  • Scared me to death when two old men knocked on my door and shoved "THE WATCHTOWER" and another paper in my face, whilst also giving me a lecture on... stuff. Too much for me to handle. It's too personal! Don't come to my home! D':

  • I loveee this video! It's by far one of my all time favorites that you've made! xD

  • @Ciaela, I also forgot to mention that the "How much should I donate" question was in the "Our readers ask" section, and it is referring to those whom attend other churches that are pressured to donate more than they can afford. People may feel pressure to do so because "God loves a cheerful giver" is used by many pastors of different churches simply because it is in the bible. But that doesn't mean that one should give more than what's appropriate for their situation.

  • @Ciaela Besides, I dont think most of them can understand your English-written song anyways. ;)

  • They always come to my house too. Yeah, I really wish they'd stop DX

  • YEAH its annoying isnt it =[ I just tell them I'm something else and they go away.

  • Like Grandma always says. "Never open your door without a kitchen knife in your hand!"

  • they're not lookin for you, specifically. they harass everybody!!!

  • they travel all over the world...just tell them your already a witness it works all the time

  • @Kijion good one

  • 宗教で勧誘行為をする宗教はその時点で宗教では無くなっているとアメリカのカトリック信者は言ってます。自らの行ないを見てもらい誘わなくとも、その宗教に魅力を感じるのが本来の宗教のありかたですからね。

  • It is annoying they come to my house everyweek O_O. And like you I live in an unmarked apartment. I dont care what religion people are just dont try and shove it down my throat!

  • wow! you look great with blonde hair!

  • Religious people are nuts. Just ignore them and keep the little pamphlets they send you. If your power goes out in the winter you can burn them for warmth... I guess we non-theists are in their best interest after all. lol

  • I was asleep and Jehovas Witnesses woke me up at 6:00 in the fuckin morning i opened the door said NO go away and went back to bed. I dont have anything against any religion in the world but Jehovas Witnesses piss me off just a little bit

  • so ppl get angry if JW take a few min of ur precious time that was goig to be spend probably watching tv or facebook or something? Cheez, they go to your door out of love. But ppl wouldnt know what that is even if it kicked them on the ass. Chill ppl maybe u should try reading the literature and get some good in ur hearts.

  • @palomanegra27 How do you know we're gonna spend that time on FB or something? And even if we are, WHO CARES?! We should have the right to spend our time however we want, we shouldn't have to deal with stupid overly-religious JW stalking us and then coming to our doors sticking their precious literature in our face.

And you know what? When I went trick-or-treating for Halloween, there was a couple houses that gave out nothing but pamphlets. Wow.

  • @APuppyNamedSkip I am a religously tolerant person, I really am, but I have no patience at all for people rubbing their religion in my face. I know about your religion already, no amount of your precious literature is gonna convert me.

There is no way I'm gonna read that literature if people keep stuffing it in my fac e. And I sure as hell don't want to learn the "morals" of people like JW that have nothing better to do than harass non-believers.

  • @APuppyNamedSkip They do NOT "harass" anybody. Every single Jehovah's witness that I have ever met kindly walks away whenever you say you're not interested. I understand, it gets repetitive, but if you don't want to listen, just tell them up front before they speak. That simple. They are not teaching morals, they are teaching directly from the bible, unlike most other churches. The bible says to go forth and spread God's word to the people of the world. That's what Jesus and his disciples did.

  • @TerraUchiha1 "they are teaching directly from the bible" I think that is more or less the problem..the difference is that Catholics don't come to my door. I have some more practical advice for people, do what my mom did when they come to the door begging for followers and money and call over your 40kg malamute/wolf cross.

  • @lundymaphone ...I worded that so poorly, the second sentence should have been "another difference is that..."

  • @lundymaphone They don't BEG for anything, they don't beg for followers, and they definitely don't beg for money! They're trying to help YOU out. You'd know that if you'd take it upon yourself, and stop repeating the misconceptions you hear from mommy and daddy. It took me 5 minutes to find out what JW's were all about, simply by visiting their website last night. jw-media.org/aboutjw/authority.htm They don't even tide for money in their church buildings, which are small, unlike my huge church.

