Neither will win. This is just a cover to take the heat off all the war crap until the current administration can finish their term. Lucky the majority of lower and middle class americans are a product of the media. The "chosen one" is already coming out of the woodworks.
If Obama gets elected as president, I really hope that good change comes to this country and he is not just another politician who just want to get into the White House and try to ruin America like Bush did. We don't need a wackjob like McCain running for president. And America's economy is screwed up as it is, high gas prices is a perfect example.
I just hope that Senator Obama is really interested in restoring the middle class in this Country and that he is not just another political opportunist leaving the people in the dust after the election is over.
I will not vote for Barack Obama, unless he chooses Hillary to be his Vice President. She has earned the right, and she actually received more of the popular vote.
Obama is a man, and perhaps a great leader, but not a savior. It's going to take time, work, patience, ingenuity and determination to get ourselves out of the deep pit we have let Bush dig us into, and it's going to take a democratically controlled Congress and probably more than one term for Obama to lead the way out of it. Give him the Democratically controlled Congress he will need and VOTE DEMOCRAT ACROSS THE BOARD!
Go Obama...... we need unity, we need change... people losing thier homes, their families, their communities, their jobs, their hopes, their dreams, their minds........ Save us......
Unity....love it....Obama and Hilary are part of the American Dream.... wathch You Tube... Living the American Dream... click on green graph on white page... pass it on...we need change......
I also agree this is a push for a united democratic party. Ultimately, it is Obama's decision as to who would do the best job in office, and that is exactly who should be VP, the best for the job. If he decides it is Clinton, good. If it is someone else I don't think that will hurt his odds, or at least shouldn't because Obama truely is the best canidate.
The Democratic Party offered us diversity in the canidates running in 2008, the faces of America were reflected. We are many but we are one people. Thank you Senator Clinton! Obama/08... we need change!
Hillary and Obama r both so kool and I'm sooooo glad that they have finally come to terms. With Hillary's support, whether she is the vp or not, we are a little bit or maybe even a lot closer to winning the white house for democrats this november. WE MUST BEAT MCCAIN!!! Vote Obama!!!
Obama/Clinton ticket is like putting Kevin Garrnett, Ray Allen, and Paul Pierce together. Thats a gurantee winner. Obama and Hillary look very comfortable around each other. Just look at their body positions and body langauge. I bet if they would be President and VP, they would be cracking jokes on each other every day. But on a serious tip an Obama/Clinton ticket would be the best for America. Her strength with healthcare and women, his strength with diplomacy and innovation. Obama/Clinton 2008
Iam voting Republican because I want my daughters to sell themselves for high gas, food, and everyday living expenses. When my co-workers go to porn sites my daughters on there because its a job, and inflation has skyrocketed and jobs are nowhere to be found b/c of outsourcing.
If clinton becomes obama's vp then mccain so watch out. Still it is such a pity that clinton still fought even though most of the sd's pledged to obama. However, my prediction will be that obama will not win. I feel that clinton and obama will not get along. Clinton is just hungry for power!
Barack Obama wants to wants to win if he see's Hillary Clinton as the key to victory we ought to put our grievances aside and support his decision. I'll be honest at first i was opposed to the idea of Hillary on the ticket, but now i'm incline to the idea. I for one want to a President Barack H. Obama January 2009.
I would be honored to have you as a President. You made some good points in the section of Education, and i have no doubt in my mind, that you will make a good President!
Just waiting for Hillary to be named VP, then I will feel more confident about Barak's intellectualism to get tempered with experience and reality and the DEMS will move this country forward!!
Baracks intellect has nothing to do with his appointing Hillary as VP. He has ran a highly effective campaign and he has one the nomination! Hillary supports him and his nomination. It's time for her supporters to follow suit and support Barack. We need a unified democratic party
The only negative about Sen. Clinton that gives me pause is her husband. If he could quit pouting and TRULY stand behind his wife's magnanimity, I would lose the aforementioned hesitance.
In any case, we as a nation MUST keep McNeoCain out of the White House.
Obama is pro death penalty (against supreme court ruling in Kennedy v. Louisiana) and anti gun regulation (for supreme court ruling in District of Columbia vs. Heller).
Why do liberals support him when he does not represent their preferences on issues?
I like Wesley Clark, but I believe he made a poor mistake to attack McCain's military service. Obama is not about attacking people's personal qualities. I believe that Clinton who helped her husband during his Presidency has Economic experience. I was originally against the idea of an Obama/Clinton ticket, but I think they both have style differences that will benefit each other.
Mark my words...Hillary will be on the ticket! I am an Obama supporter who believes that Hillary's positives outweigh her negatives. America loves to witness unlikely events! Make it happen Barack!
At first I thought Obama and Hillary ticket would be bad. I was basically thinking the same thing Jimmy Carter addressed, but the Democratic Party is deeply divided right now.
Obama/Hillary would destroy the McCains campaign.
I bet you Hillary is loving the crowd during her speech!!
Its not like obama crawled out of a cave cryin for change- he has a record that backs up his convictions and promises. Sure, Mccain was a war prisoner, so what? Getting roughed up overseas makes him the prime presidential candidate? Voting for mccain is voting for Bush. F that.
im suprised that McCain even has his base of voters. He's obviously a supporter of the policies that bush agree with, why are so many people still willing to vote for someone who is a friend of a complete douche bag? Do people not learn? Mccain supporters argue that Obama does not have enough experience. Well, Bush has served for two terms-He has more experience than both candidates COMBINED. It really says alot about how much "experience" matters.=
Her speech was perfect, and His speech was perfect for Unity, & their future rallies will be even more enthusiastic! As a team they will bring about the change America needs!!!
I didn't think so before, but after seeing them together I'm all for the Dream ticket. Obama/Clinton for the unstoppable win uniting both wings of democratic party.

