I love this song. It's from her heart, her personal experience. It's so true that music sees no color. I love it. Thanks Tasha for sharing your heart felt story. I hope people who are still stuck on color will listen and be changed by your message. Much love.
"My skin is brown but music see no color." I can't help but tear up whenever I see her perform this song. Her deep, inner emotions....her rappings...that soulful voice... The story behind it all...THE MESSAGE. Mi Rae unnie, can't wait to see you perform LIVE in LA. 2 DEC.... :'D
When I listen to this song, I'm always amazed at her strength. THIS is what an idol should be. Someone who is inspiring, and a role model. Her talent is second only to the emotion she puts into her music.
@TheFinalAlice agreed. though i listen to some mainstream k-pop, the only lyrics i REALLY like are ones with deep lyrics, and the artists i feel for most are all the rappers of the movement, tasha, tiger jk, epik high, etc. it's THOSE i really admire as my idols, and its strange and great at the same time cuz theyre the first role-models i've ever had but theyre a big part of the kind of music i love
this song is so sad! it can really feel her feelings when she was young. the ppl who had inflicted her emotional hurt and pain must had made her cry loads... this song really depicts how ppl who are discriminated against really feel
I LOVE IT!!!! she has nice songs..i wanna be like her damm she is super cool!! gonna try to rap this song but i doubt i will sound like her. tasha cant wait for more music you are one BADD ASS FEMALE! ^-^
omg this is amazing i feel like crying but i also feel so impowered she is so strong my respect to her this song spoke to me i feel i can do anything no matter what now im sorry i love CL but Tasha is like the best rapper XD
man i feel her on this im half black and korean but raised in the states my daddy was a soldier and i to got judged by both cultures and for this young woman to come out with this song you have no idea how many of us have and still going thorugh this type of crap. Na sadang ayo Tasha and keep up the awesome inspiration
i dont understand why some people think that white skin is superior and if you have brown skin your nothing but dirt.i dont understand why skin color even matter to some people.we are all humans and we all share this earth together.we are all imperfect.i mean we could be working together and we could be making this earth a much more sage beautiful place but instead we are just tearing each other apart and destroying one another and judging one another. i cry everytime i hear this. life isnt fair

This was the first Tasha song I heard 2-3 years ago and I've loved her since.
I'm Black/Asian too so I feel really connected to her. I haven't had to deal with racism but I had to deal with the issue of accepting both sides of me instead of just one. I still struggle with it now because many people tell me to just claim one race. There were so many times where I wanted to do things I didn't like just to fit in. Those people suck but we have be strong like Tasha says.
If she had been born 10 years earlier like I was, times were worse. I recall living in korea having been scrubbed to the point of bleeding because they thought I was the color I am because I was dirty...
she is sooo beautiful... mixed children are soo beautiful... but some people just think that they dont belong to this world... pathetic and very sad.. that people choose to harm people...
I don't think she is dark at all.. The perfect colour.. I mean, its just colour right but music doesn't know colour and and the word "stereotype" right~ Glad that she is gaining popularity. :D
gosh one of the good things i like about her is that she's always so humble and grateful for all the things that has happened to her. When the fans started chanting her name when her dad was making his speech, towards the end around 2:36 you can even hear her say 'thank you so much' to them. LOVE her. :]
@HelloImPsycho There's a page/mini-bio about her at Wikipedia. I just learned about her a few months ago myself. Hope to see her in concert some day. Also want to see the band her husband is in, too.
This made me think of how i was when i was a kid .
I'm black but i felt like an outsider because kids would mock me just because
i didnt act like the "black" stereotype . But this song fits everyone and it really opens people's eyes and it made me wonder why people hate others because of their skin.
I admire her so much. After going through all of that look at where she is. She inspires me so much because I use to go home crying because I was different and even now its so hard not to break down. People are so prejudice against race and sexual orientation and appearance...it's completely ridiculous. She inspires me so much. And now I'm tearing up...
really good song. love how she had her dad's words in there. poor baby having to go through all that hatred at such a young age! :( MIXED CHICK PRIDE :)
today, we can't change people's views on race. we just can't because the older generations have lived with that fact for so long, it's stuck in them. the only thing is for all of US to change that in the newer generations. that way no one will have that way of thinking anymore. hopefully, the children of today will open their minds more.
i never understood why dark skinned people are always looked down upon when there are more dark skinned people in this world then light skinned...plus people love tanning whats up with tht yeah...I'm mixed blac and white so it might be tht but racism doesn't make sense to me I could see people hating a race more than judging people based on skin color not tht i think people should hate anyone
@penguin3241 If a few billion more people in the world had your view about race and people in general, we would have a much better world for all people. Peace and much happiness to you, penquin324.
The first time I heard this song, I got shivers down my spine and I teared up. It's so full of power and emotion. Not soft, delicated emotions, but strong, charismatic emotion. She's so beautiful when she raps.
with this song(my first time hearing it and second time hearing tasha), i learned to love Tasha and the song tells about her life. its amazing, i'm amazed. :)
with this song(my first time hearing it and second time hearing tasha), i learned to love Tasha and the song tells about her life. its amazing, i'm amazed. :)
Sigh. I can't express how much I get disgusted by all the racism and discrimination in this world. It's beyond superficial to make a judgement based on skin color and such.
Outstanding and talented! People may talk but look at the wonderful specimen your Korean mom and African-American dad created! Keep being beautiful and remember what's inside is much, much more important. Keep loving yourself!
man i didnt know people were so racist in korea.. black and korean is a beautiful mix, black is pretty.. she is probably the most beautiful korean i have ever seen... so wtf, she is pretty and talented... big up from the us...
ouch i can totally feel this song people always discriminate me cause i'm dark... my parents don't even know this either... were totally the same my dad's skin color is dark too.... i totally love this song everytime i'm feeling down this song pulls me up... love her for singing this^^
