I agree totally. Mutual combat has some justification, if you are trying to hurt me then I have the right to hurt you back. If however someone is kicking someone that is already down, then shove, push, taser, hit with a baton, etc. what ever it takes to stop the "assault" (no longer defined as a fight when someone is already down).

I don't know if you have seen a cat fight or not...but that stuff can get worse than two guys fighting, so pushing her was the smartest thing to do, because if you try and hold a girl back they are going to kick and claw.