And now the American people will have to decide on the better leader between the two competitors left in this democratic American game that we all admire. Let the freedom ring. A girl I know said she was voting for McCain since Hillary didn't win... I told her she clearly wasn't voting as a Democrat then, but as a feminist. McCain has nothing to offer Hillary supporters who care about issues.
Also, all of the republicans I know, some life-long, are voting Obama this fall. Bush really messed up his own party.
I agree that McCain has nothing to offer Hillary supporters on any meaningful issue. Moving from Hillary to McCain definitely means that you are not voting on any real issue. I disagree though that she is voting "as a feminist" Is McCain more of a feminist than Obama? Certainly not. People who would switch to McCain are either voting out of spite after a bitter primary, or they are voting for him only because they want to vote against Obama out of either overt racism or secretive racism.
How untrue. I was a Hillary supporter. I have always liked McCain. Will vote for McCain. I challange you to call me bitter. I am not. I challange you to cal me racist. I am not. I prefer freedom of thought an independence. Wake up your mind and stop being so close minded.
You prefer freedom of thought and independence? McCain wants to eliminate net neutrality. Thats not freedom, thats restriction and its only going to favor the ISPs (aka the big companies)
You just don't make any sense. It's an frigin paradox to say you're a Hillary supporter who's voting for McCain. That means you're not voting for the right reasons. It should be about the issues and the vision for this country. McCain and Hillary are polar opposites on issues and vision. How do you explain that?
Obama/Hillary ticket would be unstoppable combined with Edwards as the Attorney General and Gore as head of the Environmental Protection Agency or other important position - this would truly be unity for change....
If you don't step up and put a stop to the FISA bill Obama I will not vote for you in November. I already stopped my monthly contributions to your campaign when you came out in support of the FISA bill.
A Yes vote on the bill will lose my vote for you in November.
Great Job my friends. Great job! Dreams do come true. As a country we need to unite. Over the past few years we have been separated by our views, political opinions and way of life. I love this country.
Great speeches! I would have liked to see Hillary be President, but I am very proud of her dignity and strong will and dedication and stamina that she has. Seeing these two run for Presidency and to be leaders of our country makes me proud to be an American. Lets help them help us to be united.
Wow, when did Hillary get a sense of humor? Good on ya Hillary! I was against it originally, but I think Obama/Clinton would wipe the floor with McStiff and whoever he picks for VP.
maybe they CAN do this..had my doubts about her and still do.. but there;s always hope..now if we can just get those pesky anti-Obama/Diehard Hillary fans on board we'll be all good!
She'd make a good vice president. I don't care really, as long as the white house is free of George Bush and his right-wing nutjob conservative posse.
I was there. It was amazing when people were chanting "Obama" and Barack led them in a chant of "Hillary" instead. The guy is so empathetic and tone-perfect. He's just gets it. This is the next American President.
I am tired of hearing about the number of votes Hillery has gotten. The focus should now be on the Democratic candidate. I am also opposed to someone other than the Clinton presidential campaign paying off Hillery's campaign debt. Spending beyond ones resources or depending on someone else to pay ones bills does not reflect well on ones judgement.
i wonder how many people took the day off to be there(i know i would've!).. but i always wondered why do they make these big rallies during the day when we are all at work...
It is sad that the media, national and cable tv had dissected this event to its smallest structure trying to analyze their body language, the way they laugh and smile, putting in a lot of hours on trying to see if they really meant what they are saying, where is Bill?, does he need her? etc. If this is what had become of our media, my TV is off. While Americans suffer everywhere - we should be on a crisis mode, talking about issues and the crises that confront us and means to tackle them.
I am a Hillary support that has been brandishing a Clinton/Obama bumper sticker for the past 6 months. It would be great if they could run together as Obama/Clinton, but I will also be glad to have Hillary continue as my senator.
Thank you for finally UNITING the American people! Although I'm an Independent who has voted for both Democrats and Republicans in past elections, I've lived to regret pulling the lever for a Republican! So this coming November I will be voting for the Democratic Party [Barack Obama] all the way.
The UNITY Rally was perfect. Both speeches were perfect and just what America needed to hope for real CHANGE. I give it a Thumbs up to the Max. America needs to go down a new and better road! (not just more of the same old thing that has gotten us worse off). PCTuneman.
I agree, it sounds as if he is going to choose Hillary for his running mate, Many of my friends who supported HIllary say that this will win him their vote
It's easy to be cynical. It is difficult these days to stay hopeful and upbeat about our leaders and our future. These two brilliant and committed Senators make me believe that real change and real unity are possible.