  • @TerraUchiha1 Actually I have had they (JW) HAVE been to my door begging (ie sob story included, although said in a monotone). I don't care what bullshit you have read from a website they created. On another note I don't really care what your church does either as this isn't a competition for which version of the same nonsense is more or less egalitarian. Also on the silly and demeaning mommy and daddy comment, take your head out of your ass, my views are my own.

  • @TerraUchiha1 I would also like to restate my main point so that maybe you understand. "The Bible" is the issue for many of us, not who is teaching it. Many view taking it with anything more then a passing historical interest as ridiculous. As such it does not matter which Christ (or other religious) following group comes to my door, all of it just reminds us that we have to live in the same world as people who follow bronze and iron age tribal myths.

  • @lundymaphone Then why, may I ask, did you even bother to click on this video, if you're so passionately athiest? I had athiest friends in highschool, and to be honest, they are the most 'religious-like' when it comes to them preaching their beliefs (or lack-there-of) to everyone willing or unwilling to hear. So many athiests feel like they get religion shoved down their throats (once again, most blaming mommy and daddy) that they feel obligated to shove their non-beliefs down other's.

  • @TerraUchiha1 Because you asked in a civil manner I will reward it with a response (it is that rare on the internet it deserves it). 1) I was cycling through the channels videos, this one just happened to be next, and had a funny song 2) I saw you arguing in circles and figured I would offer you advice as to why you weren't getting through (basically you weren't understanding why they were fundamentally mad) 3) continued..

  • @TerraUchiha1 3) It is hard to imagine but given that you are (probably) american, your country is highly religious (at least compared to the rest of the industrialized world). It is a constant battle, remember that pew research poll last year that had atheists (more then say, muslims) the least trusted group in america? Beyond that I cannot answer your anecdotal account of a high school social structure without more detailed information.

  • @lundymaphone Thanks. I am Japanese-American, living in Atlanta. I guess I assumed you were from the US also. So religion is not as widespread where you are?

  • @TerraUchiha1 I am Canadian actually, so I share more or less the same basic anglo-american culture as you (with what I would call regional differences). Basically religion is heavily downplayed, the community center (or cafe, etc) take the role of the communities intellectual/social heart. If you are religious you downplay it heavily, with that said I have never heard a religious person verbally attacked. About 10% of the population attend church/temple/mosque, etc weekly, mostly older persons

  • @TerraUchiha1 I guess I can hedge my bets with the high school kids and divide them into two likely categories. A) Kids that are preaching against say creationism or advocating science in some what, or the Richard Dawkins type that believes Religions causes many problems. B) The pseudo intellectual "rebels". Would this rather board category fit with the situation enough that we could move on?

  • @lundymaphone Yes, you got it right with the guys that believe that religion causes many problems, and society could advance at a much more rapid rate, if people were to let all religion go, and base everything on science.

  • @TerraUchiha1 Also I apologize for the odd spelling/grammatical error. I have been studying Mandarin and German, and I am a Math/Physics major so my non-edited english writing skills have deteriorated quite dramatically (math/physics profs seem to rarely check spelling/grammar, so long as it is intelligible).

  • @lundymaphone Haha, I know what you mean. Professors, got to love them right? But maybe that's why Canada has such a low violence/crime rate compared to the U.S., due to everyone not being so verbal about their differences.

  • @TerraUchiha1 Well a lot of...complicated social issues. Generally your religion (or lack their of) is not discussed. For instance, unless you really research you do not know politicians religion (or lack their of), it is not discussed AT ALL. It is considered a social misstep, would probably lose you an election. That and handguns are very difficult to acquire (although virtually anyone can acquire a rifle/shotgun). And since handguns (not rifles) are generally used in crime...

  • @TerraUchiha1 Anyway I think we have crowded this forum, chat...thing long enough. Nice talking to you, CAPTAIN CANADA AWAY!

  • @lundymaphone Haha. Goodbye. :)

  • @TerraUchiha1 Nice talking to you also. :)

  • @TerraUchiha1 I will leave with three points. 1st) The fact that you decided to attack me with an ad hominem without provocation is rather disappointing. 2) You have to be very skeptical about organizations that gather money in any form when they write about themselves, especially after "5 minutes of research". 3) These points have lead me to believe you are incapable of a rational conversation, and that you are out of your league in this instance. Flame away I will offer no further rebuttal.

