Champions Online is going F2P around the same time as DCU release. And while DC and CO duke it out for your attention, a few months later a little known title; The Old Republic will be released. If the Blizzard juggernaut feels anyone not showing up for roll-call, it would be nominal. Anyway, asking for 15 a month for DCU is rather bold, it doesn't look to have much to offer.

I used to play Warcraft...and a superhero MMO sounds fun...but there's City of Heroes already. If anything, I'd be tempted to get Lich King and Cataclysm(sp?) and return to that game. If it was a Marvel MMO...maybe I would get that instead. I was never much a DC fan...screw Batman the jerk!

I followed DCUO for awhile, first they put in a monthly fee, which I can understand, but is it really necessary. Then they put in Micro-transactions which really pissed me off because all the snobby little kids will get their parents to buy them and destroy everyone. I'm in the DCUO Beta, and I have to say, it's pretty fun. Is it a WoW killer? No, simply because it's a different kind of MMO. Is it still worth playing? Absolutely. If you enjoyed the other Hero/Villian MMO's (CoH/CoV, etc), you'll really like DCUO.
