  • Tony Williams stands atop the Mount Rushmore of Jazz drumming.

  • Tony Williams continues to be one of the most influential drummers ever. He could play anything from hard bop to hard rock. No matter how many times I watch him play he never ceases to amaze me. We lost him way too young, but he will live on forever in his recordings.

As far as Miles goes...I wouldn't consider him to be the Prince of Darkness...but i will bet he was one pain in the ass...

  • Wow, you've got to love that technique with both grips, and the musicality and syncopation is inspiring. Damn nice set of biceps and triceps to. This is one of the best little solos I've come across of late thanks!

  • Beautiful !!

  • Nice stuff...I'd love to see the rest of this show posted...the version of "Well You Needn't" from this one is boggling....my tape is buried in a warehouse far away.
