  • The best song on this album IMO is Hoochie Coochie Dancin'. Catchy tune, funny title, and innuendos/meanings lol!

  • @TheSunnyStar Come And Stay All Night is the best to me! Check it out!

  • What's the name of the first song? I've searched 'Forever' but none of them match.

    Plz help?

  • @BxL0W Don't worry it's coming!

  • @sylversfan11

    U made my day man!

Thanks for finding somebody who wanted to upload it!

  • this is a good brand of disco they copied the jackson five thats why they had cholly atkins although they had thereown music making them better but everybody knows that they copied the jacksons foster moved just like mj and edmund did to at first but as he got older he moved more like jermaine

  • I wasnot there in the seventies but i LOVE THIS THE BES dont know good music maybe because they pants are not hanging below they booty and their bodies filled with tatoos.

  • With a name like Disco Fever you know it's gotta be good ;o

  • There's a reason this didn't sell. People wanted to hear an album that was comparable to The Jacksons, not Donna Summer no disrespect. But they were marketed as the next Jacksons

  • I love the Sylvers, but this is not their best work.

  • whats the name of the first song?

  • Okay just to clear things up here, it was the Forever Yours album that was recorded for the Capital Records label. The executives at the label didn't like it or the direction that it was taking the family in. So they left Capital and went to Casablanca. They charted with Don't Stop Get Off. Come Dance With Me and Forever Yours were also singles.

If anyone has tape of them performing Come Dance With Me I would love to see it. They had a great performance with that song.

  • Im so diggin' hootchie coochie dancin'.

  • anyone has the first song you heard beginning this video? is called "forever"? I like having it in my IPOD

    but can not find u.u

    send me message,

    bye bye

  • I wore that record out!

  • this is the album that lost them a lot of fans - I remember that it ws about 1 year behind the times for this kind of disco, Released right before the DISCO SUCKS movement. in reality it was one of the cleanest, tightest productions of they're careers

  • the Sylvers are my Cusins

  • WHO CARES1

  • Sylvers were trying to get the success that Donna Summer had with Giorgio. Donna sold millions all over the world with Giorgio and Pete. But Donna, Giorgio, and Pete had a special magical chemistry and collaberation that couldn't be duplicated

  • yeah that was the last sylvers death nell i dont even remember this album and i was a disc jockey then..... they were a really good jackson five clone there were others, but were either one hit wonders like the group that put out "love jones" or never got heard out side of their neighborhoods. after the debarge hit in the early eighties i guess the family said what the hell! give it up!

  • Mahagony was actually a lightly popular club hit in the Chicago area during the summer of 79. My stepfather was a DJ then and it was a track he would play about half way through the evening. And it was popular among the dance contest crowd as well.

  • You know the 70s just COULD NOT be outrated. Those were the BEST music days!!!!!

  • A. Disco wasn't over. Another year and it would be.

    B. The album doesn't suck. Granted, it's paint by numbers disco as produced by Moroder. But it's not a bad album.

    C. Leon COULDN'T produce it because he was signed exclusively to SOLAR at the time. Producing for Casablanca would have been in breach of that agreement.

  • Wrong.Leon would have been able to work with his brothers and sisters.Foster Sylvers said in a interview that the manager and label wanted Moroder to produced it.Foster said he hated this record. And Disco was over by the summer of 79 and this album came out in the spring/summer of 79..And Leon, was not exclusively to SOLAR.This album is not there best. The album b4 and after disco fever are there best work.

  • Well, given that the entire SOLAR roster was exclisive...and given that Century Entertainment and Sylro Productions sued SOLAR for signing Leon away from the Casablanca deal...I'd say that my take on the situation was pretty spot on. I agree with you, "Forever Yours" was a superb album. Leon did produce that LP, but it was supposed to be their next Capitol album (in fact it was recorded at Capitol's studios). Capitol didn't want it, so the group went to Casablanca as Leon left to join SOLAR.

  • And I also agree that "Disco Fever" wasn't their best. Like Leon at SOLAR, Giorgio Moroder was THE BIG producer at Casablanca and he was overworked. With Leon at SOLAR, the label and management hooked the group up with Moroder. But, I don't think his heart was in it.

  • Moroder is a cool produce but, not for The Sylvers.Their management was trying to take the group in another direction, and Leon was not for it.Again I say it's not there best work.Love the Sylvers, but not dis record.

  • I got this album for my birthday in 1979.

  • wooo high 5

  • @kachoo2135 how old are you?

  • @kachoo2135 i was only born that year haha you old codger you lol great music though.

  • @saint2perth Who u callin' old? I may be old, but I still appreciate good music when I hear it!

  • Sappy, sacharine, sweet. The Silvers never got past the shadow of The Jacksons. However, The Eldest Brother, Leon Silvers, becames a million selling song writer and producer.

  • you had to be there in the 70's you HAD to been there! this music isnt made anymore

  • whats up this is fresh whats the first song caled this is my jammmm

  • Hi it's called Forever. Thanks for checking out the video!

  • forever, by whom... The Sylvers? I cannot find the full song

  • alright now. jammin hits... wish i could find a place 'round my area that played some REAL oldies like this...

  • intresting.. can't tell which of them is black or white or hispanic.. all have afros. lmao. people today can learn from that.

  • I've been waiting for this one!!!! Thanks heryoz27 for keeping the Sylvers alive.