I was against Obama/Hillary during the primaries because it got quite heated at times, but I am starting to come around to the idea and honestly wouldn't mind it now.
They went at each other pretty hard a few times, but when you actually look at the issues (and possible supreme court ramifications) it isn't difficult math to see that we should all be united.
You know, I was against Obama/Hillary during the primaries, but I am really starting to come around to the idea.
Yeah they both did some shitty things during the primary (mostly their aides to be honest), but it was a primary after all, and I agree with everything they both said in this event.
There is hope for our Country! Thank you Hillary & Obama! Hillary, pure class in your speech. We have a clear choice for our future, let us not BLOW it.
What Hillary said has needed to have been said for seven and a half years. Why did so many of us know what a tragic mistake the Bush selection was from the minute he was "plopped" in the Oval Office chair? And no one did anything about it. I guess that's how money and power work, huh? I pray these two can turn the abomination that has been done around. Thank you Hillary and Barrack. Please choose Hillary as your running mate.
The Dems needs the Clintons. First they wanted Pres. Clinton to go away. Now they want to know where he is. Why? Because they need him. He was a great president; The Clintons are smart. This country needs them. I'm hoping
Obama picks Hillary for his VP. She will help him considerably.
This is Democracy, Respect, Love for our country & Class. America deserve finally to kick-out Republicans from the White House that they got it lying in the last two elections. Republicans should be ashame and reflect after this failure they have with Mr Bush and his associates. The have been the worst ever party in power in USA history!
Wonderful speeches given by both Obama and Clinton...I'm so very happy they have joined forces...we so desperately need change in American. We simply can't have another Bush term. Thank you Hillary for coming aboard and fight for change with Obama!!! Let's go out and win our Country back!!!!
I love Hillary. She has so many wonderful qualities. She is brilliant, as excellent speaker, is charismatic, is diplomatic, is genuine and very compassionate. I can't say enough of how much I respect Hillary. I do hope Barach chooses her to be his runing mate.
Californians are really anticipating an Obama/Clinton ticket. Many of my friends, family and colleagues are considering McCain....C'mon Obama....you need California!
They are exactly what we ALL need!! I am sooo pumped up! Spread the word, put signs up on your steet, we need 2 do anything and everything we can to get Obama elected!! Obama-Clinton would be great!!
Consider - at least think creatively about - a non-traditional (non-Cabinet, possibly not White House staff) role for Hillary and, possibly, Bill, in addressing future national concerns... so they (concerns), come to fruition as opportunities rather than problems. What a concept. Obama 2008!
Wonderful and heartfelt speeches by both Senators. A tear came out of my eye by the 14th minute of this video. Can you John Lennon (imagine) a double history event if Obama became the President and Hillary became the Vice President? The best was when Hillary spoke about the 2 sides of a coin. :) Miss Lisa
I'm not sure if the parties are giving us any peoples candidate to vote for, but I do THINK we just saw a lot of money change hands. One thing I'm certain of, We can do way, way, way better than Bush's Oil BS. It seems as though the wealthy of this country have forsaken it. Benadict Arnolds, all of them.
I really hope for America's sake they do something about your nation's health care. Imagine if the money spent on Iraq had been put into health and welfare.
obama makes good on the "anywhere, anytime" pledge, I dont trust him. It's just scary that his handlers have no confidence that he can handle an "unscripted" townhall meeting. The other guy invites him every week and he declines? This is America and Americas people he's ignoring! I love his speeches but anytime else, he hesitates every other word to check himself. I want to here unfettered talk from him or he's not getting my vote.
You'd think America is at a Civil War with itself. If Unity means one side vs the other lets go! Otherwise I'm skipping the vote for the first itme in my life. I want no part of it!
What a great team they are! I love Hillary. She is so genuine, intelligent, charismatic, gracious,diplomatic...I can't say enough about her excellent qualities. I do hope Obama willl choose her as his running mate!
Obama and whoever he decides to choose. I hope he doesn't allow anyone to bully him into selecting Hillary. Every other candidate has gotten to choose and so should he.
A very poignant example of all that is right in this country. Wistfully, I ponder what we will miss by not having Hillary as president, not because I don't like and admire Obama. I do, but because her special gifts of leadership will not have the chance to be realized as president. She is brilliant. Obama is gallant, bold, and a visionary. He will be a wonderful president. Onward and upward. Go Democrats!
hillary only hurts obama, just like her and bill have done to all of us.

Great speeches! I would have liked to see Hillary be President, but I am very proud of her dignity and strong will and dedication and stamina that she has. Seeing these two run for Presidency and to be leaders of our country makes me proud to be an American. Lets help them help us to be united.

Wonderful speeches Hillary and Obama!!

PCTuneman.

Great! But untill
obama makes good on the "anywhere, anytime" pledge, I dont trust him.
