in the game. That aside, he also has now become a great playmaker- Ronaldo's vision and passing doesn't compare. Then there is the fact he has the best stats around.
@elmexicanochilango He is beating Ronaldo not only in the scoring charts having played three less games in the league and four less penalties, but he has many more assists also...
Way off. Messi gets less pressure? Are you kidding me? There are at times four of five players around Messi trying to stop him because they know of his threat of the ball. Ronaldo gets a lot of pressure, for sure, but Messi certainly does not get any less. To say that is misguided and just shows huge bias.
@elmexicanochilango As for tricks, we are talking about football, not freestyle. Most of Ronaldo's tricks are for show. Some are effective, but ultimately, they are not and never will be as effective as Messi in full flight. The Argentine, dribbling ability is far more that cutting right or left. Just watch his dribbles on here and you will see that.
@elmexicanochilango Tricks are simple to learn, but dribbling ability is natural. Messi does not need them. He has been taught by Barca to be as effective as possible and that's exactly what he is.. Of course he can do them- After all, he's the best footballer in the world.... Like I say though, why use them when you can dribble like that? As good as Ronaldo is Messi is a class apart. He is regarded as the best player of his generation for a reason....
@elmexicanochilango Ronaldo can shoot better, header better, better with both feet, better crosser, and better finisher, whereas messi is better passer and dribbler that is it, too many messi bum lickers love this guy just so they can hate on Ronaldo and claim he is not the best in the world. If Ronaldo was still at United it would not be a competition as to who is the best as Ronaldo would still be miles ahead
@lethal22 Better finisher? If you look at the facts, you will see that by league statistics alone, Messi still has one more goal, even though he has had only 105 shots, compared to Ronaldo who has had a massive 184 shots- So not only is he a better dribbler, passer but clearly he is the one who is the best finisher. And like i say, Messi's ability to be able to consistently do the hardest thing in the game makes him the best. After all, it's the best dribblers who are seen as the greatest.
@Gfresh844 And the amount of shots you take aren't an indication of your quality of finishing considering not all shots are under the same circumstances... Simple concept, try using some common sense.
@DzekoSucks And is in not true that having more shots= more chances to find the net..
And if you assess the finishing of both players, you will find Messi converts more of the clear cut chances he gets. Messi clearly has more finesse about his finishing, becuase Ronaldo opts for power a lot more than the Argentine. As a result, that hinders Ronaldo at times.
@69salford69 Yeah, forgot about Ronaldo's wonderful tournament... One of the luckiest goals you will see against an appauling North Krea team... Clearly he lit up the tournament. As for the crying part, are you serious? What about Ronaldo sobbing against Greece, Arsenal, France, etc?
@Gfresh844 Yeah, all Messi fans forget about Ronaldo's goal at the World Cup. They also forget Ronaldo came from obscurity, proved himself in the toughest league on Earth, dominated the whole of Europe with 42 goals in one season, winning the Champions League after knocking out Messi's fantastic Barcelona team.
Messi was given drugs and chemicals like a Frankenstein footballer, trained in the best team in Europe for 10-15 years and you think I wouldn't be as good as Messi if I had these chances
@69salford69 I'm a united fan dude so know how important Ronaldo was for us. However, lets no get it twisted, Messi is the better player. Ronaldo is a great player, but Messi is a class apart. Messi's dribbling ability is and his passing makes him the truly special player.
@69salford69 In regards of the Barca game, that was down to scholes brillliant strike. Ronaldo has always struggled against the catalans. When he and Messi have gone head to head it's the Argentine who has shined. As for the drugs, they were growth hormones. They do not make you a great footballer. Messi's ability is all natural. That's obvious, To say you would be as good as Messi if you had taken them is just laughable. Just hope that comment is purely sarcastic.
@Gfresh844 Yeah I was joking I wouldn't be as good as Messi........I would be better :P
After you read my comment just click these blue numbers 0:15 and just watch and listen..."...stunning header! Cech doesn't move. It's beyond him in a flash. Stunning header."
"He's the top scorer in pretty much everything, including this Champions League, that's his 8th..."
Messi was in that Champions League and he was outscored by Ronaldo. Messi was at the World Cup and he was outscored by Ronaldo.
@69salford69 Like I said, I'm a united fan. When he scored I was delighted. I was also gutted when he missed the pen in the shootout...
For the record, Messi had an injury hit season that year... Every season in which he has remained fully fit, he has been sensational... And again, lol at the world cup comment. Ronaldo was just as disappointing. infact, Messi was involved in more of Argentina's goals than Ronaldo was for his country.
@Gfresh844 What Messi has in dribbling and passing ability, Ronaldo has in heading and long-range shooting ability. They are two different players, like Henry Vs Nisterlooy.
Messi is a result of "modern" "soft" football where small players with low centre of gravity are king. The days where Van Basten, Cantona, Zidane, Ronaldo style players who are tall and agile are gone, and now we have Xavi, Iniesta, Messi, Wilshire, Walcott, Arshavin style players who are king.
@69salford69 Coming from a huge admirer of Van Nistelrooy, Henry at his best was the more special player because he could do things with the ball at his feet Van Nistelrooy couldn't. That's the case with Messi and Ronaldo.
As for being soft, whilst Ronaldo has the better physique, the fact he is the one who goes to ground far more easily makes him the softer of the two. Like George Best, whilst Messi has a small frame, he has far more determination to stay on his feet.
@69salford69 Are you for real? Henry clearly had a goalscorers instinct.. That's rather obvious. You don't have the goal ratio he did without having a natural instinct ... As for the Messi comment, again that's a silly comment. Clearly he is able to ride tackles. He does it on a regular basis...
@Gfresh844 cr7 was injured from january that season. he had a fracture in his foot, yet still took man utd with far worse players than barca to cl and prem glory. (That is why he had surgery after euro 2008) so your comment is not true.
As for comparing portugal to argentina. with ronaldo in a team of players vastly inferior to messi's argentina, he took portugal to a euro final, a world cup semi, another euro qf and lost in the world cup to the champions in the end.
@dazdadon1 What part of comment is not true? Please explain... And you seem to be forgetting that it was Scholes's goal that got united to the final. That was the difference maker. And whilst Ronaldo scored the goal in open play against Chelsea, it was because of other players scoring from the spot that won us the shootout. Therefore, as good as Ronaldo was, other players in the side played a crucial part..
