  • 0:16... Come Back Horse!!

  • Love 0.11!!!

  • Eek! Sooo many falls at the water! Scary :0 (Nice editing)

  • ):

  • Man, cross country horses give so much try for their riders !

  • ooh my god! thats so cruel!!! poor horses!!! i think half of these horses hurted badly!!

  • @conne001 Are you saying XC is creul?

  • @conne001 you obviously dont event or ride horses for that matter, seriously! its not cruel you ignorant moron! this is only the falls, you dont see the smooth polished runs that some of the top eventers (William Fox-Pitt, Zara Phillips, Micheal Jung etc.) have!

  • @angelFAB60 you don't have to be angry on me! yes not all of this is cruel! i am jumping also but i dont let my horse jump over a thing whats to big for it ..like these ones.

  • I love at 0:11 wen the horse keeps jumping

  • i just feel sorry for the horses haha :)

1.24 he must have some blance to stay on :D

  • hey can i use these in a video im making? ill give u the credit?

  • LLOOOVVEEE IITTT!!! :)

  • How many people fell in the water ?!?!?!?! :D

  • poor horse at 2:12

    :'( auwtch, his legs

  • :11 Horse is like "Ok I'll just jump this last jump without you then I'm done. K?"

  • I Love this video

  • 1:06 = FAIL lol....awwwww didnt quite make it, naaa thats happened to me but my horse stayed and layed there till i got off XD

  • at 0.11 its so cool is any 1 going 2 tattersalls

  • can i use this in a video montage i'm making about what it means to be and equestrian?

I will make sure to give you full credit for it.

  • Someone loses his legs yet. Now is not no fun to play with action is a dangerous

  • ahahah i love it where the rider is running after her horse

  • May I use these clips? I will give you ful credit! :)

  • These are soooo sad to watch poor horses :(

  • the person at 1:00 is an awful rider!

  • i love how on 1:03- 1:06 the horse is about to jump it, looks over, and goes like no, i dont think ill jump this.... never mind :)

  • nice otherwise, but in 2:13 it's time to bad D:

  • i LOVE how the grey at 0:11 finishes the triple =D

  • can someone just explain how the guy fell off sideways?

  • lol at the person with 168 on her back with the grey lol

  • It just shows what risks you take when your riding at the end of the day your making that choice for you and the horse.

  • 0:40 made me LOL xD

Guys, these horses love what they are doing. It's no more dangerous than what they do in the wild, in fact, it's probably safer. Every precaution is taken to ensure these horses safety on these courses.

  • 1:44 The horse is like, "Oh, HELL no! I'm outta here!"

  • @TheNatascha13 They are hardy horses who are loved very much and they love their jobs. If an event horse was to break a leg, the owners and riders would do everything in their power to save the horse, but if it's not in the best interests of the horse's wellbeing, they will have the horse put down, not sent to slaughter. If you speak to any event rider, they are always worrying about their horses and are hardly bothered about their own health as long as their horses are ok.

  • why put this on youtube it is desturbing and depressing i nearly cried

  • i hate the bit where they all have to jump and land in the water, looks so dangerous :'( nearly all of them fell in and the horse!!

  • Some of these made me cringe, but I laughed pretty hard at 1:04. Horse runs up to the fence, looks over it, and is like "Oh HELL no." And scampers off. xD

  • My friends do this and they got a dunking. It's not that scary you just have to know how to fall and what to do. My horse loves it and did intermediate events so they obviously do enjoy it :)

  • At 2:13 omg was that horse ok?!

  • @Fr3ya1996Babii33

OMG!! poor thing that would of at least had cuts, coz it looked like a rocky concrete thinggy?

    Poor horsey :(

  • could i use the fall at 0:10 for my 'so you think riding is easy' video i will give you credit by having your You Tube name run along your video as it is playing and your you tube name on the end credits.

  • i love the video looking at the horses neck... how did you manage that!?

  • hahaha when she just runs down the hill after her horse, that makes me lauuugh!

  • Ioved the helmet cam!

