  • @xoxostephanie101 christmas is coming up soon and if you shop around on ebay youll get a great deal! best of luck!

  • More than the pictures, i enjoyed ur song so much. So blessed. Pictures are breathtaking. Cheers. God Bless.

  • nice pictures! does it record videos too!?

  • @0147sabb, no it cant take Videos. But 500D can take videos and it has 15 Megapixel with 3200 ISO. But Canon EOS 1000D is a great one for ppl who actually take pictures as their hobby.

    Cheers.

  • if its hd then why not widescreen? i think it was just upconverted to hd...anyway nice photos!

  • how to get best color in canon 1000d??

  • nice pics....i have also this kind of camera....i just want to ask how to change the ISO of it...

  • Got the same camera and lens and it`s a lot to learn but outside my photos does look good , indoors it`s a bit harder but i manily photograph outside . Will surely get better the more i use it and learn

  • Finally somebody uploaded photos in 1080p, really shows the images better than 480p.

  • made a tear in my eye

  • Nice photos. I have a question. I'm just about to buy this camera, and I just wanted to ask you, would you suggest this camera for a begginer or is it too much for someone who does not have much experience? :D

  • @bjuble its a great camera for every user that wants to be greater att photagrophy. but if you want you can still use it as any camera on full auto. i have a 450d (very similiar) my first dslr btw and i am very happy with it. even do i only own it for 4 months ive gone from just point and shoot to fully manual. i shuld mention that ive taken 12000 pics, its so darn fun :D

  • nice pictures!! how did you get the picture with the blurr background? :P..im a new user to xs so i dont know much about it yet..

  • Thank you,

To blur the background you'll need to be close up to an object for the autofocus to adjust, and the higher the focal length = more blur around the focused area.

For portraits a focal length of around 70mm to 200mm depending on conditions.

Hope you have a great day, and i'm glad to see someone who is keen to learn. You've made my day :D

  • @jordandyckes its not about how close you are to the object, you just have to swith to AV mode (aperture value) and use the dial to make the aperture value smaller, which means it will have a shallow depth of feild (more blured in the background).

  • @jordandyckes its not about how close you are to the object. if you have the canon eos 1000D just switch to AV mode (aperture value) and scroll the dial so that the aperture value becomes smaller, this gives it a shallow depth of field (a large amount of blurred area in the background).

  • @BboyTraphik You can also use the A-DEP mode

  • pls answer me..

    should i buy the 1000d or d3000

    need ur answer..!!

  • they are both identical, there are advantages and disadvantage on both of them.

I both 1000D i a matter of brand preference (canon)

    o d3000 you have a 3'' lcd and on 1000D a 2.5''.

on 1000D you have live view on d3000 you don't.

(since I started to use a dslr, I use most the view finder than the live view. but its always a good thing to have)

    (continue...)

  • one thing I didn't take in consideration before I got the camera was the buttons the camera had. (is this a big deal???) Asw: YES

fortunately on canon I have an ISO button for quick change the iso a White balance button, temporizer and shooting single or burst mode also have a button for that so is just click > change > shoot

    (Continue...)

  • I got hold of a nikon d5000 and I was stunned it didn't have any of those "shortcuts" you have to go in to the menu scroll to a bunch of options just to change ISO, WB, change timer, change metering... believe me it makes a difference to have those options right away.

I STRONGLY suggest for you to go to the store and Try all the thing from d3000 and 1000D and see what is best for you.

  • READ FROM BOTTOM TO UP this comment has 4 parts

I don't want to be responsible for leading you into buy 1000D and then you realize d3000 was best for you.

All I wrote is just my opinion

good luck on your acquisition ;)

  • /watch?v=h3AN2N6T2VA

  • who sings this song ?

  • @kmedia1983 the song is Hallelujah sung by Alexandra Burke.

  • Congratulation for this pictures.

With lens 18-55mm you have awesome pic!

The pic of flower is awesome.

And I like pic of cat.

I have Eos350, good, but old.

I was just thinking of buying an EOS 1000D and your photos have convinced me.

  • i must say mate i think that your flower pictures are amazing as in proffesional standard and would you recomend the canon 1000d as im thinking of taking photography and i personally think you should carry on doing photography coz your well good

  • Hai Benny, I recomend you to get Canon rebel series XS, XSI, if you have an extra cash, you can get the new canon t1i.

You can use all the canon EF or EFS lenses, better than Nikon D40 or D60.

  • Nice pics :D
