When I first played this game, it was hard getting used to the overhead perspective but as you begin to replay the tracks, you get used to the controls. As you learn the tracks, making the turns become second nature and you begin to anticipate the power ups on each level. Good review! But i am still pondering on your age ... July 1988 ... that would make you 23 but you sure sound alot older than that!
But honestly you sound ALOT older than a 23 year old! Had you not mentioned your age, I would have guessed you were in your mid 40s! Now don't pull out that shotgun! I am not Superman and will not be able to outrun the bullet! =P
Nice review of an awesome game. Though I like the original R.C. Pro-Am, I prefer R.C Pro-Am II. Unfortunately, that game is very hard to find. Have you ever played it?
like this if you're born in 1988 and still playing this !

I used to own the Game Boy version as a kid. I sucked at it, but I enjoyed it. Nice review man.

@TheDoopliss2 Yeah I did, I forgot it was developed by Rare, and published by LJN. I'll be damned, nice catch there.

In all fairness, the controls would be slippery as an RC car has no weight to grip the road, unlike a real truck.
