Kryten first appears in series 2, he crashed Lister's space bike after Lister taught him to rebel, feeling guilty he went out and gathered as much of him as possible but many bits where missing so Lister had to salvage different parts most of them where American.

Kryten never left The Dwarf it just took Lister ages to put him back together again,
