They had to change it becuase its a show about teenagers. Teenagers in school and if they kept the same cast the storylines would all be screwed up and they would end up with 20 year olds in the show which ruins the point. Replacing the cast is a way of keeping the show fresh.

honestly I thought I'd hate the new Skins cast but I really like it!! I think they did a good job changing the cast, especially keeping it around Effy. Not as good as the first one, obviously, but it was a good transition since the other gang left school.

has no one noticed tht the final shot in the opening credits changes every episode, it changes to whatever character the episode is about coz there's like 3 versions of the opening credits online lolz. the new one is for Maxxie n Tony in series 2 yay!
