Worked! after reboot it showed pineapple boot screen, then a cartoon guy with a talk bubble saying something foreign maybe russian, but he looked happy. At this point the iphone seemed frozen. I waited a few minutes for good measure and then reset the phone using both buttons hone then home and power. then i powered back on with power and everything seems cool.

Got me a 1st gen ipodTouch running the 2.2 firmware (5G77). I've tried everything to jailbreak it but it never seems to push through. Initially I used "QuickPwn" (even tried using the new version/2.2.5-2), but the process always ends when the device reboots (supposedly after the jailbreak process has finishes successfully) and I'm "frozen" where the apple logo appears on the black screen. Any answers? I've even tried using "ZiPhone" but that didn't work either. :(

For all those who have problems with opening Quickpwn: download the QuickPWN 22-1. Open the arhive. I did it with WinRAR. You will see two files : README.TXT QuickPwn.exe Right Click on QuickPwn.exe and choose "View Files" not extract. Now you will see: Data Folder QuickPwn.exe and Two .DLL files Select all and extract them.
