@lostgrl06 I think Rifqa's problem is, she was scared fo being a Musilim in a Xtian socitety. She wanted to fit in with her Xtian friends, became a self hating Muslim, denounced Islam, so she could fit in with her Xtian friends.

yep, i agree. I mean it happens everywhere with the muslim youth, which is why our muslim organizations in the U.s. is always holding confrences and stuff for us--so that we understand and love our religion, and know that there can be an equal balance between religion and fun.

Ohio does not provide for the emancipation of under 18 year olds. But, I think Florida does. Regardless though, the ultimate deciding factor in this entire case will be Jesus and what has already been predestined for Rifqa, by Jesus.

She wouldn't be protected by US laws which are more conducive to the freedom of religion. Also, there are still many Muslims there, and they could very easily put her to death since they wouldn't hold the same sentiments as her parents or those in the US. It's best she stays here in the states. Her witness for the Gospel is probably more widespread here also.

mate this is not india, this is sri lanka. if you look at any indian protest the police comes and beats them to break it up. so you think just because we look like the indians. sri lanka is like india. if you look at any sri lankan protest the riot police have stricit orders to not hit anyone, if they are a threat to you the you arrest them.

colombo is one of the most develped cities. in mumbai you have over 60% living in slums. in sri lanka there are no slums. poor people have a decent house

you know the hijab? that scaff the muslims wear? thats banned in sri lanka for all children under 18. no ones allowed to wear to any school. after 18 you can wear it on own free will, but no one can force, like ur husband. if they do all u need to do is report it, and ur husband will be arrested. there a Laws and regulation in this country to protect its citizen. far more effective that american laws. this is'nt pakistan or india that u see on news of people being hungry and not having food.

what makes you think she will be safe america? sri lanka presdient/ govt has executive powers over child protection. so your children can you be taken away if there is suspiction from the child/ another family member, neighbour etc that child is not protected or is not been givin an eduction. sri lanka literacy rates are over 97% as opossed to india's of below 40%
