I think that it is a true zero-sum game. In other words, for every transaction in which there is winner, there is loser. That is unlike the stock and bond markets where transactions between users and providers of capital can create a win-win outcomes. Furthermore, because of the number of forex market participants, it is fairly efficient market which decreases the likelihood of having a sustainable positive return. I had not heard of Fred Robot, but lots of reviews on web - mixed at best.
thank you that was a very well put together and well thought out answer. it completely summerized your view and approach to investing. let me venture to guess you're more in league with the Benjamin Graham approach to investing i.e. the purpose of investing is to assist a company that needs capital and in return you receive dividends or sell at a higher price after some time of holding on to the stock?