  • this vid is great love the editing at 1:15 well done

  • I luv how @ :09 she kind just jops off lol but it waznt the horses fault cuz he just kept goin :)

  • wow, i feel sorry for the horses to be honest. I'm a were they have been trained etc but that can't be fun for them or there riders, that shit looks scarey

  • may i please use some of these clips for a video i'm making? i'll send a link back to you :)

  • 2:14 Horsey did he hurt hes legs??

  • dat water is fokking gevaarlijk !!

  • I love your video. And the part from 2:05-2:16 really hurts...=)

  • its sad at 2:13 !

  • No offense to those of you that do cross country but it looks Soo freakin horrible and dangerous, I would never put my horse through that! If I were to learn English it soooooo wouldn't be this!

  • @TwoPrimas ..like, I'm going to try to be chill about this but I'm sorry If this comes off as rude..Im really a nice person..Please don't judge xcountry if you havent tried it. also this video's title is eventing falls, hence its not gonna look pretty. Also if this sport was awful for horses there wouldnt be nearly as many equestrians participating in it. Plus I could find a barrel racing or whatever you do video that shows riders and horses getting hurt in it. So please don't just assume things

  • @TwoPrimas like livelaughlove79318 said, this video's title is called eventing FALLS. accidents happen all the time, no matter what kind of riding you do. i ride western and english (although i've been riding western longer), and let me say, the dangers are pretty much equal for both. barrel racing and pole bending? not a whole lot safer than jumping or cross country.

  • May I have your permission to use this video in my videos?

  • Horses falls in water to

  • LOl, every rider miss up those logs obstacles...

  • woah, looks like that one watch ditch got everyone!

  • haha, I like the one with the white horse, how it just keeps going over that last jump and then just keeps going. Time for that girl to train her horse to stop when there isn't any weight on its back. lol

  • 1:26 hahahahha He's like mehehhehehehhe MY REINS!! hahahha

  • i love how the grey jumps the last jump and then continues on nicely like he wants to finish :p

  • I love how like all the horses get water up there noises and are like " Uggg water!!" *Snort snort* lol And the one where the horse scrapes his legs on the wall is SAD! :(

  • I love how like all the horses get water up there noises and are like " Uggg water!!" *Snort snort* lol

  • 1:58 is horrible :(

  • ahhh these peeps are EVIL!!! v they whip these horses like crazy!

  • @Chestnutluvr4evr the whip doesnt hurt the horse just makes a noise that they react to! so no worries

  • yeh true :)

  • I had a fall once and it was with my horse in Holland. It wasn't nice... Especially, it was mine and his first CIC2** competition... But, for me, to promote eventing (especially where I live, Poland) shouldn't be shown falls, because, of course, we're eventing freaks, but not everybody will understand this discipline...

    But, nevertheless it's a nice video ;)

  • LOVE IT WHEN THE RIDER FALLS AND THE HORSE RUNS OFF AND JUMPS WITH OUT HIM!!!!!!!! SO FUNNY!!!!! :)

  • y do CX riders always pull on the rein so much? CX looks rly fun, but i would not want to fall, or have my horse fall! i would be rly sad if my horse fell....i hate it wen they fall....awesome video!!!

  • @XOXOHorses98 because when they go over those jumps there going at a gallop and there not pulling it just looks like it but there really just trying to slow the freak down

  • @aridxxluv o, ok, thx for explaining, lol!

  • 1:10 I DID THAT TO! i laughed though when i got up hehe!

  • im not a big fan of cross country it looks like a fun sport but i would be to worried about my horse legs breaking or getting really injured aye

  • @TheBirdyflyaway its actualy not that common for horse to be breaking legs but at that level there is more of a risk but from and grade 2 below theres less of a chance cause there smaller jumps and you dont have to go as fast

  • I absoloutley love the video's from riders perspective - like your actually riding over those fences :) There was some serious skills from some of the riders, lack of skills from others, and a whole bunch of very talented horses (and i hope they're all ok after a few of those falls...) :)

  • LOL @ 0:18

  • is that that Matt guy and "If" at 0:32? x

  • wow, the guy from 1:26- 1:33 has a great recovery :L

  • wow idk but idk if they shopwed it in this video but some riders hold the reins when they fally off my horse riding instucter told me not to do that when i fall or when the horse gets spooked

  • i was pretty impressed that one rider through the water jump, idk how he stayed on

  • Wow i bet some of those horses are pretty badly injured from thorse falls and hitting their legs on tyhe poles!

