With professional actors, one does expect less "um" and "you know" because they are accustomed to interviews. I adore Felicia and think she's amazing, but precisely because a PBS interview is seen by so many who don't already know what a genius she is, I found myself wishing she'd trained out those verbal tics. You can teach yourself to pause silently instead, creating impact.