@dazdadon1 As for united having far worse players, that's way off. Players like Scholes, Ferdinand, Giggs, Vidic, Rooney, Tevez are some of the best around.. They are world class- so don't try and act like Ronaldo was surronded by poor players. Man Utd are one of the biggest clubs in Europe.
Again, you make it sound like Ronaldo single-handedly dragged Portugal to the final against Greece. He played well at Euro 2004, but Portugal's progression was down just as much to other players also.
@dazdadon1 And lets not forget, he played in a side that had Deco, Figo, Rui Costa, Simao, Couto.. Hardly inferior are they.. As for the 2006 wc, he did little. One goal from the penalty spot. Not exactly a case of a player taking his team to the semi's, is it? The same goes for the last world cup. Like Messi, he was below par. One fortunate goal against an appauling north Korea side...
@Gfresh844 When was the last time figo played well for portugal? flopped in 2 wc and 1 euro last I checked. Rui costa hardly played for portugal because of deco who was so good barcelona let him go, simao has never had a good game for portugal in a finals tournament and couto, the less said the better. Name me one decent striker portugal have had,( and dont say pauletta is good cos he isn't) player for player argentina is far superior. hell player for player england france holland are far better
@dazdadon1 Hang on, you say all these players flopped as if Ronaldo shone? What did he do at the world cup in 2006 that was so special? What did he do in South Africa that was so great? What did he do at Euro 2008? You say Figo flopped for Portugal, so that would means Ronaldo has flopped at all these tournaments also..
Rui Costa won 94 caps. He's one of the best players they have had... As for Couto, he won 110 caps, so trying to make out he is a bad defender is just laughable.
@Gfresh844 he took them to the semis, lost to a france team who won by a penalty, and lost out to being the young player of the tournament because of his diving and overall bad behaviour. Do you actually watch live games by any chance or just highlights? do you see xavis 90 percent passing stats and iniestas drive from midfield to create attacking situations, and eto'os clever running (now villa's) that opens up space for the barca attack which messi used to exploit?
@dazdadon1 As is trying to make out Deco was a bad player. He was great at Porto and in his first few seasons at Barca.
Oh, and you can add Carvalho, Pepe and Raul Meireles to that list of players. As for strikers, what about Nuno Gomes? 29 goals in 77 is hardly a bad ratio at international level.Though I'd agree player for player the Argentine's are currently better, it's by no means the gulf in class you make it out to be.
@dazdadon1 Especially given that in South Africa Maradona left out a number of good Argentina players and his tactics hardly got the best out of his side... Ronaldo fans always criticise Messi for Argentina, but if we look at the facts, Ronaldo is yet to stand out for his country...
@Gfresh844 As for club football, messi is playing for one of the best teams in the history of football, yet cr7 carried man utd to 3 league titles and two champions league final winning one in the process. messi doesn't carry barcelona. Ronaldinho did that before, now xavi carries the team alongside iniesta. Messi is brilliant, but he feeds of xavi and iniesta, while ronaldo carries weak teams (like Man Utd, my team) with his tremendous skill. I am a man utd fan so I know.
@dazdadon1 Lol, Xavi and Iniesta carry Barcelona? Sorry, but how many goals have they scored for them? Messi even has more assists in the league than both put together this season... The Argentine has been their best player over the past three seasons... Xavi and Iniesta are great players, but to say he carries them is a joke.
@dazdadon1 Lets look at their stats in the past two seasons in the league.. 2009/2010 Messi- 34goals and 10 assists Xavi- 3 goals 14 assists Iniesta less games played but one goal and five assists 2010/2011 Messi 27 goals- 16 assists Xavi 3 goals and 5 assists Iniesta- 7 goals 3 assists Lol, I think it's obvious who the player Barca are most reliant on is. united a weak team, what a joke. They are one of the strongest teams in Europe. Just look at their success.
@Gfresh844 Do you actually watch full games or just read stats and watch youtube highlights? watch at least 10 games of barcelona live and then tell me who is more important xavi or messi. I have been watching football live, unlike you, to have an informed opinion. As to the utd weaker team comment, tell me who has the best midfield in the premier league? up until last season, clearly chelsea, defence? clearly chelsea, strike? clearly chelsea. Ronaldo made the difference from 2nd best 2 winners
@Gfresh844 Weak team doesn't mean crap, compare barcelona's team, and chelsea's team with utd's when utd were winning titles, hell compare even loserpool to that team and then tell me utd were stronger. A midfield that relies on fletcher, carrick, anderson scholes at 32-34 and giggs at 33-35 and an incosistant nani and park cannot compare to barca, chelsea. Put that team without ronaldo and chelsea team without drogba and barcelona without messi, barca will come top then chelsea then man utd.
@dazdadon1I'm sorry, but a weak team does not win the premier League and the CL. To win those trophies you have to have a very good defence, a midfield that creates and good strikers. A side that has the likes of Ferdinand, Evra, Vidic, Van Der Sar, Scholes, Hargreaves (when fit) Fletcher, Giggs Rooney and Tevez is not a weak side. The likes of Scholes, Giggs, Rooney and Tevez created many chances for Ronaldo to score. Without those players creating, he would not have got all those goals.
@dazdadon1 And Scholes and Giggs were fantastic that season- Scholes inparticular. Their ages are irelevant, given that they performed exceptionally. That's why they are still at the club. As for United not comparing to Chelsea, if that's the case, then why is it united are top of the league now- without Ronaldo? Barca may still rule the roost without Messi, but they would certainly miss his goals and creativity. Also, what about Madrid? Have they not won their recent games without Ronaldo?
@dazdadon1 How did he take them to the semi's in 2006? He scored one goal (a penalty) against Iran all tournament... So how does that equate to him being responsible for their progression to the semi finals? He had to come off against Holland and it was Maniche's goal that beat the Netherlands.. He didn't even make the all star team- It was Ricardo, Carvalho, Maniche and Figo who made the all star team, not Ronaldo-so don't try and make out like he had a great competition, because he didn't..
@Gfresh844 I know for sure now that you haven't watched the world cup 2006. Nobody who has seen the world cup can say such rubbish. My god you sound like a bitter messi fan. CR7's behaviour (diving and cheating) in the world cup meant that fifa took him out of the reckoning.