  • Hopefully all the horses were ok >>?? becasue i dislike videos with sad endings

  • I'm making a video, do you mind if I use some of your clips? I'll give you full credit for them! :)

  • ths sooo kwl wow there r sum ace rider there to stay on :0 where did you get these clips

  • Hate the part whit the wall!

But love the part where the girl runs after her horse "Og there gos my horse"

    But som of the falls is really painfull, for the horse and rideres /;

  • Omg this is awful!

See the horses, they have pain!

  • do you know where to get a hat cam?? love the vid by the way :D

  • Can i use these clips for a video? i will give you full credit in the credits and in the discription. i will also subscibe?

  • omg i mean horse (little wrong there)

  • like that hore who jumps without his/her rider :D

  • ow, poor horse right on the brick with those hind legs

  • this is not funny!

  • @Himolly12:

i totally agree! those are excellent skills!

  • haha, funny!

  • tbh i dont think these riders have been given enough credit, they have all been caught at the bad moments in time and some have recoverd when others wouldnt have been able to. This is a tough sport, and a very gutsy one to, so of course some of the riders dont look their best, and the aim is to look ugly but get the job done ..... Ace clips !!! lol

  • 1:29 to 1:34 was just excellent skills on the rider behalf, not many people could havve mamaged that :)

  • @Himolly12 Pure Skill.

  • @Himolly12 ...and a well trained forgiving horse :-)

  • 1.39 !!!!!! :ooo

  • a really well put together vid =] was awesome !!! if you wouldnt mind , could you check out my horsey vids? thanksss xx i faved this vid xD

  • haha love 0:12 riderless jumping :P

  • so intense omg D:

  • y do peeps keep sayin thet dont care biut the rider sheeeshh i kno my horse would freak out if u wuz hurt so damage to the rider duz damage to the horse too think about tht huh

  • @JumpinSuperPony yeah i wld agree my horse wld get upset tho it does depend some ppl its basicly self inflicted just care bwt wining at ne expence including the horses hapynes then id say they desrve it

  • That one rider was yanking on hs horse's mouth. What a shitty rider at 1:35 or thereabouts.

  • they cnt even ride :S

  • good gosh at 1:29, nice reovery and bold horse. this vieo is intense

  • the grey from 0:11 on

wow that rider doesnt deserve that horse and shouldnt be riding this level

  • Serious question. Why are the reins so long at 1.27? Did they genuanlly slip or is there a reason? (Never ridden a cross country course so really have no idea).

    Thanks

  • riders usually let their reigns slip on large drops to give the horse their neck to gain more balance and to keep themselves from impeding their horse. its common no worries, though its not so common you just go running off with them still long.

  • Oh alrite. . I don't have any experience on a country course so thank you very much.

  • @Max1mum0R1d3 Well some times higher level like 1* throgh 4**** they usually do that to give the horse more slack when jumping banks!!

  • Thanks. I did think this but I'm still ropey with how to ride a cross country course, so any pointers I can get are great.

  • get vid XP XD

  • Thank you ozzy for making these great videos wiv amazing music to top it all off! I hav sevrel vids aswell on you tube off me jumping on foot!

  • The worst is, I think they are still angry at their horse! :o

  • Hey, i really love your video !!! im Jw if i could use some of these clips for one of my contest vids.... i will give u full credit in describition if u let me use ....

  • "oh there goes my horse...."

    LOL

  • poor horses :(( :D

  • I understand the enjoyment in eventing and the competition as i do it myself but if multiple horses stumble on the same jump badly ie the water jump, something has to be wrong.

  • I don't like cross !!

    (I'm french)...

