  • uuuuummmmm.......#1 PERSEPHONE is the pomegranate girl, NOT Aphrodite, last i checked. #2 was this music made for the commercial or is it a song? its beautiful!

  • what her name

  • FACT CHECKER ALERT, PLS: Is it possible the advertisers have confused their POMegranate Greek Mythology connection ? Is it not Persephone who was stained with POMegranate seeds? Not Aphrodite?

  • @hamletandme Oh my god It was!!! In almost all the greek pictures it shows Persephone holding either a half eaten pomegranate or seeds!

  • @hamletandme you are correct. Persephone was the daughter of Ceres (im pretty sure it was Ceres), Hades fell in love with Persephone, so he kidnapped her. Hades was forced to return Persephone, but tricked her into eating some pomegranate seeds. because she accepted his hospitality by eating (she hadnt eaten anything before while there) she was forced to return to the underworld for 6 months of the year, which is the "reason" for autumn and winter because Ceres is mourning being away from her.

  • whats this song??

  • Hail Aphrodite!!!

  • People don't understand that in Greek mythology the Pomegranate was the food of the dead. If you ate it in the Underworld your stuck down there.

  • @PriestChristopher

Actually your way wrong. There were 3 counts of humans who wend down into the Underworld. Orpheus, who's music was so soothing that it wooed Gaia into opening a new passage to the underworld. Heracles who went down to retrieve Cerberus and Theseus who went down to help a friend and got stuck down there for at least 20 years.

  • @GirlsBravoFan21 Herakles and Theseus were demi-Gods, meaning half human and half God. Theseus was the son of Poseidon and Herakles the son of Zeus. Orpheus was also the son of Calliope, the Muse of Epic Poetry, who is also a divine being. So no, a full blooded mortal could not enter the underworld. Not to sound arrogant, but I am a Priest of the Hellenic Gods. Don't tell me what my religion says.

  • @PriestChristopher Dude i'm a hellenist as well and you never excluded demigods from that since they are half human and thus fit into the category you never said full blooded mortals.

  • @GirlsBravoFan21 I said that humans could not enter the underworld alive. Demi-Gods are not humans, they are only half human, therefore not human but divine.

  • Aphrodite was greek, so chances are she was a brunette, not blonde.

  • @Crimson811 Dude they weren't trying to say the girl was Aphrodite. They were just reciting the myth.

  • @GirlsBravoFan21 Watch POM Wonderful's new TV commercial featuring actress Helena Mattsson as Aphrodite ... Read the description dumbass.

  • @Crimson811 Aphrodite can appear in any form she chooses.

  • I came here because I watched the greatest movie ever sold. In fact, I heard of POM only because I watched this movie. Appreciate that.

  • @lltrf You dont understand. Pomegranates will make you invulnerable in combat. Healthy and virile in sex. Charming and charismatic in business affairs. Pomegranates are the gift of the Ancients unto us lowly cretins to experience but a fragment of their perfection for but a moment of our life span.

  • she is beautiful, i wish i had her hair :)

  • Hanana Montana look alike

  • Obviously the gods have suck ass taste...

  • Here in NC that 16oz bottle is 4 dollars, but my god it is worth it, i've been drinking it for 3 weeks and im really happy of how good my body n mood feels

  • This chick looks a little like Isabel lucas... they've both got that skinny, pretty... alien-esque... thing going

  • She looks EXACTLY like someone I once knew... That's so creepy

  • Yes but Aphrodite would not look like a generic caucasian chick. She probably had a nice big nose and curly hair :)

  • I love the music, if anyone knows any info about it, let me know.

  • is that gina davis? lol

  • if they gave me this chick for a night id buy truckloads of POM every day

  • cyprus.my homeland.the island of aphrodite.:)

  • @Distractions88 Yes it is...she's goddamn hot!

  • wtf pom isnt even that good please stop objectifying women, its horribly offensive

  • since when was aphrodite white?

  • These spots are visually arresting and poetically beautiful. Congratulations to the creative team on a great job for a great product.

  • GO CYPRUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LOVE IT

  • sounds like malcolm mcdowell is doing the voiceover

  • The new POM campaign was a major undertaking. To finally see them aired is truly amazing. I've done various commercial directions in the past. Humor for example is always fun, but there's something nice about doing spots that touches people on a visually emotional level. There's a lot that has to come together. The director. The performance. The weather. Heck, the planets have to align. But when they do, it just makes me thankful I was able to be a participant in the process.

  • The music sounds like Epona's song from Zelda.

  • @JackSpicer2311 lol, a little bit :-)

  • I <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 this commercial. It's soo artistic, & the music is amazing.

  • Pomegranate juice; immune to gray-scale.

  • OH MY GOD... could the art direction be any less impactful?... what a snorefest just to watch... could the transition from the story copy to the sell copy be any more forced and clunky... that's lynda resnick for you... too scared to let the concept of the commercial sell the product, no she has to force feed the audience with radio copy just to be sure... i hated the voice over guy... didn't fit the period at all...

  • this would be cooler if they could actually cite the mythology they talk about. Otherwise they, just look like they don't know the actual mythical appearance of pomegranates.

  • @rasz39 Well, if you know anything about food or science then you would know that pomegranates are chalk full of antioxidants, hense the latest craze. To shorten this post, an antioxidant can help protect the lining of blood vessels which allow more blood to flow into/through them. Now, hopefully if you learned anything about the male or female genitalia while in middle school education class, then i wont have to explain how increased blood flow is going to benefit you sexually. ;)

  • @ahhmunduh yea too bad that the FTC filed a complaint against POM for deceptive advertising. Notice how this advertisement cites legend rather than scientific evidence?

  • @ahhmunduh not necessarily, there are many things that will increase blood flow. Doesn't mean it will get you sexually aroused.

  • @xIegionx anything that increases or promotes blood flow has the potential to stimulate you sexually. Thats actually how they discovered Viagra.

  • @ValiumandDolls Not exactly, there are numerous fruits that can stimulate blood flow. Laughing can do so too, t doesn't mean you'll be a sex machine after going to a comedy club. Viagra is also a drug that's purpose stimulates blood to the penis, it's not an entire body blood flow of circulation

  • @rasz39 Do they cite in commercials? lol .. it would be like a lowgrade PPT presenation

  • If anyone knows if the music used is from a from a song or if it was made for the ad please let me know :)

  • @VelosiaWorld if you find out the name of the song, could you please let me know? Thanks in advance!

I'll let you know too, if I figure it out first :-)

  • @VelosiaWorld it sounds similar to this song... watch?v=lS6rDs_Gu7Y

  • @1981z28camaro Yes you are right, I went through all the songs on that soundtrack and there are other parts that sound similar to this but none are the exact same, I believe that the music for this advert was inspired by James Horners - A Kaleidoscope of Mathematics, thanks for clearing that up :)

  • @VelosiaWorld I think so too, would be cool to find this particular version tho, it sounds very mythical. hence the idea of the commercial :-)

  • everytime i hear this commercial it sounds like the score from "a beautiful mind"....James Horner?

  • @VelosiaWorld

    Look up A Beautiful Mind - 01 A Kaleidoscope of Mathematics :)

  • @aalias88 lol, I JUST posted a comment on it sounding like that song, but I don't think they are the same song, similar tho :-)

  • @VelosiaWorld sounds like who is it ..michael jackson
