@MrLink417 Depends on the gun... some times, with revolvers or guns that have massive recoil after firing, yes... it might not "blow off one of your fingers", but it would certainly do some damage.
Also, in the time all this takes place, it would be so quick, that little errors dont often happen. They aren't expecting you to do this, and once you grab the gun, you should step on the gas so that their hand is forced to release or they have to like run along side or fall to the road.
I guess this move would work if you're driving in the woods. But it definitely wouldn't work on a traffic light. What are the odds of you being first in line while waiting for the traffic light. Even if there weren't any cars in front of you, you'd still run a red light, which would probably get you, the carjacker, and innocent people killed. As for reverse, you'd have to be one lucky motherfucker because it is rare to wait for a traffic light with no one behind you...Think people THINK!!!

@Hrafnvir That's not a fact. One MAJOR factor about martial arts is self-defense. MMA = Mixed Martial Arts, right? Depends on who you are if is it a sport or self-defense. Maybe it's both. It depends on who the person practicing it is.
@ShyRobot I should have said MMA sport organizations is a sport, like UFC or WEC. MMA can definitely be used as self defense, of course. They have no-gi Jitsu or gi Jitsu. No-gi is for the octogon and gi is for self defense since you use the other person's clothing or weapon in many moves. It depends on what you want to do. I love being a fighter, and even though I train for sport, knowing Muay Thai and Jiu Jitsu in a life or death situation is damn better than knowing how to train a pokemon.
@ShyRobot but Krav Maga is a military/police thing. People in MMA don't train in this because it lacks many striking and grappling moves that are practical in sport. Krav Maga is used to injure or kill. While MMA can be used to kill people and definitely can severely injure people, most people do it for sport. Teens can do MMA for a sport and I would recommend it, but I don't think its cool to teach a 14yr kid Krav so he can go kill his bullies. I'm sure the big man wouldn't like that very much.

During a Rangemasters course several years ago one drill was to hold the slide while firing one round. I forget the purpose (something about close quarters firing). We did it by holding the top of the slide and not with thumb on rear. Those with 9mms (I was using a Glock 17) didn't even use gloves and those with 40 and 45 did. No problem and no injuries to anyone. Not as bad on the hand as I had feared."

The fault I see that keeps me from loving this video is that you can't hold onto a semi-automatic like that when it fires. The assailants finger is ON THE TRIGGER as you drive away IT WILL FIRE. THERE is no way I am going to a police station with a gun (loaded most likely) and saying that someone just tried to jack my car. I would be thrown in jail for 20 years EASY. To the idiot talking about MMA, its a sport. If you really think that the UFC wants their athletes getting killed, you're an idiot. Krav Maga is awesome, but its mainly gun disarms. I've never seen someone step into the Octogon with a gun. It's a sport god dammit. Football is a sport, nobody talks shit about that. There are people that are douche bags that do MMA and same with Krav Maga. Krav Maga is self defense. MMA is a sport. Get your facts straight before you say something stupid again.

@Hrafnvir That's not a fact. One MAJOR factor about martial arts is self-defense. MMA = Mixed Martial Arts, right? Depends on who you are if is it a sport or self-defense. Maybe it's both. It depends on who the person practicing it is.

@ShyRobot I should have said MMA sport organizations is a sport, like UFC or WEC. MMA can definitely be used as self defense, of course. They have no-gi Jitsu or gi Jitsu. No-gi is for the octogon and gi is for self defense since you use the other person's clothing or weapon in many moves. It depends on what you want to do. I love being a fighter, and even though I train for sport, knowing Muay Thai and Jiu Jitsu in a life or death situation is damn better than knowing how to train a pokemon.

@ShyRobot but Krav Maga is a military/police thing. People in MMA don't train in this because it lacks many striking and grappling moves that are practical in sport. Krav Maga is used to injure or kill. While MMA can be used to kill people and definitely can severely injure people, most people do it for sport. Teens can do MMA for a sport and I would recommend it, but I don't think its cool to teach a 14yr kid Krav so he can go kill his bullies. I'm sure the big man wouldn't like that very much.

@Hrafnvir Krav Maga is for killing people. Mma is for sport. I'm 14 and do RMA. Rma is reality martial arts. Its mma with the things for the street such as knife fighting, gun defencnce, eye attacks ect.

During a Rangemasters course several years ago one drill was to hold the slide while firing one round. I forget the purpose (something about close quarters firing). We did it by holding the top of the slide and not with thumb on rear. Those with 9mms (I was using a Glock 17) didn't even use gloves and those with 40 and 45 did. No problem and no injuries to anyone. Not as bad on the hand as I had feared."

The fault I see that keeps me from loving this video is that you can't hold onto a semi-automatic like that when it fires. The assailants finger is ON THE TRIGGER as you drive away IT WILL FIRE. You now have a broken windshield and you are driving away with a status of you're unarmed, he is and you can see to drive.

THERE is no way I am going to a police station with a gun (loaded most likely) and saying that someone just tried to jack my car. I would be thrown in jail for 20 years EASY. They would just say I'm some guy who lost his marbles and made up a story to take the blame away from whatever crime I just committed with the loaded gun. I know the law. They discriminate, HEAVILY.

what the hell, why wouldn't the person punch u, it's also a second reaction, one time i swung a bat at a skilled martial art guy, and he clinched my arms in a way that i couldn't swing hte bat anymore, so i headbutted him in the nose, it was a split second decision, and he was on the floor bleeding, then i beat him with the bat, and ur saying that if u grab the gone, they're not going to punch you?
