Nice, I also have an old vacuum cleaner (1995-2010) from which the motor started making weird bumping noises and also started to stink, apart from the fact that it's been 2 years since it sounds different. Got it back today from a repairman and i was told that it is beyond repair. I'm thinking of plugging it in outside and let it blow up-smoke or catch fire, as I bought a new one, much better, with a plastic tank instead of a dust bag.
