@102936 When one looks back at the '84 Dem ticket, you see why they got beat so badly (losing 49 states & nearly losing Minnesota). Mondale was the VP for Jimmy Carter who had been resoundingly defeated for re-election just 4 years earlier. Secondly, Geraldine Ferraro was not qualified to be VP, or God forbid President (she had only been in the House for 4 years; & remember how Dems said Palin was not qualified to be VP in '08 & she was a state Governor). Both were pummeled by Reagan/Bush in '84
