I love the music of Harry Nilsson...only discovered him a few years ago...and any time I feel uptight, play his songs...they just dissolve ...his music is a joy.

Harry's voice was so mellow with perfect pitch. He wrote so MANY songs, and made many others jump to promenance because of those songs. A true musical genius. I was a huge fan of his starting in the early 70's (high school) and now well past his way-too-soon death. RIP Harry, you live on in music as do all the greats.

I completely agree. This man was a genius... I was thinking Mozart, but yea, like Van Gogh, a genius taken before his time. Actually, philosophically, I know that we all vacate the body when it is our time, but I would have loved to have A LOT MORE Nilsson.
This beautiful soul was tragically underappreciated in his time, like Van Gogh. Listen to Don McLean's Vincent - Harry deserves someone writing the same kind of haunting, melancholy tribute to him...