@dazdadon1 Where did I say he was rubbish? I said to claim he carried the team to the semi's is pure bias. If he was as great as you claim to be, he would have scored more goals than he did and would have made the all star team. He didn't though, did he? It's the facts. You just sound completely biased trying to make out he had a great tournament. Look at the evidence please.
@Gfresh844 I have watched and recorded every game of the world cup, you have just seen goals and assist stats. go back over the wc2006 games properly and then tell me he had a poor tournament. He was prtugal's best player v france, v england etc
@dazdadon1 Sorry do you know me? Fyi I watched every single game. Don't say things like I have just seen the highlights because it makes you sound incredibly ignorant. I guess the people at fifa who decided the all star team got it wrong then? Sorry, but what did he do against France? Did he score- did he assist? He did a couple of good things but it ultimately led to nothing. Same against England. He scored the winning penalty, but did not make the deciding contribution in open play.
@Gfresh844 they gave zidane the player of the tournament when he had only one great game, three poor games and two average games, and did I not mention that FIFA stated that CR7s behaviour was the reason he wasn't given the young player of the tournament? You try to quote fifa, yet you missed their comments on cr7
@Gfresh844 news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/world_cup_2006/5157434.stm read this and you will understand how good ronaldo was in the tournament and why fifa did not consider him
@dazdadon1 Stop trying to make out like he was great. He wasn't. He did not drag Portugal to the semis and that's a fact. If you want an example of a player being good at a world cup then look no further than Maradona in 86. His outstanding displays- goals and assists are that of a player who was great. How many goals did Ronaldo score again? How many assists did he create? Exactly. A player dragging a team to a certain stage is one who scores and creates, ronaldo did neither.
@Gfresh844 Again with your bs. Everybody who has watched wc2006 had no doubt ronaldo was brilliant in it except you. Nobody else can deny it, but for some reason you are the only person in the world who thought cr7 was poor. how can anybody argue with somebody who claims to have seen a tournament which even england supporters have said he was great in, and still say he was poor because stats dont back it up. you somehow discount all buildup play which leads to assists& goals as inconsequential.
@dazdadon1 Again, you'recompletely ignoring the facts...I said he did not drag Portugal to the semis like you claim. I've given you the evidence to show that. Why are you still ignoring that? Like I said, for a player to drag his team he has to be the one to score or create goals. Did he do that? Where was he against Holland? on't try and make out his build up play led to portugals goals because the evidence shows it didn't...
@dazdadon1 And we are talking also about him supposedly carrying portugal to the semis? Look at the facts and you will see he didn't... Like I said, he came off against holland and Maniche scored the winner... How is he responsible therefore for their progression in that game?
@dazdadon1 Yes, infact I have watched virtually every game Barca have played, and anyone who isn't biased will tell you Messi is their best player. That is reflected in his performances and stats. Like I said, Xavi and Iniesta are great players who are immensely important to Barca, but trying to make out they are more important than Messi has been with all the goals and assists he has managed is ridiculous. It's like me saying Ozil and Alonso have been more important to Madrid than Ronaldo...
@Gfresh844 But the fact is this. If you have played football, the midfield is the most important part of the team. Whether messi is better than ronaldo vice versa (i have never said cr7 is better than messi fyi, I believe they have a long way to go to do what ronaldinho has done), barca's midfield dictate the way they play. ozil & alonso are more important to the TEAM than cr7 is just as xavi & iniesta are more important than messi is. When ozil and alonso play good, they bring out the best....
@dazdadon1 But that completely contradicts what you said about Ronaldo carrying united.. After all, you said he carried a weak team with a weak midfield- who in actual fact created many of his chances and now you say the midfield is the most important component in a side.. You can't say one thing then do a u turn...
@Gfresh844 That is why I said he CARRIED them. against the weak teams cr7 was on fire and against the best teams he didn't perform or have you forgotten cr7's biggest criticism, that he doesn't turn up in the big games?
@Gfresh844 When man utd's midfield had a spell of domination cr7 has scored. see cl final, first half man utd midfield played brilliant cr7 was brilliat. second half cr7 was nowhere. Against barca, first 10 minutes ronaldo immense, as soon as iniesta created eto'os goal and xavi took over the midfield, cr7 disappeared. Same has happened to messi, same has happened to ronaldinho etc.
@dazdadon1 So, if that's the case, why are you contradicting yourself by firstly saying he carried united and now saying it's down to the midfield- it makes no sense. It's quite obvious that for Ronaldo to even perform against the lesser teams, united's midfield had to be better than the opposing side, because as you said, he would not see as much of the ball otherwise..
@Gfresh844 I don't see the contradiction, I never compared utd's midfield to stoke or brighton and hove albion. I have compared it to the elite teams, barca and chelsea at that time. The utd midfield was poor compared to them, thats why they hardly had a good result against them. Had essien not played at rightback for chelsea in the cl2009 final utd would not have dominated for so long in midfield like they didn't in the league when chelsea's full strength midfiel played
@dazdadon1 And like I said, who is it who is top of the league without Ronaldo? It's not Chelsea is it? Even with Ronaldo did we not beat Barcelona thanks to Scholes goal? Did we not win the league- beting Chelsea? To quote what you said "midfield is the most important part to a team" so by your logic united's was better than both because they beat Barca and Chelsea that season and remain top now...
@Gfresh844 thats a stupid comment. did you see the semis? utd were lucky to get a result, barca had at least 65% of territory. united were hanging on. United were overpowered in midfield so they overloaded the defence. 10 players defending a goal is obviously going to be better than three people in midfield
@dazdadon1 Sorry, but did united not win the game though.. The fact is Barca did not score in both games and despite heavy pressure in the game at Ot, actually didn't create many clear cut chances...
@Gfresh844 Chelsea had essien play rightback most of the season. if your best midfielder is is unable to help the midfield because he is a playing at rightback, what do you think will happen.
in ronaldo and he becomes unstoppable, when they play bad cr7 plays bad because he can't get the ball. same with messi, whenever xavi has been stopped (inter milan or chelsea games) messi has not performed. Messi may be their best player technically , but not the most important player. You would know this if you have played football to a decent level like I have. You like other fans see messi score many goals and attribute it all to him (like cr7 fans with him), you never give his team credit.