  • every time i see these kind of videos i get so worried for the horses like i could give two shits if the people died i just care about the poor horses flipping upside down and banging their legs into stuff.

  • The US is the only country that still runs the long format. Every other country has fully converted. The LF forced people to be prepared, they had to qualify in order to move up to the next level, and could only compete so many times a year. Eventing is a lovely sport, when taught correctly. They need to enforce more regulations and qualifications on riders. Too many unprepared riders are competing and no one is telling them not to. Safety has now become last on the list since the change.

  • Cross Country in its self is dangerous. But PEOPLE (mostly the Olympic and FEI) have made it deadly. When a fall or death occurs, 90% of the time it is rider error, not horse. Since they cut out the long format, more riders are attempting the upper levels without being fully prepared and buy horses they cant ride. If a rider hesitates for a split second you could flip. Horses arent being trained to think for themselves. That will be the downfall. Rider errors were clear in those clips, its sad.

  • nice video!

  • hey, i know wot u mean about the injuries, my name does say mechanic but i also have my own horse and used to compete in 3 day eventing, there is a safer sport you can do which is called 'Jump x' and new courses are popping up all over the UK, not sure if they are outside UK sorry. But it's where the jumps are like show jumping but spread out on a cross country course. Me and my horse took a fall there and the whole jump including the wings fell over, it's nice to know ur safe!!

  • awesome! I love the head view!!

  • hiyaaaa,

    love the videooo :D

i was just wondering where you get your clips from?

  • less wrecks please I dont like to see riders and horses on their heads for no reason when it could be safer and still be fun and interesting. I feel the sport could be so much better!

  • i dont understand the drive to compete past adrenaline since you know your going to get hurt. You are all extremly brave or stupid. No disrespect. If im wrong enlighten me, I'd like to know why you love this sport because I don't see the point. They could make those courses safer with perhaps higher jumps instead of objects like boats. and maybe if it was easier course but more about speed then you could strive to have a faster horse, or a horse that can jump higher, make it smarter and safer!

  • What you know as eventing now is called the Short Format. Way back when, the "cross country" phase consisted of 5parts (short roads & tracks, steeple chase, Long R&Ts, cross country and a 1 1/4 mile run). The courses were longer, with the jumps being roughly the same, and rarely any deaths. The Olympic and FEI forced them to make it shorter. Hence, shorter course; more difficult questions and allowing of inexperienced riders. They wanted it to take up less time and space and be more thrilling.

  • In most sports you fall when your learning or when the horse or rider is inexperianced and that means your not very good and need to practice so you wont get hurt, and you can impress people without getting hurt. It seems like with C.C. people are most impressed with wether you make the course without falling and who has the best fall, or the excitement of seeing people get hurt and fall. Its all for the adrenaline rush isnt it?

  • ok all equine sports have injuries dah. Why ru comparing C.C to wars? MOST people are wiser these days I should hope some have common sense. Im not critizing jumping, just the dangerous courses of cross country nowadays, jumping boats and windmills. when is enough enough? Its no longer about skill or training, its a test to see which horse and rider survive the course its like watching jackass or something. Im not trying to be mean but hey, seriously people.

  • Woah, Those water jumps looked sore!

  • the rider at 0:56 is aweful! yikes! go back to cross rails buddy!

  • 2:14, ouch! I feel sorry for that horse!

But that was a really nicely put together and well made video, congrats :)

  • thats my point, its sad that they willingly will do what ever their rider asks, even when put in danger.

  • Comment removed

  • no its not...

we dont MAKE them do it, if they didn't want to do it, they woulden't

  • I agree they love it... I have a quarter horse who should love chasing cattle, and she clearly prefers to jump... they have to like what they do otherwise they wouldn't do it. Especially cross country with how intense it is!

  • yeah some of them willingly go over those jumps and when they fall they get hurt bad! I just wish they would make less dangerous jumps for the horse and riders sakes. Why do u want to jump something that if your horse makes one mistake(and it is just an animal their not dependable) your going to brake your neck? It justs seems like a wreckless sport, cross country that is.

