What a wonderful man Dom Deluise was. I love his upbeat, cheery voice. Some of my fondest childhood memories are watching 'The Secret of NIMH' and 'An American Tail'. Dom was superb in those movies and this one too. His voice really makes for some likeable characters. There are so many 'what ifs' in life and I just know that if Dom was still with us, he'd still be voice acting which is what he did best. RIP Dom.

Seriously, though. I had almost forgotten how much I loved this movie as a little kid. Yeah, it's probably the nadir of Bluth's career, but whatever. I watched this back before I was of a mind to analyze movies for their structure or content, and I just adored this syrupy-sweet flowery film. I will probably never watch the whole thing again, but this song is great by itself. Dom DeLouise, we love you. :)