@dazdadon1 Clearly Messi is their best player. If you took Xavi or Iniesta out of the team Barca would bring in someone like Kieta- as they've done many times and would still win. What matters most in football is goals and that's something both Xavi and Iniesta do not get often enough for either to be considered the most important player to the Barca side.
@dazdadon1 And please don't say you would know this if you have played football to a decent level because that means nothing... It's common sense from not only playing but watching football where knowledge is gained. And, for the record, I have played football at a pretty haigh level, not that any of that is relevant when discussing this.
@Gfresh844 you haven't. Its quite blatantly obvious, because if you have played football to a decent level, you will know how important creating space, keeping posession, and creating openings are.
@dazdadon1 Did I not say that Xavi and Iniesta are immensely important to Barca? I did and it's quite obvious. Don't ignore what has been written as it does you no favours.. You would also know that goals in football are the most important thing. Whilst creativity is imperative, having someone who can score as consistently as Messi does is vital, especially given some of the goals he creates himself out of nothing..
@dazdadon1 Lol, weak team. Btw, I've been supporting them since 93 so know a thing or two.... I know no one with any knowledge would dare try and make out they are a weak side.. That comment is utterly ridiculous. They were the best team in the premier league before Ronaldo came along and remain the best now.
I think that it deserves respect that Barcelona gives a player the possibility to play football if he has talent. Of course they gave him so called "drugs" that he can grow up but you cannot tell me that Messi is stronger now than Ronaldo comparing their body.
@AndiSGE The drugs had an impact on two main parts to Messi's game; strength and stamina.
Messi's main skills as a great player is dribble speed, dribble strength, finishing and stamina. So without the drugs Messi would only have dribble speed and finishing.
He could NOT play 90 minutes, he could NOT run past 8 players in one dribble and could not finish his shots with such power.
Barcelona have the greatest player EVER but he would be NOTHING without his drugs.
if he really is a cheat, go to fifa and tell them. I'm convinced that the "drugs" helped Messi a lot, but I am also convinced of Messi's talent. Earlier or later Messi would have been the greatest player on the world
@69salford69 u are one deluded bastard...one of those ronaldo's cunt sucking fans who are JUST determined to undermine the BEST player on the planet by typing nothing but epic bullshit to prove something that messi has already proven with 52 goals...messi was given drugs right...Are you on drugs boy ? do you have any sense of what you are saying ? .. if i were to show this to those who KNOW the facts..they'd be laughing at your shitty remarks...shame people like you exist..show some respect.
@lethal22 Players like Maradona, Cruyff, Pele, Best, etc... Ronaldo is a level below those players in that respect... And whilst he is a fantastic player, being able to head the ball and shoot from distance is hardly comparable to someone who cn make defences look foolish as Messi does...
As for the united comment, how does that figure? I'm a united fan, but Barcelona dominated us in the Champions League final...
@lethal22 Since Messi has remained fit, he proved he was the best player when Ronaldo was still at united.. After all, he won world player of the year based on what he did in Ronaldo's last year at the club. Therefore, to say Ronaldo would stil be miles ahead is completely off the mark.
@lethal22 Not to mention, that he also assists so frequently. Ronaldo is a top player, but messi is already regarded as the best footballer of his generation, and is 2 and half years younger. He can do things with the ball Ronaldo will never be able to. Ronaldo has scored some great long shots, but we see goals like that far more regularly than we do dribbling ones. To do what Messi does, in full flight, is the hardest thing in football and that's why he is seen as the best.
ronaldo is better than messi cuz ronaldo is a all around player messi is not ronaldo can score headers and free kick while messi cant shoot free kicks and he probably would of missed this header that ronaldo scored HALA MADRID
fuck messi in maradonas ass

@FawlyAlmighty never reached his full potential??? the brazilian ronaldo has won 3 fifa world player of the year and 2 world cups and is the all time leading scorer in the world cup, if you dont think that is reaching full potential then i dont know what is

@godvm5

@elmexicanochiliango
MrAml2010 1 year ago
@MrAml2010 That was the only ever goal Messi scored with his head though.
ivantuga2 1 year ago
@MrAml2010 well ronaldo has socred nice goals i dont remember messi scoring a goal with his heel or a bycicle kick which should have counted or score a free kick like ronaldo did against portsmouth i think ronaldo is a all around messi is not
elmexicanochilango 1 year ago
@MrAml2010 one fucking lucky header against a team who failed to show up does not mean he can now header consistently, messi cnt score with his right or his head overall FACE IT..Cristiano Ronaldo Owns messi as an overall player, you and the messi buttlickers need to get that through your heads SOONER RATHER THAN LATER!
lethal22 1 year ago
@lethal22
I agree.
Ronaldo is much more complete, and that's what makes him better than Messi.
ThaEbbesen 1 year ago
@lethal22 Lucky header? Lol, very funny. By the way, Messi has scored many goals with his right.. Check out his best 50 goals on here and you will see that. Ronaldo has never scored a goal like Messi's against Getafe. He simply isn't the dribbler Messi is. His best solo goal was against Villarreal where he beat two players. Messi is a class apart. Been able to shoot from distance and head the ball hardly compares to someone who can run through defences beating 4/5 players and score.
Gfresh844 1 year ago
@Gfresh844 dude just stop ronaldo is better hes more complete who cares if messi can pass through defences but thats the only thing he has plus messi gets less pressure when being defended unlike ronaldo who gets full pressure also messi cant do free style like ronaldo no step overs no rabonnas ronaldo chop we want an expectacular player who can do more just than makeing cuts to the left and right
elmexicanochilango 1 year ago
@elmexicanochilango Who cares if he can pass through defences? The only thing he has? Dribbling past defences is the hardest thing to do in football. After all, we see long shot goals frequently, but dribbling goals like Messi has scored are a rarity. That's why he's so highly regarded. He is the best at doing the hardest thing in the game. That aside, he also has now become a great playmaker- Ronaldo's vision and passing doesn't compare. Then there is the fact he has the best stats around.
Gfresh844 1 year ago
@elmexicanochilango He is beating Ronaldo not only in the scoring charts having played three less games in the league and four less penalties, but he has many more assists also...
