We originally launched with support limited to tablets, for user-interface and playability reasons, and we have been developing the phone build since then. @Pumpsify Our game supports Voice Chat on all platforms other than Android. We've been in the process of bringing it to Android for awhile, and that permission is related to prototyping the voice chat library. Once released, you'll be able to voice chat in-game with friends on all other versions (Windows, Linux, Mac).

While I love the game mechanics, the grafix for the ships are sub-par, soloing is akin to wasting money in the game, if you aren't part of a guild you're toast, and monthly subscriptions in this economy are ridiculous. It's also ridiculous that another player ship can destroy you before you even have a chance to react. Oh are you new? To bad, you're dead. Don't play without a ton of friends guarding you constantly. Why pay for something you can barley enjoy soloing?

@Mglosk I enjoy soloing this game. You have to know how to solo. Dynamic Hive Skirmish in an ion storm, yeah, plus epic loot at the end. $6.67 per month (what I pay for VO) is not that much, just go without one extra trip to Starbucks. I also have a prox alert in game to warn me when another player gets within 500m, that helps me avoid getting destroyed in the blink of an eye.

EVE players are the scientologists of gaming: If any space game comes out, its a "threat" that has to be "dealt with" because it's not EVE and is SOMEHOW, in SOME WAY stealing from EVE. I don't know how, as all the space mmos out right now are twitch based, while EVE is Excel-in-space. If your response to this is "THE SHIPS ARE THE SAME!!!!!1!!11!1!!", get over yourself and try designing a ship with shapes that haven't been seen a hundred times over.

@demon212 problem with black prophecy is that there isn't aything else to it apart from combat. It's eautiful, and everything about it,it looks and feels amazing. It's just there not much to it. It needs a proper economy, and the ability to do mining etc, and have differen career paths, as there isn't much depth to it.

I was just suggesting to him a game that's free and at least can provide a decent level of entertainment. but for BP, they really need to go deeper with it. i am not seeing a lot of promise in this game, looks a lot like Jump gate Evolution an both of them look like Earth and Beyond. If you can not customize your toons in either of these games and or your ships then either of them are not worth a whole lot of time. So i will be checking them out and i hope for the best for both of them.

Pay no attention to Malorian's post. This game is the greatest, with a nice community. I know people who just leave their ships unattended, and still don't get attacked. Plus having multiplatform support makes it accessible to almost anyone =D.

It's what made me stop playing a great game called "Wurm Online". A Niche game as that, just couldn't survive after the open beta ended. At least not up to the scale I was used to.

@jojosmooth At the moment, there is no other title like this one out there. Trust me, I've searched all over to find mmorpg space sims, but Vendetta online is the only space mmo atm that allows you to fly your ship directly and gives you full control over your ship, as its twitch based combat. That's what I've was looking for and Vendetta Online is the only one that does that.eve online is nice, but too spreadsheet like, and you have no control over your ship, also has a very steep learningcurve

i used to play this game. i would f*** up anyone going through los or whatever those neutral sectors were called. i was so good even this guy apex couldnt clearly beat me in a duel. unfortunately i had to pay for it by being constantely /votemuted. i quit after realizing although the gameplay was good, the people who made of its base were worthless jerks whom i hated spending time with. im a million times happer with eve online now

Well I've played Eve Online for about two years, and am taking a break from it since this game simply requires MUCH more time than I have at the moment.

I'd heard about Vendetta in the past but hadnt tried it since I stink at joysticks.However I recently started researching it (mostly on youtube and forums).

I liked what I've seen so I just downloaded the client and am trying it.

Im trying the trial and its pretty fun, may end up using the joystick.The only down side is the 8 hour limit.

So far after having tried the first tutorial though Im enjoying it so far, and I was rather happy with how well the game handles, loads up, etc.

This game is amazing. I think about it every now and then and have to play it again for a while. The flight experience is truly immersive, especially in fights, which are the most intense of any game I've played. I haven't played EVE so I can't say how it compares but either way this is a great game and an incredible accomplishment for such a small dev team. If it had a larger community and more unique missions I could throw my life away on it all too easily.

Due to being short of time and money tho I have stopped for a month or two, but hopefully I will be back playing it after christmas or late january.

The graphics have been completely updated since I tried it last time a few years ago. They may not be like eve, but they are still brilliant. The overall feel of the game is amazing.

It really draws you in, and you feel like your actually going through the universe. You have to get into it, but its really quite an amzaing game. I recommend at least a trial for anyone, its worth it.