  • @lundymaphone I thank you, for responding in the first place, and no, I'm not going to flame you, I don't hate athiests, I just wanted to know why you clicked the video, which doesn't matter, I can just go talk to an athiest. I don't hate Jehovah's Witnesses either, but I understand people's frustrations with them, I just want to know why they dont just say 'no'. Again, thank you, and dare I say, you are one of the most well versed people that I've had the pleaseure to converse with on Youtube.

  • @TerraUchiha1 I will answer anyway given that you seem genuinely curious (another trait to be rewarded). I would argue that people in A have a legitimate reason for "preaching" their information as it is largely provable. With that said the specific methods they use to preach can vary from effective and civil, to verbally abusive and rather ineffective, social timing also comes into play. Group B...well angry "rebels" (at any age)... I think we all know why they have a stick up their ***

  • @palomanegra27 Thank you :) My point exactly.

  • Speak about religion and the world goes mad.

  • Japanese are similar to エホバの証人 due to the fact that they are quite persistent when it comes to sucking the Engrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrish out of your blood. Gaijin beware. They have no other use for you.

  • by the way, 俺より日本語がうまい!lol

  • haha that is hysterical. i had the same issue where they would come to my house every saturday at 8 am, its my day off let me sleep!!

  • @ikedah001 everyday?i would go fukin mad xD dont they get no means no?

  • Messed up yo. Would have expected more from a well looked up to Vlogger. Opinions are opinions, but damn.

  • we knock on every door in the territory that we live in! so where ever u live u will most prob always get a knock from one of us :)!

  • You don't understand ? She doesn't care about jehova and they sent a book even she moved to japan

  • @parmatTV No, she means the Japan still has Jehovah's witnesses that fulfill their duties the same as those in the US.

  • Are you talking about Jesus he is coming so yea u stop saying that a recongize wat u saying

  • This is why you don't bring up Religion on YouTube. You get a whole bunch of grammar Nazi's who try to stand up for what you believe in and start a Religion/non-believing war. If you do or don't believe in a faith, keep it to your self. I'm pretty sure the title of this video isn't "COME HERE! Start a Religion war!"

  • Your a dick. You don't understand anything. Your a fucking cunt.

  • I just really sad to see previous comments based on misunderstanding toward religion. Do you guys embrace any religion? How do you feel when people disgrace or make fun of what ur truly believing?

Some of you might have gotten terrible experiences from those religious group. Totally understandable!!! However, they have just different belief from that you have.

Please reflect upon yourself, Where your criticism toward religion comes from? How lucky you are to have freedom of religion...

    Thanks

  • @natch4649

We are not lucky to live in a place where people can practice ignorance and primitive savage fairy tales.

  • @natch4649 I for one would only criticize harassment--for religion's purposes or any other purpose at all.

Because a person's right to freely express his or her self ends where his neighbor's right to be left in peace, or exercise his or her own freedoms--or do whatever s/he needs and wants to do--begins.

Just felt that needed a little clarification--and I do believe this sweet girl is only expressing *her* feelings, as well. She's not infringing upon a single soul.

    =),

    <#.

  • @LitLBirdLitLBird Every single Jehovah's witness that I have ever met kindly walks away whenever you say you're not interested. I understand, it gets repetitive, but if you don't want to listen, just tell them up front before they say anything. Thank you for your smart and thoughtful clarification. :)

  • "Stop coming here!"

    My favorite part!! ^.^d

  • in my country they knock at one's door and always come as a pair... I usually open, it is kind of fun to tell them that I am an atheist ;-) I wonder if they pray for me?

  • @Svea69 Same. It doesn't even matter if I tell them that I believe in God. They will keep talking and TALKING. One time they came during Thanksgiving and would NOT go away.

  • @MegumiGoose

    just tell them to...

  • your courageous, but be careful, religion fanatics are mostly freakin' dangerous....

  • Omg The Watch Tower, I used to get that in the mail box a few years ago.