Way off. Messi gets less pressure? Are you kidding me? There are at times four of five players around Messi trying to stop him because they know of his threat of the ball. Ronaldo gets a lot of pressure, for sure, but Messi certainly does not get any less. To say that is misguided and just shows huge bias.
Gfresh844 1 year ago
@elmexicanochilango As for tricks, we are talking about football, not freestyle. Most of Ronaldo's tricks are for show. Some are effective, but ultimately, they are not and never will be as effective as Messi in full flight. The Argentine, dribbling ability is far more that cutting right or left. Just watch his dribbles on here and you will see that.
Gfresh844 1 year ago
@elmexicanochilango Tricks are simple to learn, but dribbling ability is natural. Messi does not need them. He has been taught by Barca to be as effective as possible and that's exactly what he is.. Of course he can do them- After all, he's the best footballer in the world.... Like I say though, why use them when you can dribble like that? As good as Ronaldo is Messi is a class apart. He is regarded as the best player of his generation for a reason....
Gfresh844 1 year ago
@elmexicanochilango Ronaldo can shoot better, header better, better with both feet, better crosser, and better finisher, whereas messi is better passer and dribbler that is it, too many messi bum lickers love this guy just so they can hate on Ronaldo and claim he is not the best in the world. If Ronaldo was still at United it would not be a competition as to who is the best as Ronaldo would still be miles ahead
lethal22 1 year ago
@lethal22 Better finisher? If you look at the facts, you will see that by league statistics alone, Messi still has one more goal, even though he has had only 105 shots, compared to Ronaldo who has had a massive 184 shots- So not only is he a better dribbler, passer but clearly he is the one who is the best finisher. And like i say, Messi's ability to be able to consistently do the hardest thing in the game makes him the best. After all, it's the best dribblers who are seen as the greatest.
Gfresh844 1 year ago
@Gfresh844 Shots aren't an indication of finishing... Messi rarely, if ever, shoots from long range and takes free kicks.
DzekoSucks 1 year ago
@DzekoSucks More shots= more opportunities to score... Pretty simple really.
Gfresh844 1 year ago
@Gfresh844 And the amount of shots you take aren't an indication of your quality of finishing considering not all shots are under the same circumstances... Simple concept, try using some common sense.
DzekoSucks 11 months ago
@DzekoSucks And is in not true that having more shots= more chances to find the net..
And if you assess the finishing of both players, you will find Messi converts more of the clear cut chances he gets. Messi clearly has more finesse about his finishing, becuase Ronaldo opts for power a lot more than the Argentine. As a result, that hinders Ronaldo at times.
Gfresh844 11 months ago
@Gfresh844 Messi is soo good he went to the World Cup and didn't score one single goal and cried like a girl
69salford69 11 months ago
@69salford69 Yeah, forgot about Ronaldo's wonderful tournament... One of the luckiest goals you will see against an appauling North Krea team... Clearly he lit up the tournament. As for the crying part, are you serious? What about Ronaldo sobbing against Greece, Arsenal, France, etc?
Gfresh844 11 months ago
@Gfresh844 Yeah, all Messi fans forget about Ronaldo's goal at the World Cup. They also forget Ronaldo came from obscurity, proved himself in the toughest league on Earth, dominated the whole of Europe with 42 goals in one season, winning the Champions League after knocking out Messi's fantastic Barcelona team.
Messi was given drugs and chemicals like a Frankenstein footballer, trained in the best team in Europe for 10-15 years and you think I wouldn't be as good as Messi if I had these chances
69salford69 11 months ago 23
@69salford69 I'm a united fan dude so know how important Ronaldo was for us. However, lets no get it twisted, Messi is the better player. Ronaldo is a great player, but Messi is a class apart. Messi's dribbling ability is and his passing makes him the truly special player.
Gfresh844 11 months ago
@69salford69 In regards of the Barca game, that was down to scholes brillliant strike. Ronaldo has always struggled against the catalans. When he and Messi have gone head to head it's the Argentine who has shined. As for the drugs, they were growth hormones. They do not make you a great footballer. Messi's ability is all natural. That's obvious, To say you would be as good as Messi if you had taken them is just laughable. Just hope that comment is purely sarcastic.
Gfresh844 11 months ago
@Gfresh844 Yeah I was joking I wouldn't be as good as Messi........I would be better :P
After you read my comment just click these blue numbers 0:15 and just watch and listen..."...stunning header! Cech doesn't move. It's beyond him in a flash. Stunning header."
"He's the top scorer in pretty much everything, including this Champions League, that's his 8th..."
Messi was in that Champions League and he was outscored by Ronaldo. Messi was at the World Cup and he was outscored by Ronaldo.
69salford69 11 months ago
@69salford69 Like I said, I'm a united fan. When he scored I was delighted. I was also gutted when he missed the pen in the shootout...
For the record, Messi had an injury hit season that year... Every season in which he has remained fully fit, he has been sensational... And again, lol at the world cup comment. Ronaldo was just as disappointing. infact, Messi was involved in more of Argentina's goals than Ronaldo was for his country.
Gfresh844 11 months ago
@Gfresh844 What Messi has in dribbling and passing ability, Ronaldo has in heading and long-range shooting ability. They are two different players, like Henry Vs Nisterlooy.
Messi is a result of "modern" "soft" football where small players with low centre of gravity are king. The days where Van Basten, Cantona, Zidane, Ronaldo style players who are tall and agile are gone, and now we have Xavi, Iniesta, Messi, Wilshire, Walcott, Arshavin style players who are king.
These players are soft.
69salford69 11 months ago
@69salford69 Coming from a huge admirer of Van Nistelrooy, Henry at his best was the more special player because he could do things with the ball at his feet Van Nistelrooy couldn't. That's the case with Messi and Ronaldo.
As for being soft, whilst Ronaldo has the better physique, the fact he is the one who goes to ground far more easily makes him the softer of the two. Like George Best, whilst Messi has a small frame, he has far more determination to stay on his feet.
Gfresh844 11 months ago
@Gfresh844 "he could do things with the ball at his feet Van Nistelrooy couldn't."
= More like Henry NEEDED to do things with the ball at his feet because he didn't have the goalscorers instinct that Nistelrooy had..
