  • what a knockout sound and great playing.

  • wow! fantastic!

  • kick azz guitar playing from start to finish

  • fantastic quality!

  • It's great to see that old guy rock like that! Love it!

  • Everyone can hear the original version with Rich Herring (Little River Band) playing acoustic and Brent Mason (guitar genius) playing lead. There are also lyrics there for people that have requested them. It all lives on my MySpace page and should be pretty ez to find. (billydavismusic)

    Peace,

    Billy Davis

    Nashville, TN

  • Great stuff, I love Brent's playing!

  • There's guitar playing and then there's serious guitar playing, this is great, love the bass also

  • Man, that is so fine, love his final riff towards the first fret, bassman is solid

  • Makes me wanna pick up the guitar and play, thanks, that was really truly awesome!

  • what's the tittle of this song?? it's great!

  • WOAH!

  • CONGRATULATIONS Billy, Chip, & David

    cheers,

    FLOG

  • that brent rocks!

  • oh man...

  • what bass is that?

  • what tone!!!

  • Sweet ride and song.

  • Is there a guitar tab for this great song out there?

  • Is there somewhere a tab for this song/guitar solo?

  • I love PRS. i cant wait until i have enough moneyt for one. great sounds and playing.

  • brent!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • are these just really good studio musician? It just seems like another day at the job for them

  • that guy playing guitar has more grammys than you and me together have birthdays...

  • what amp is he using?

  • there is a website with his gear and bio on it, just type his name in any big search engine, it'll come up

  • is it just me or does it say the name of the song at the begining!?!?!?!

  • can you get that kinda tone from any SE guitars or which has the closest tone

  • Who said sex wasn't aloud on YouTube?

That tone is pure sex right there!!!

    Rockin!

  • i've had swamp ash's .....they're BOLT ONs

no maple top. But, I must say never seen other PRS models with a middle single

  • The 12 string has a middle pickup and so does the PRS Studios. I still think this is a PS McCarty Trem w/ SAS appointments.

  • great guitar, great Tone. Second to Gibson!

  • Not a SAS (Swamp Ash Special) boys and girls. I know this because of one fundamental reason: The body has a maple top. SAS's are made of Swamp Ash, not Maple. :)

  • Couldnt it be a private stock sas because it has the same configuration. I know you can use whattever wood you want on a private stock so couldnt they do that, just a little speculation

  • It's true. You can choose whatever wood you want in the Private Stock program, but if you make a guitar out of Maple and Mahogany, how can you say it is a SAS based guitar? So to modify on your comment, I would say it is a Private Stock McCarty with SAS treatments (pickups etc).

  • I guess you are right...

  • awesome, PRS are so nice.

  • I was mesmerized 30 years ago watching him caress his guitar and knew then he would do well. Today he still has a special gift to share with all who will listen! I never knew anyone more dedicated to perfecting his talent.

  • Great playing...

  • anyone knows the name of this song?? because it's really awsome by the way really love the prs bass sound and also the looks

  • That´s a PRS Swap Ash especial, notice the blade switch

  • Brent Rowan´s playing is excellent, his parts are very sutible for the song.

  • Brent Rowan´s playing is excellent, his parts are very sutible for the song

  • That guitar is definatly a Swamp Ash Special it has the same pickups and body style he could have custom made it with a mccarty but then it probably would just be a precurser to the SAS

  • I think that is a swamp ash special(the guitar)

  • this guitar looks like a mix of a mccarty and a swamp ash special.

  • i think it might be custom, but idkk since like everyones aruging tht its a mix.

  • Mooie prs bass !!

  • gary is one great bass player listen that bottom, namm every year he's there

  • Cool bass!!

  • I think that guitar is a swamp ash special

  • Killer playing!! OK, guitar wise, if you look closely you can see the McCarty name on the truss rod cover. That would make this a McCarty trem with an SAS electronics package. It's hard to tell, but it appears to have Phase II locking tuners as well. This was never a production model, but was probably an artist relations model made just for Brent. Really nice sounding guitar IMHO.

  • I'm pretty sure thats a Swamp Ash Special.

  • yep

  • I think that´s a Swamp Ash Special too.

  • That's just awesome

  • PRS makes basses was not aware of that.

  • I want to play the guitar like that!!!!

  • Woah!!! That's nice.

Carlos Who??? (jus kiddin) but this guy is on par i reckon.

  • Anyone know if he's got, or is planning a solo album?

  • He's got two or three of em. Mostly mello acoustic stuff. Check out his first one called "Bare Essentials."

  • WOw the tone on the prs is soo freaking awesome one day i will have one .....

  • Hi, I couldn't agree more. Would you know wihch model is that guitar? Thanks.

  • i cant find this bloody song anywhere, anyone got it?

  • Man, Richard Dreyfus sure can play!

  • Mans got more SOUL than a ten foot tennis shoe from Tennesse! Herb Walker with Midnite Express band

  • its always the guy you wouldnt expect to play great that does.

  • Cool, a PRS bass

  • dobrien66 you are comparing styles which are too different and don't criticize a style that you obviously don't know any s***. But true you don't always need to shred.

  • Attn: Metalheads/Shredders: This is how to play with impact, grace, subtlety and power -- touching people far more than mindless machine gun riffs.

  • faveroited!

  • Does anyone know what effects, if any, he's using? Is there a bit of delay in there or maybe just some reverb? What amp?

  • Would you know wihch model is that guitar? Thanks.

  • There is a little delay and probably an amp modeler like a pod.

  • Attn: Metalheads, this is how to play with subtlety, soul, grace, and taste -- making the notes count and letting the music breathe and burrow its way into people's hearts. This type of playing impacts people far more deeply than mindless, machine gun riffs.

  • Unbelievable . . .

  • Its probably custom

It looks like a maple top mccarty with the duncan single coil in the middle from the swamp ash special electronics package

  • Brent Rowan is one of the most in-demand session players in Nashville.

  • It's great to See Gary Grainger playing here. He was brilliant in John Scofield's band. (Now there's a guitar player!) THANKS

  • nice nice smooooooooooth playing!!!!great sound!!!!

  • thats i real guitar player !!

  • wow

  • Nice work - I'm looking this guy up!