  • 九州はね、、、カルトが多いんだ、本当に。。

    気をつけなされ

  • That article was taken completely out of context! They don't expect donations from anyone. They're one of the only religions who's members never have to pay a cent if they can't or don't want to:) Also they weren't stalking you, haha. They're just trying to make sure that every person, everywhere, no matter the language has access to information if they want it. That's a good thing! :) You didn't have to take them if you didn't to.

  • My cousin thought of the best way to sell drugs dress up as a jehovas witnesses so the cops would avoid him and he would be free to walk the streets XD

  • crazy ass cultist muthafuckas!

  • なぜか映像が左右反転してますね。

    最初ギターは左利きなのかと思ったけど、「ものみの塔」(Watchtower)のパンフレットも逆になってるのでわかりました。

  • haha when i was in korea the same people come too! it was a bit annoying..

  • Actually it's not called a church, it's called a kingdom hall. And when it said that "God loves a cheerful giver" it means that God appreciates a whole hearted gesture compared to a gesture that is given to make oneself look look better.

  • You ought to join the Jehova's Witness Protection Program.

  • I like your other videos, but I am not subscribing to your channel specifically because of this video. Jehovah's Witnesses do not make a habit of stalking people; they probably found an English-sounding name in the phone book and decided to leave some free literature at your door. Even if you're unlisted, they probably just saw you leave and stuck the magazine in your door. I would expect more tolerance from a Westerner living in such a different culture.

  • @Usulplokoon

"I would expect more tolerance from a Westerner living in such a different culture."

You don't have to be tolerant towards EVERYTHING to be a tolerant or a good person. You weren't tolerant to her joke, for instance.

I don't know her, but I don't think she would mistreat someone from that religion/cult/whatever. It was just a joke towards the fact that many of us get loads of this jehova's literature in our mail boxes throughout our lives.

    Chill out man.

  • @Vipsces I know three separate people who're harassed at their homes & jobs by Jehovah's Witnesses from their old churches. That's in addition to 'em always coming to anyone-at-all's door & not going when you say you're alright, gotta go, etc.

I'm very tolerant, all that jazz. It's just, it's pretty bad harassment. It can go on for YEARS after you decide to worship at home, find a new path or do anything like leave these churches.

    I'd guess that's what she's venting about,

    <3.

  • @LitLBirdLitLBird Really? Call. The. Police... immediately. I just find that a little hard to believe, given their reputation in my own and the surrounding communities. I also didn't know Jehovah Witnesses left their church to worship at home. But yes, if ANYONE in the world (including Jesus) comes to your door an refuses to leave, Call the authorities, you have that right to do so. We all do. :)

  • @Vipsces Or you could try to be less offensive with your wording. That too.

  • your stupid go do something better with your life lil girl

  • look at her face when she said fingers at the end

  • プロテストソングだ!!!!!!!!

    No More エホバ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • *knock knock* ... *door squeak*

    Me: "yeah?"

JW: "good afternoon, we;'re Jehov" *SLAM*

    gg.

  • You cant even escape those brainless cultist witnesses in Japan.

  • oh I have an idea. What if you say that you want to have sex with your boyfriend? :P

They couldn't have sex before getting married, if my memory is correct.

  • @Mieta79 Once you have sex in their religion you are married to that person at least around where I'm from.

  • They are everywhere in the world xD

They never found you, just knocked every door!! and They'll never give up...

  • 私はエホバの証人の信者で、なおかつ仕事で使うための英語を勉強中です。

  • Also. I would like to think that you would like having a safe group of people around you like the witnesses. Walking through a group of people at night can be sometimes scary. Knowing they are jw's takes away that fear. They are the most liked organized group on this planet. They would never hurt you they just want to save your life. Please respect they have your best interest in heart.

  • I see a lot of people arguing here and speaking there mind about this that and the other. Also evveryone thinking they know who's right and who's wrong with your short life time of knowledge. Talking in regards of the bible jesus said you will know my people by the love they have. Also in the book of james it says that your words must have actions. Sooo I hope that after all of this talking we all go away living up to what we claim to be. To know the bible you must learn hebrew and greek.

  • wow do you guys honestly think all JW people r adults and your tellin us to do this and stuff things down are throat really and adults say kids r immature

  • What? They got them in Japan as well?! Thought it was just a western thing...