Messi is good at dribbling because he can't force his way through a tough tackle, because he's a little boy
69salford69 11 months ago
@69salford69 Are you for real? Henry clearly had a goalscorers instinct.. That's rather obvious. You don't have the goal ratio he did without having a natural instinct ... As for the Messi comment, again that's a silly comment. Clearly he is able to ride tackles. He does it on a regular basis...
Gfresh844 11 months ago
@Gfresh844 Messi is over-rated
69salford69 11 months ago
@Gfresh844 cr7 was injured from january that season. he had a fracture in his foot, yet still took man utd with far worse players than barca to cl and prem glory. (That is why he had surgery after euro 2008) so your comment is not true.
As for comparing portugal to argentina. with ronaldo in a team of players vastly inferior to messi's argentina, he took portugal to a euro final, a world cup semi, another euro qf and lost in the world cup to the champions in the end.
dazdadon1 11 months ago
@dazdadon1 What part of comment is not true? Please explain... And you seem to be forgetting that it was Scholes's goal that got united to the final. That was the difference maker. And whilst Ronaldo scored the goal in open play against Chelsea, it was because of other players scoring from the spot that won us the shootout. Therefore, as good as Ronaldo was, other players in the side played a crucial part..
Gfresh844 11 months ago
@dazdadon1 As for united having far worse players, that's way off. Players like Scholes, Ferdinand, Giggs, Vidic, Rooney, Tevez are some of the best around.. They are world class- so don't try and act like Ronaldo was surronded by poor players. Man Utd are one of the biggest clubs in Europe.
Again, you make it sound like Ronaldo single-handedly dragged Portugal to the final against Greece. He played well at Euro 2004, but Portugal's progression was down just as much to other players also.
Gfresh844 11 months ago
@dazdadon1 And lets not forget, he played in a side that had Deco, Figo, Rui Costa, Simao, Couto.. Hardly inferior are they.. As for the 2006 wc, he did little. One goal from the penalty spot. Not exactly a case of a player taking his team to the semi's, is it? The same goes for the last world cup. Like Messi, he was below par. One fortunate goal against an appauling north Korea side...
Gfresh844 11 months ago
@Gfresh844 When was the last time figo played well for portugal? flopped in 2 wc and 1 euro last I checked. Rui costa hardly played for portugal because of deco who was so good barcelona let him go, simao has never had a good game for portugal in a finals tournament and couto, the less said the better. Name me one decent striker portugal have had,( and dont say pauletta is good cos he isn't) player for player argentina is far superior. hell player for player england france holland are far better
dazdadon1 11 months ago
@dazdadon1 Hang on, you say all these players flopped as if Ronaldo shone? What did he do at the world cup in 2006 that was so special? What did he do in South Africa that was so great? What did he do at Euro 2008? You say Figo flopped for Portugal, so that would means Ronaldo has flopped at all these tournaments also..
Rui Costa won 94 caps. He's one of the best players they have had... As for Couto, he won 110 caps, so trying to make out he is a bad defender is just laughable.
Gfresh844 11 months ago
@Gfresh844 he took them to the semis, lost to a france team who won by a penalty, and lost out to being the young player of the tournament because of his diving and overall bad behaviour. Do you actually watch live games by any chance or just highlights? do you see xavis 90 percent passing stats and iniestas drive from midfield to create attacking situations, and eto'os clever running (now villa's) that opens up space for the barca attack which messi used to exploit?
dazdadon1 11 months ago
@dazdadon1 As is trying to make out Deco was a bad player. He was great at Porto and in his first few seasons at Barca.
Oh, and you can add Carvalho, Pepe and Raul Meireles to that list of players. As for strikers, what about Nuno Gomes? 29 goals in 77 is hardly a bad ratio at international level.Though I'd agree player for player the Argentine's are currently better, it's by no means the gulf in class you make it out to be.
Gfresh844 11 months ago
@dazdadon1 Especially given that in South Africa Maradona left out a number of good Argentina players and his tactics hardly got the best out of his side... Ronaldo fans always criticise Messi for Argentina, but if we look at the facts, Ronaldo is yet to stand out for his country...
Gfresh844 11 months ago
@Gfresh844 So, tell me, was playing cr7 as the main striker alongside almeida in the world cup against spain and brazil a good tactic? As
dazdadon1 11 months ago
@Gfresh844 As for club football, messi is playing for one of the best teams in the history of football, yet cr7 carried man utd to 3 league titles and two champions league final winning one in the process. messi doesn't carry barcelona. Ronaldinho did that before, now xavi carries the team alongside iniesta. Messi is brilliant, but he feeds of xavi and iniesta, while ronaldo carries weak teams (like Man Utd, my team) with his tremendous skill. I am a man utd fan so I know.
dazdadon1 11 months ago
@dazdadon1 Lol, Xavi and Iniesta carry Barcelona? Sorry, but how many goals have they scored for them? Messi even has more assists in the league than both put together this season... The Argentine has been their best player over the past three seasons... Xavi and Iniesta are great players, but to say he carries them is a joke.
Gfresh844 11 months ago
Gfresh844 11 months ago
@Gfresh844 Do you actually watch full games or just read stats and watch youtube highlights? watch at least 10 games of barcelona live and then tell me who is more important xavi or messi. I have been watching football live, unlike you, to have an informed opinion. As to the utd weaker team comment, tell me who has the best midfield in the premier league? up until last season, clearly chelsea, defence? clearly chelsea, strike? clearly chelsea. Ronaldo made the difference from 2nd best 2 winners
dazdadon1 11 months ago
@Gfresh844 Weak team doesn't mean crap, compare barcelona's team, and chelsea's team with utd's when utd were winning titles, hell compare even loserpool to that team and then tell me utd were stronger. A midfield that relies on fletcher, carrick, anderson scholes at 32-34 and giggs at 33-35 and an incosistant nani and park cannot compare to barca, chelsea. Put that team without ronaldo and chelsea team without drogba and barcelona without messi, barca will come top then chelsea then man utd.
dazdadon1 11 months ago
@dazdadon1I'm sorry, but a weak team does not win the premier League and the CL. To win those trophies you have to have a very good defence, a midfield that creates and good strikers. A side that has the likes of Ferdinand, Evra, Vidic, Van Der Sar, Scholes, Hargreaves (when fit) Fletcher, Giggs Rooney and Tevez is not a weak side. The likes of Scholes, Giggs, Rooney and Tevez created many chances for Ronaldo to score. Without those players creating, he would not have got all those goals.