  • @EMLcowhorses - excuse me? horses 100 years ago were used in battle, they were shot, speared, blown up. A life as a sport horse seems like heaven in comparison. you people are inexperienced and uneducated in equine sport, and to be quite frank, know nothing about eventing. and use jumps that arnt solid? er....thats called showjumping... whats a fail of equestrianism is people like you speaking out and condeming these fantastic athletes.everyone gets injured. dont like it? take up knitting :)

  • ok don't label me as you people like i'm inferior to you. I know enough about eventing to know that athletes they may be, however there are better ways to show your skills and well trained horses than putting them in danger over those crazy jumps.

  • @EMLcowhorses :

the most horses like to do cross countrey ;)

  • ok listen, if you want to jump your horses thats fine. I just don't agree with cross country jumping, its wreckless.

  • @EMLcowhorses that's treu , it's not my favourite part of horse riding , cus if they fall they fall mostly bad.. but you can't stop it :(

  • 2:06 ouch but lol, like my dog trying to get on the sofa lol

  • 9 sec lol

  • OMG!!! shut up!!!! all these horses love it!!! if u dnt know horses then dnt comment on them!!!

  • I dont know if anyone noticed but at 0.10...the horse just kept going so obviously its no problem to them.

  • Im sorry but A) those riders are all f****** HORRIBLE, and B) that sure looked like horse abuse to me, putting them over those ridiculous jumps. The risk of injury is the highest in that sport compared to any other Im quite positive!!

  • hows it abuse may i ask? these horses love jumping, yea they may fall, injuries happen but dont they happen in all sports? the point is, is it worth balling everyone up in cotton wool, cos we are afraid of people and animals getting hurt? the world is becoming of people being too scared to do something because they may get hurt

  • very good video! OUCH though and i love the one where the horse jumps after the rider falls then runs! good pony!

  • haha the one who's jumping w/o rider over one jump and then running away. lmao ^^'

but to be honest ... there were some pretty bad riders. no offense just think a lot of falls in this vid are the fault of the riders.

  • @FlightlessBird95 none of these people are bad riders, its not ur fault for thinkin that tho. u would only understand if u did eventing.

  • @ilovehorses2255 well maybe you're right. really didn't wanted to offend anyone. we'll see when i'm trying it wanted to do eventing for a loong time.

  • @FlightlessBird95

Let's see YOU ride at a two star.

  • @FlightlessBird95 yeah they have their reins all over the place

  • could i use some of these clips in my video? thnx

  • beautiful video! Some falls are so scary and .. and.. i don't know.

  • your video making skills are pretty damn awsome

  • would you mind tellin me where you got all theses amazing falling videos!?? :)

  • svenskryttare blogg se

  • when poeple do cross country does the bit hurt there mouths bc some of the rider look like they were pulling on the rains realy hard im just wondering good video

  • this is such a cool video-great editing =)

  • I think that the course designers are getting too extreme. I mean, it's not the riders fault that the course designer is a big money-hungry jerk. but not all course designers are...

still, eventing courses didn't used to be this complex, about twenty years ago the jumps were bigger and had the difficulty of a Novice course. which, wasn't that bad, but then these selfish course designers just want to get payed to add more jumps...hence the course difficulty

  • umm no its because the horses need harder challenges and their able todo more things, there is just as many accidents from the advanced and 4stars that novice tbh. happens to everyone. You obviously don't event.

  • yes, falling off happens to everyone, but I'm just thinking of the horse and riders welfare. yes, horses and riders need to be challenged, but they do not need to be given a nearly impossible course to prove that they can ride....but that's just my opinion...

  • Comment removed

  • Could i PLEASE use this video i will give u credit!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • that one guy @ 0:22 was YANKING on the horse's mouth over each fence.... he deserved that

  • i'm a para equestrian and i'd love to try cross country but health and safety spoilsports apparently deem me unable to evaluate risk or make informed choices. people assume the amount of time spent in a wheelchair is indirectly proportional to the level of intelligence or ability. ok rant over lol. XD
