This guy is the most obnoxious blow hard on radio. Don't know who ever told him he's some sort of sports authority - stick to horse racing - something nobody would pay any attention to if there was no betting.
I'm a New Yorker and I think this guy is an over-rated blow hard. He's supposed to be the king of sports talk radio...HA! He speaks with this air of authority. I find him average.
The horrible part of 'new media' is that someone like ChrisNH2 can log on and say whatever they want about ANYONE. Mike Francesa is the godfather of sports talk radio and is about as far from a "hack" as one can get. He's not great in this video, and he is well past his prime, but he is no hack.
The beauty of 'new media' like YouTube and the wonderful advent of 'comments sections' is that sports media hacks are ridiculed to a higher degree than ever. What's more, sports media hacks are incessantly interested in what's being said and written about them. So, the 'Mike' idiot no doubt comes here to read what I've just written. I LOVE having the ability to bludgeon sports media hacks!
mike never had to evolove and become a better radiocaster because he never had to, so he's just the same old mike.....dead air, bad storyteller, and selective memory when it comes to his errors and bad predictions.