Gfresh844 11 months ago
@dazdadon1 And Scholes and Giggs were fantastic that season- Scholes inparticular. Their ages are irelevant, given that they performed exceptionally. That's why they are still at the club. As for United not comparing to Chelsea, if that's the case, then why is it united are top of the league now- without Ronaldo? Barca may still rule the roost without Messi, but they would certainly miss his goals and creativity. Also, what about Madrid? Have they not won their recent games without Ronaldo?
Gfresh844 11 months ago
@dazdadon1 How did he take them to the semi's in 2006? He scored one goal (a penalty) against Iran all tournament... So how does that equate to him being responsible for their progression to the semi finals? He had to come off against Holland and it was Maniche's goal that beat the Netherlands.. He didn't even make the all star team- It was Ricardo, Carvalho, Maniche and Figo who made the all star team, not Ronaldo-so don't try and make out like he had a great competition, because he didn't..
Gfresh844 11 months ago
@Gfresh844 I know for sure now that you haven't watched the world cup 2006. Nobody who has seen the world cup can say such rubbish. My god you sound like a bitter messi fan. CR7's behaviour (diving and cheating) in the world cup meant that fifa took him out of the reckoning.
dazdadon1 11 months ago
@dazdadon1 Where did I say he was rubbish? I said to claim he carried the team to the semi's is pure bias. If he was as great as you claim to be, he would have scored more goals than he did and would have made the all star team. He didn't though, did he? It's the facts. You just sound completely biased trying to make out he had a great tournament. Look at the evidence please.
Gfresh844 11 months ago
@Gfresh844 I have watched and recorded every game of the world cup, you have just seen goals and assist stats. go back over the wc2006 games properly and then tell me he had a poor tournament. He was prtugal's best player v france, v england etc
dazdadon1 11 months ago
@dazdadon1 Sorry do you know me? Fyi I watched every single game. Don't say things like I have just seen the highlights because it makes you sound incredibly ignorant. I guess the people at fifa who decided the all star team got it wrong then? Sorry, but what did he do against France? Did he score- did he assist? He did a couple of good things but it ultimately led to nothing. Same against England. He scored the winning penalty, but did not make the deciding contribution in open play.
Gfresh844 11 months ago
@Gfresh844 they gave zidane the player of the tournament when he had only one great game, three poor games and two average games, and did I not mention that FIFA stated that CR7s behaviour was the reason he wasn't given the young player of the tournament? You try to quote fifa, yet you missed their comments on cr7
dazdadon1 11 months ago
@dazdadon1 Were not talking about young player though, are we... We are talking about him not even making an all star squad...
Gfresh844 11 months ago
@Gfresh844 news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/world_cup_2006/5157434.stm read this and you will understand how good ronaldo was in the tournament and why fifa did not consider him
dazdadon1 11 months ago
@dazdadon1 Stop trying to make out like he was great. He wasn't. He did not drag Portugal to the semis and that's a fact. If you want an example of a player being good at a world cup then look no further than Maradona in 86. His outstanding displays- goals and assists are that of a player who was great. How many goals did Ronaldo score again? How many assists did he create? Exactly. A player dragging a team to a certain stage is one who scores and creates, ronaldo did neither.
Gfresh844 11 months ago
@Gfresh844 Again with your bs. Everybody who has watched wc2006 had no doubt ronaldo was brilliant in it except you. Nobody else can deny it, but for some reason you are the only person in the world who thought cr7 was poor. how can anybody argue with somebody who claims to have seen a tournament which even england supporters have said he was great in, and still say he was poor because stats dont back it up. you somehow discount all buildup play which leads to assists& goals as inconsequential.
dazdadon1 11 months ago
@dazdadon1 Again, you'recompletely ignoring the facts...I said he did not drag Portugal to the semis like you claim. I've given you the evidence to show that. Why are you still ignoring that? Like I said, for a player to drag his team he has to be the one to score or create goals. Did he do that? Where was he against Holland? on't try and make out his build up play led to portugals goals because the evidence shows it didn't...
Gfresh844 11 months ago
They scored one goal in the knockout stages and he wsn't even playing. Figo had more assists than him.
Gfresh844 11 months ago
@dazdadon1 And we are talking also about him supposedly carrying portugal to the semis? Look at the facts and you will see he didn't... Like I said, he came off against holland and Maniche scored the winner... How is he responsible therefore for their progression in that game?

@dazdadon1 It was Hargreaves who got man of the match for a reason.
Gfresh844 11 months ago
@dazdadon1 Yes, infact I have watched virtually every game Barca have played, and anyone who isn't biased will tell you Messi is their best player. That is reflected in his performances and stats. Like I said, Xavi and Iniesta are great players who are immensely important to Barca, but trying to make out they are more important than Messi has been with all the goals and assists he has managed is ridiculous. It's like me saying Ozil and Alonso have been more important to Madrid than Ronaldo...
Gfresh844 11 months ago
@Gfresh844 But the fact is this. If you have played football, the midfield is the most important part of the team. Whether messi is better than ronaldo vice versa (i have never said cr7 is better than messi fyi, I believe they have a long way to go to do what ronaldinho has done), barca's midfield dictate the way they play. ozil & alonso are more important to the TEAM than cr7 is just as xavi & iniesta are more important than messi is. When ozil and alonso play good, they bring out the best....
dazdadon1 11 months ago
@dazdadon1 But that completely contradicts what you said about Ronaldo carrying united.. After all, you said he carried a weak team with a weak midfield- who in actual fact created many of his chances and now you say the midfield is the most important component in a side.. You can't say one thing then do a u turn...
Gfresh844 11 months ago
@Gfresh844 That is why I said he CARRIED them. against the weak teams cr7 was on fire and against the best teams he didn't perform or have you forgotten cr7's biggest criticism, that he doesn't turn up in the big games?
dazdadon1 11 months ago
@dazdadon1 Ronaldo didn't perform against the best teams? Did he not score against Liverpool, Arsenal and Chelsea in the champions league final??
