I have been to this hospital. Before the war the docs said the death rate was due to Saddam dumping sewage upstream into the Tigris River, to infect the Shi'a kids with diarrhea. Now, it's depleted uranium? Read the science - it's not hard to understand. DU doesn't do this, but the uranium at Saddam's old Tuwaitha Nuclear Plant does.

depleted uranium (DU)is used in armor piercing bullets but there is no reason to believe they could cause this DU bullets were used in Kosovo w/ no increase in leukemia or these other conditions there are too many other factors in Iraq which are a more likely cause

There is depleted uranium in Iraq because the US government chooses to pretend thatits use on weaponry only causes the arms to be better able to penetrate tanks, buildings etc. They choose to ignore the danger to humans, most especially children.
