Nice cooker, I can not believe this was three years ago, and I only seen this now. Too bad, andersonsolar(com), is nonexistent, how are we suppose to order it? Has any one done a rotisserie chicken or roast? Love it, I have five solar cookers, now.

@HoWilliam50 Hi, Due to the movement of the sun in the sky, it is best if you rotate the cooking pot every 20 minutes unless you are using the rotisserie.

One question: In relation to storage, do you currently make a cover for it, or some sort of protective covering for when it is not in use (since you showed what it can do to cardboard, it could feasible do something to wood if it was facing it)?

@Mikeinflorida1 I feel like it would be easier to just put a spring in there and wind it up like a clock. Gear the spring so that it only needs to be wound maybe once an hour or so

HMMM, at my lat/long that reflector has enough surface area for about 1.5kw of power. Call it a 1500 watt equivalent toaster oven.

Heck do it right and you could probably use a bunch of these in the backyard to heat wateer for the shower and radiators in the house. Put some sort of steam motor in the line and you could get some electricity........

Why doesn't it have a an equatorial mount so you don't have to change the elevation (except a few times a year)? That would would also let you motorize the mount so you would not need to change the angle every 20 minutes.
