Honestly, I thought this brought Digimon BACK. Third came out and was like, "Cards give you power-ups, and all those Digimon you came to love in the first two series were A TELEVISION SHOW, AH HAHAHA." I was like, "What the fuck?" And then Season Four had THE HUMANS "digivolving". I didn't like that. ...so, I didn't watch it. Then Season Five came out and it was awesome.
At least, the Japanese version. I wasn't able to see the English. Lost that channel on cable. >:[

This season meant something special to me... The protagonist was a year younger than me, but we shared the same birthday and blood type! So i always said to myself "LET'S GO RONNY DAIMON!"
this season actually repaired the bad series before and bring up memories of agumon but with different style and even cooler, I watched the Xross War, it also good and much funny, very suitable for children..
Dude, Digimon Savers is fucking awesome! I love the new Agumon quite a bit more than the first one even--funnier, better Jap. and Eng. voice, more kickass evolutions (other than ShineGreymon...blegh) and Masaru is just too badass! It's not kiddy like Adventure and has mature themes like Tamers, my other favorite season. Why does everybody hate Savers? It's great!
Loved Digimon Adventure, didn't watched enough of Tamers, and didn't even care for frontier. But after watching just a few clips from this, I fell in love again. :D

Past Digimon shows were targeted for ages 12 and up, excluding Savers, which was targeted for ages 16 and up. The whole DigiXros evolution thing pisses me off, because it made Digimon into a Transformers rip off in my opinion. I mean couldn't a traditional evolution been put in the show more than that crap? The plot is also a downer compared to Frontier and Savers plots.

3. SPOILER ALERT: There is evolution. Hey, 02 had armor digivolution too, and yet the "fans" love that season. And then you say frontier was the best, but that had the Humans-Into-Digimon plot everyone raged about.

Humans-into-Digimon is what made Frontier awesome, because it made the series completely different and didn't constantly focus on Evolution. You know how annoying that is! Frontier also had a better story compare to the previous seasons.

I can agree that Tamers had an awesome plot and it is the most mature (too bad Saban raped it). But Frontier is better in my opinion, because it's plot was simple and brought back many classic Digimon. I didn't think Savers was that bad, but I guess if you didn't watch Digimon X Evolution you wouldn't understand most of the stuff and end up hating it.
@LXxtreme if you compare all jap show counterparts to the us then all of them suck shit. yugioh is badass in jap and is kidish in US, digimon also falls into that category, and bleach also is better in jap, the only show that you can argue is better in US is pokemon which sucks shit in general.
I dont see how real digimon fans can hate this season, It's right up there with Adventure 02 as my favorite in the series. I loved how this season had topics the others wouldnt dare touch, such as Thomas being forced to deal with the death of his mother, the digivices breaking, humans with Digimon powers (the biohybrids), and Kurata's invention that could permantly kill a digimon. It even had Yggdrasil, the tree from Final Fantasy, Breath of Fire, and Legend of Legaia

I Don't care about what everyone else says. For me, this is the best season of Digimon. It Bought back Agumon, had badass characters that weren't 10, Awesome Openings, Mature Themes, The Royal Knights, and a good plot. Plus, the digivolution's were awesome. The only reason people say that all these new series suck is cause they're not like the Original. Well, it's called change. get used to it. I Love Digimon Adventure, but i love this as well.

Although I feel that "the original (Digimon Adventure) is the best, I feel that what people fail to understand that the different seasons are trying to explore different concepts of Digimon, which is why there is spirit evolution, cross evolution etc... and that the message (Friendship and Teamwork) is still the same.

Another form of fighting spirit, which he GIVES to agumon to digivolve. this season was great the only thing that sucked was the english dub. If you really want to watch a bad season watch xeros wars, the newest one. It's like fucking digimon gundam.
Unfortunately, I think this song sucks. The second opening is way better, they should have used that one all the way instead of having this opening as well.

3. SPOILER ALERT: There is evolution. Hey, 02 had armor digivolution too, and yet the "fans" love that season. And then you say frontier was the best, but that had the Humans-Into-Digimon plot everyone raged about.

@HaloSpartanG13 And Armor Evolution was the reason why I hated Adventure 02. Humans-into-Digimon is what made Frontier awesome, because it made the series completely different and didn't constantly focus on Evolution. You know how annoying that is! Frontier also had a better story compare to the previous seasons.

@nagato455 Nah, out of all, Tamers has the best plot. It was written by the same dude who wrote Serial Expirements Lain, and Tamers has a few references to that and Eva.
Savers and XW are pretty awesome too, but the fans hate them because they changed 1 little thing and "RUINED IT FOREVER!"

I can agree that Tamers had an awesome plot and it is the most mature (too bad Saban raped it). But Frontier is better in my opinion, because it's plot was simple and brought back many classic Digimon. I didn't think Savers was that bad, but I guess if you didn't watch Digimon X Evolution you wouldn't understand most of the stuff and end up hating it.

well peoples, this is the rating for the digimon series, in JAPAN:
1. Adventure (both the 1st one and 02)
2. Xros Wars
3. Frontier
4. Tamers
5. Savers
i like frontier and adventure the most. savers and tamers...uuhh...soso,
but i hated xros wars. cuz its all the didgmon are like shoutmon, shoutmon X, shoutmon X2, and all this freakin' shoutmons!!!

@LXxtreme if you compare all jap show counterparts to the us then all of them suck shit. yugioh is badass in jap and is kidish in US, digimon also falls into that category, and bleach also is better in jap, the only show that you can argue is better in US is pokemon which sucks shit in general.

I dont see how real digimon fans can hate this season, It's right up there with Adventure 02 as my favorite in the series. I loved how this season had topics the others wouldnt dare touch, such as Thomas being forced to deal with the death of his mother, the digivices breaking, humans with Digimon powers (the biohybrids), and Kurata's invention that could permantly kill a digimon. It even had Yggdrasil, the tree from Final Fantasy, Breath of Fire, and Legend of Legaia

@hypnosisman121 Really? "smart off"? I was just stating the reasons why I enjoyed Savers so much. Oh, and I bought the Adventure 02 dvds off amazon, and just recently re-watched the entire season. And, guess what? It's still my favorite, and has been for like over a decade now. And yes, I've seen all the seasons and movies, including some of xros wars. I guess this is why everyone is entitled to their own opinion?

Tamers had digivices breaking, death (Jeri's mother and Leomon, although her mother's death wasn't elaborated on), Tamers and Frontier had humans with digimon powers, and the D reaper was much like the gizmons. You could argue that savers takes these to a higher level, and I wouldn't disagree

I Don't care about what everyone else says. For me, this is the best season of Digimon. It Bought back Agumon, had badass characters that weren't 10, Awesome Openings, Mature Themes, The Royal Knights, and a good plot. Plus, the digivolution's were awesome. The only reason people say that all these new series suck is cause they're not like the Original. Well, it's called change. get used to it. I Love Digimon Adventure, but i love this as well.

Although I feel that "the original (Digimon Adventure) is the best, I feel that what people fail to understand that the different seasons are trying to explore different concepts of Digimon, which is why there is spirit evolution, cross evolution etc... and that the message (Friendship and Teamwork) is still the same.

Another form of fighting spirit, which he GIVES to agumon to digivolve. this season was great the only thing that sucked was the english dub. If you really want to watch a bad season watch xeros wars, the newest one. It's like fucking digimon gundam.