  • @youknownoyuno

Dude every where in the world there are Jehovah's witnesses

  • yes, stop coming here too. it's too much. Im irritated.... hope they understand how others feel once they say no thanks. 結構です、と言ってるのに、何度も来る。。。 やめてくださいっ

  • I wonder why JW don't stop, its not Like JESUS ever went door to door or sent his diciples to do so, right? Its not like it is a requirment for ALL those who call themselves crhistians to do or is it? I mean its not like its in the bible like Mathew 24:14 or mathew 28:19,20.

I mean really people? Do you think JW have better things to do? Trust me if they had no respect for people they simply would not go to your house. NOW READ THAT MAGAZINE! please :)

  • @1Surge

Are you sure Jesus didnt went door to door? Because God had sent his own son in which because he loved the world do much he didnt serve here on earth he served to god Jehovah and went door to door and even told everyone about the truth but some accepted to do so and some rejected

  • @Goten4124 I was being sarcastic. Sorry It is kind of hard to tell in comments. I just like to point out how people who think they do Gods will, don't even know preaching is a requirment and a vivid proof of love.

  • You just say, "I'm not interested in JW. And never visit me."

    That's enough, I guess.

Because I myself used to preach house to house.

  • @ogatakazuhiko

me 2 im a Jehovah's witness and I preach door to door

  • 宗教勘弁してほしいですね。

  • When you said "Stop coming here" was bad, wasn’t it? So, I think you just betrayed me :c So, I won’t come with you c; I don’t know what else can I say ¬¬ But I hope you weren’t offending the religion, ’cause that’s bad, y’know? ;)

  • @Ciaela I'm a believer and I'm in agreement with evangelism. Though I'm a very open minded person and if someone gets offended because of this needs to grow up. How can you not be unwanted when your STALKING!

There's a way and there's a way. Sadly not everyone a 100% of the time give a good image of Christians. Imprudency exists everywhere.

Hope they give you space. Also hope you don't simplefy Christians as annoying since I know you're also open minded :)

  • おもしろい

  • @roponjiman It's spelled "proselytizing." And if you find the teaching of rational thinking on the same level as religious doctrine, well, then you're in obvious need of a better education.

  • there is freedom of religion here. If westerners don't like it they can leave japan.

  • Probably best for all JWs to leave Japan and stop pushing their bullshit down desperate and stupid people's throat. Just sayin'...

  • @LuckyDeviI yeah cause its not like the atheistic social darwinists don't pull the same prozletizing bs that xians and other religious people do right? Oh wait!

  • JW's are not a cult, you blathering morons. It is a sect of Christianity.

  • @gameofskate Definition of CULT

    1

: formal religious veneration : worship

    2

: a system of religious beliefs and ritual; also : its body of adherents

I will give you the benefit of the doubt though, he was probably saying it in a derogatory way.

"cult" just got a bad rap yo.

  • @thebeetalls

Thats not the definition of a cult though!

If you say that are the definitions then probably all religions are a cult.......

Once and for all: Jw aint a cult for sure.

  • エホバ is a cult 宗教。

  • しかし、このビデオのねーちゃんかわいいな。

  • Sure, they are good people. A lot of Christian people are, but I still can't stand the religion because of the blind-belief principle it implies.

  • @tdakiller Quran and the Bible are the same shit

  • If only a few people believe something ODD with no proof it is a "CULT"...However, if a lot of people believe something ODD with no proof is called a RELIGION...Or a certain sect of a Religion. Folks who take part are not bad people they just choose to believe stuff with no proof...Which "could" lead them vulnerable to be taken advantage of or worse! It has happened many times in history & will surely happen again.

  • @Viracocha711 Well first of all, you are talking semantics, and that doesn't really hold intrinsic value. Second, if I am not mistaken, a cult is simply something wherein a belief is held amongst a large group of people which is not provable (or something like that). When Christianity sprung up in Rome, it was eclipsed by the Cult of Isis, which wasn't odd at the time. And Christianity was seen as a 'lesser' cult at the time. I think that the term 'religion' sprang up later. Just saying...

