I will be taking at least one round trip per year on one of these now. The sound of all 4 engines at takeoff power (especially if you sit on the wing) is breathtaking.
Its nice to see a tribute to this unsung hero. My neighbor flies for United Airlines and flies their 744(747-400) and i have been on board her 4 times now and trust me once you've seen 1st class in the worlds most beautiful aircraft with a nice airline to boot(Qantas) you truly see the aircraft's full potential. I still cant get over when i first took my seat on the upper deck :] Such a beautiful aircraft.
I prefer the IL series, but the 747 will always be a true transport warrior for me!!! :)

the a80 might be bigger better and newer but it will never have the thrill that you can get from big old 747

I am not an Boeing fan i preffer Airbus, but yes! the boeing 747 was and still is the "queen" of the skies for me =),, nice video
