  • okay...the last part is incorrect. Diabetes comes in different forms. Type 2 diabetes comes from insulin resistance, but there's another type of diabetes that is actually an autoimmune disease. Type 1 diabetes comes from the body's immune system attacking its own insulin making cells. Saying diabetes is prevented by lifting weights is damaging to people who did nothing to get what they have. Type 1 and Type 2 are different diseases, and it stinks that there is such misinformation.

  • @sonofpissjuice im 159-163 lbs and ive been overwieght since i was 8 and i eat 1500 calories a day and i do track but its over now and im 14 and it took me 2 year years to lose 30 pounds(b4 then i was unedicated and i didnt care cause i was too young and i had hypothriodism that i now take meds for)  so proof its not easy to lose wieght so stop judging me

  • Okay im OVERWIEGHT and im teh one who encorages my parents to eat heathyer lol. Besides just because I;m overwieght does not mean im sitting a the tv eating doreatos. basically i sit on my ass all day with teh occasional school walking and eat about 1500 calories(how much you should eat with a seditary lifestyle) and ive been losing wieght at a slow pase for 2 years

  • don't call them overweight and don't suggest they lose weight? if they ARE overweight and they DO need to lose weight you have every right to tell them. what's more important, their health or their feelings? maybe a little harshness is the push they need to achieve success and future happiness. i mean honestly, 'overweight' isn't even an offensive word... it's a term my doctor would use if I was overweight and there's no need to sugarcoat it - they've obviously had enough of that already...

  • I like the emphasis on health as opposed to weight loss. Being slim doesn't always mean being healthy. But the illustrations(overweight person looking like a Hefty bag full of meat as opposed to the other person looking like a twig) seem to go against this advice, and instead might feed on the insecurities that are already too common in society.

    But it's actually really hard to get teens to stop being overweight, mostly because it is an outlet for depression and anxiety.

  • @strawberrifox727 its actauly very hard to lose wieght. Like once you start exercising and eating right at 195lbs you lose 10 pounds but once you reach 159-163lbs you lose about 1 pound every 2 months which is not alot and thies no way to speed that up w/o harming yourself and teh more wieght u lose teh slower it gets

  • I started training powerlifting, and now I have to eat about 3500-4000 calories a day -.-', but what might help is, use smaller plates, meaning eating smaller ammounts, keep the meal based on 3 items, such as, meat, potatoes, vegetables, Rather than eating 3 smaller meals a day, eat 6 smaller meals a day, this increases metabolism, and it's easier for the body to process the food.

    2. Not eat cause the human body to go into a mode call Survival mode Forcing the body to acquire less food but once that person eat more then there average all that fat in there body will automatically store.