  • @adognamedsally Not semantics! How so? You said yourself, "a cult is simply something wherein a belief is held amongst a large group of people which is not provable." That describes every religion/cult to have ever existed! What I said is very true as far as how society looks at cults vs religions...If only a 100 believed a man died & came back to life to erase the sins of humans & followers simulate eating the flesh & drinking the blood they would be looked at like NUTS! Or a CULT!

  • @Viracocha711 Semantics because religion is a cult. It is the same thing. People have a bad opinion of a cult, because cults are seen as groups of people wearing dark robes and doing freaking shit in dark basements. But the word actually extends further than most people would like to believe. To be honest though, I don't think that we are in total disagreement here.

  • @adognamedsally OK, I see where you are coming from...YES we are in 100% agreement! I was simply saying like you that our Christian based society looks at other small religions or spin offs as cults when they are no differnt than they are just larger numbers. Yes, I agree with what you are saying & I apologize for the misunderstanding. Take Care!

  • Some Witness came to my door once. The woman was very attractive so I had a conversation with them. My girlfiend told me to be firm and tell them I wasn't interested or they'd keep coming back. Dilemma...

  • you are an asshole to be making fun of the jehovas witness and the message they bring to you. when you die you are going to hell.

  • @alvicious No she wont, Canadian don't go to hell :P We all go to Hockey Hall of Fame, no matter whose feeling we hurt :P

  • @tdakiller yeah the bible is full of bull.I read the whole thing. If the people who call themselves christians would read their bible for once they would to 85% turn atheist or say they can't see this as a 'moral compass'.the bible: Dragons, Sea monster, Zombies: The Bible says in Matthew 27:52-53 “The tombs broke open and the bodies of many holy people who had died were raised to life. They came out of the tombs, and after resurrection they went into the holy city and appeared to many people.”

  • @tdakiller Some reasons in the bible why I became atheist: Kill People Who Don't Listen to Priests Anyone arrogant enough to reject the verdict of the judge or of the priest who represents the LORD your God must be put to death. Such evil must be purged from Israel. (Deuteronomy 17:12 NLT) Deuteronomy 22:28-29 NLT, (Deuteronomy 20:10-14, Judges 21:10-24 NLT, Leviticus 25:44-46 NLT, Exodus 21:2-6 NLT... most people don't even know that the bible sometimes has more brutal verses in it than quran

  • @tdakiller You my friend have come further than most Adults I work with, Religon has some positive sides but also many negatives ( people killing each other saying my magical belief is the only true one ) My study into Reilgion started at about 14... When I looked just into the Monotheistic religion I was astound of how they ALL have the same story up untill 1 person and then they devide...and through that division they started thousands of wars over a thousand years claiming theirs is the'one'

  • why I hate Christian Americans: Look at this video and how she says the earthquake and thousands of deaths was god doing because there are so many atheist and buddhist japanese and they don't accept jesus as the lord. watch?v=zDl0X_awwjU

She is mentally retarded or she really has that fucked up mind set that some magic sky daddy kills people because they don't believe in him. Religion is for the people who are just afraid to comprehend the size of our unniverse and how small we are

  • All you people bashing on JW are just plain unbelievable. I think you overacted with the whole video. If you learn to just simply say "No thank you, I am not interested" THEN SAY SO. STOP ACTING LIKE THEY ARE FORCING YOU. THEY ARENT JUST KINDLY DECLINE. Such immaturity.

  • @dorki3 You know its a cult and there are abuse all over it right ?

Anyway if they really believe in their junk, they wouldn't need to try and spread it around... they would have faith in it:P

  • @EckoStream

LOL its not a cult. Its a christian-protestant religion.

You should research before you start going on.

    And they preach to share.

Yo should learn to think for yourself then to feed off what other tell you.

    And no, Wikipedia won't help.

  • @dorki3 it's not like they're really clear. mormons walk up and go "would u like to learn about jesus christ?" or something else. these guys are like "HERES A CRAZY PAMPHLET WITH SOME MOTHERFUCKIN PANDA BEARS AND OTHER ANIMALS PLAYING WITH PEOPLE N STUFF" and then they give you the crazy eye.

  • Your so hott

  • this made me laugh because i thought it would be a video of just you saying the same line over and over again