Gfresh844 11 months ago
@Gfresh844 When man utd's midfield had a spell of domination cr7 has scored. see cl final, first half man utd midfield played brilliant cr7 was brilliat. second half cr7 was nowhere. Against barca, first 10 minutes ronaldo immense, as soon as iniesta created eto'os goal and xavi took over the midfield, cr7 disappeared. Same has happened to messi, same has happened to ronaldinho etc.
dazdadon1 11 months ago
@dazdadon1 So, if that's the case, why are you contradicting yourself by firstly saying he carried united and now saying it's down to the midfield- it makes no sense. It's quite obvious that for Ronaldo to even perform against the lesser teams, united's midfield had to be better than the opposing side, because as you said, he would not see as much of the ball otherwise..
Gfresh844 11 months ago
@Gfresh844 I don't see the contradiction, I never compared utd's midfield to stoke or brighton and hove albion. I have compared it to the elite teams, barca and chelsea at that time. The utd midfield was poor compared to them, thats why they hardly had a good result against them. Had essien not played at rightback for chelsea in the cl2009 final utd would not have dominated for so long in midfield like they didn't in the league when chelsea's full strength midfiel played
dazdadon1 11 months ago
@dazdadon1 And like I said, who is it who is top of the league without Ronaldo? It's not Chelsea is it? Even with Ronaldo did we not beat Barcelona thanks to Scholes goal? Did we not win the league- beting Chelsea? To quote what you said "midfield is the most important part to a team" so by your logic united's was better than both because they beat Barca and Chelsea that season and remain top now...
Gfresh844 11 months ago
@Gfresh844 thats a stupid comment. did you see the semis? utd were lucky to get a result, barca had at least 65% of territory. united were hanging on. United were overpowered in midfield so they overloaded the defence. 10 players defending a goal is obviously going to be better than three people in midfield
dazdadon1 11 months ago
@dazdadon1 Sorry, but did united not win the game though.. The fact is Barca did not score in both games and despite heavy pressure in the game at Ot, actually didn't create many clear cut chances...
Gfresh844 11 months ago
@dazdadon1 And you're still ignoring my Chelsea point...
Gfresh844 11 months ago
@Gfresh844 Chelsea had essien play rightback most of the season. if your best midfielder is is unable to help the midfield because he is a playing at rightback, what do you think will happen.

in ronaldo and he becomes unstoppable, when they play bad cr7 plays bad because he can't get the ball. same with messi, whenever xavi has been stopped (inter milan or chelsea games) messi has not performed. Messi may be their best player technically , but not the most important player. You would know this if you have played football to a decent level like I have. You like other fans see messi score many goals and attribute it all to him (like cr7 fans with him), you never give his team credit.
dazdadon1 11 months ago
@dazdadon1 Clearly Messi is their best player. If you took Xavi or Iniesta out of the team Barca would bring in someone like Kieta- as they've done many times and would still win. What matters most in football is goals and that's something both Xavi and Iniesta do not get often enough for either to be considered the most important player to the Barca side.
Gfresh844 11 months ago
@dazdadon1 And please don't say you would know this if you have played football to a decent level because that means nothing... It's common sense from not only playing but watching football where knowledge is gained. And, for the record, I have played football at a pretty haigh level, not that any of that is relevant when discussing this.
Gfresh844 11 months ago
@Gfresh844 you haven't. Its quite blatantly obvious, because if you have played football to a decent level, you will know how important creating space, keeping posession, and creating openings are.
dazdadon1 11 months ago
@dazdadon1 Did I not say that Xavi and Iniesta are immensely important to Barca? I did and it's quite obvious. Don't ignore what has been written as it does you no favours.. You would also know that goals in football are the most important thing. Whilst creativity is imperative, having someone who can score as consistently as Messi does is vital, especially given some of the goals he creates himself out of nothing..
Gfresh844 11 months ago
@dazdadon1 Lol, weak team. Btw, I've been supporting them since 93 so know a thing or two.... I know no one with any knowledge would dare try and make out they are a weak side.. That comment is utterly ridiculous. They were the best team in the premier league before Ronaldo came along and remain the best now.

Barcelona helped Messi because they saw his talent and as you can see now Messi gives back what Barcelona gave him
AndiSGE 9 months ago
@AndiSGE @eneskarakas Messi is one of the strongest runners on the planet.
He was given growth drugs as a child. Without these drugs he would NOT be strong enough to play the way he does.
Messi had performance-enhancing drugs and this is the reason he is so strong.
Messi is a CHEAT
69salford69 9 months ago
@69salford69
I think that it deserves respect that Barcelona gives a player the possibility to play football if he has talent. Of course they gave him so called "drugs" that he can grow up but you cannot tell me that Messi is stronger now than Ronaldo comparing their body.
AndiSGE 9 months ago
@AndiSGE The drugs had an impact on two main parts to Messi's game; strength and stamina.
Messi's main skills as a great player is dribble speed, dribble strength, finishing and stamina. So without the drugs Messi would only have dribble speed and finishing.
He could NOT play 90 minutes, he could NOT run past 8 players in one dribble and could not finish his shots with such power.
Barcelona have the greatest player EVER but he would be NOTHING without his drugs.
CHEAT.
69salford69 9 months ago 2
@69salford69
if he really is a cheat, go to fifa and tell them.

@69salford69 he was given drugs because he had a growth/ hormone problem at an early age, I would hardly call that a "Frankenstein Footballer"

Gfresh844 1 year ago
@lethal22 Since Messi has remained fit, he proved he was the best player when Ronaldo was still at united.. After all, he won world player of the year based on what he did in Ronaldo's last year at the club. Therefore, to say Ronaldo would stil be miles ahead is completely off the mark.
Gfresh844 1 year ago
@lethal22 Not to mention, that he also assists so frequently. Ronaldo is a top player, but messi is already regarded as the best footballer of his generation, and is 2 and half years younger. He can do things with the ball Ronaldo will never be able to. Ronaldo has scored some great long shots, but we see goals like that far more regularly than we do dribbling ones. To do what Messi does, in full flight, is the hardest thing in football and that's why he is seen as the best.

if that isnt the perfect example of a snap header, i dont know what is

I recall the feeling after this goal, couldn't believe ronaldo scored!!!
The second moment was VDS final save. It took me about a second to feel we won because I was so tense.
