  • just like drugs

making drugs illegal doesnt stop people from buying, using, and selling them.

making guns illegal in other countries hasnt stopped criminals from buying, selling, and using them. all it does is cost tax payers money funding gov. orginizations and police forces.

  • If someone is willing to pay the price, too bad. This is how it works for EVERY SINGLE OTHER THING.

  • Ticket scalping ain't illegal. If that's the case, then everyone on StubHub and Craigslist is illegal because the tickets are third-party! LOL. If the Giants management don't want it around the park, then lower the damn prices. Just about any materialistic goods on the planet can be bought cheaper from someone else selling it. I love my team, but I will continue to buy scalped tickets. I'm not in the business of supporting corporate greed.

  • @JumpStreet1983 The prices are low, But it is hard to find good seats. That is why people sell them, FOR MORE MONEY then they are worth. Just like they said in the video. Section 116 was 22$ a ticket normal, and 150$ a ticket from the scalper.

  • the reason he has a sign saying I NEED TICKETS is because he needs more tickets to sell. His sign doesn't say he is going to the game!!!!

  • The real scalpers are in New York. They know how to haggle. They also know how to hide from the police

  • Frankly, I don't give a shit if scalpers exist. As long as they're not screwing people over and deceiving them and saying they got good tickets when they really they're bad tickets, or whatever teh case is, it's fine by me. Shouldn't we free the market even more and let citizens sell tickets, not just the big corporate ticket giants?? If people are desperate for tickets, and the big ticket retailers are out, you should be glad for scalpers.

Besides, scalping is regular business practice.

  • No one who wants a profit is gonna buy something just to sell it at the same price. They'd be back where they started! So obviously they have to charge a higher price. Why is it so maligned when it comes to tickets?

I'm so pissed at how we can hardly resell anything in mass distribution that's first sold by big retailers. Tickets, movies, etc. WTF? "Free market", my ass. What about the little guy?

  • EVERY stadium has these shady people outside selling overpriced tickets, always holding signs that say "I need tickets" but when you walk by them, they ask "Do you need tickets?"

Never buy from a scalper. Buy bleacher seats and when you get to the game, find some empty seats in a much better section and sit there. Ushers usually dont even notice. Just sit in that seat and pretend its yours.

  • Do you people know any shit about supply and demand? Ticket scalpers wouldn't even have to exist if you people didn't just HAVE TO HAVE those tickets and weren't willing to pay a large price for them.

  • it depends where you try to seek into seats that you dont have tixs for, even bleacher seats, they will check tixs sometimes but most of the time at AT&T, ushers dont check tixs in the bleachers, they do it all the time in the bleachers at the Oakland Coliseum but after a few innings into a game, you can move into better seats

  • @YouWantMeYouCantPay

How is it an overpriced ticket if someone is willing to pay the price?

  • last guy that got mad at scalpers should ask the ballpark if they sell those hotdogs for the price they buy 'em at......hahaha

    no bloody difference !!

  • that is hilarious what you said!

  • @getchasumm

    funny and true

  • i'd like to see the law that saws its illegal...i doubt its illegal... its called free enterprise...

if i buy a pair of shoes, i should be allowed to resell them to someone else if they don't fit...

    we can't i resell tickets?

  • its against the tickets terms and conditions. Much the same as its against the rules to eat food in a cinema purchased outside, its not agains the rules, but against the ticket agencies policy.

  • Ticket scalpers are actually good for both the fan and the team.

The team gets a free distribution system, and an air of "hot item" about their tickets.

The fan is lucky to have scalpers - where the hell else would they get tickets to a sold out game?

And this idiotic "news" story, aimed at people with IQs lower that George Bush's neglects one thing - that the Giants HOST THEIR OWN SCALPING WEBSITE!

    Got a problem with scalpers?

    Buy a season ticket.

    Ya mooch, ya.

  • I agree. I would have never bought any tickets less than floor tickets for NIN and when I couldnt get them on release day through ticket master, I went to Ebay. Praise the ticket scalper for only charging 50 dollars more and I was glad to pay it. I was at the very front and I dont resent or regret it at all!

  • Ticket scalpers need to be put out of business.

  • that won't be possible for a while until the city does anything about it...

  • @Sulaco516 suck my dink

  • The one fun one is the folks standing at the corner of the donut shop selling fake giants jackets. You can easily tell that they aint real because there's no logo and stitching on the "San Francisco" logo is crappy.

  • people buying fake scalped ticktets i call that a stupid tax....(tax you pay for being dumb) you can just buy tics at the OFFICIAL stadium place...oh and GO GIANTS

  • haha, your so right and that is funny

  • People that buy tickets and then sell them for much more to make money ruin it for real fans.

  • a real fan would have tickets beforehand.
