  • A beast of a hat to go with a beast of a song. Nice playin

  • Well i sure enjoyed listening to that. tx for posting

  • you are a skilled technician with precision, but delta blues come from the soul. your playing is too indulgent. less showing off and more feeling brother

  • Dear sir,

Your coolness is epic. The DosEquis guy probably jams to this before having his morning threesome.

  • what kind of guitar is this?

  • Sweet dude!!!! I like your switching of tempo, it's a fun jam to listen on!

  • That was some fine playing.

  • Nice man!

  • This was so cool.. thank you for your videos! I'm a huge blues / slide fan who's learning to express myself using this style of play.. thanks for the inspiration!

  • nice pickin

  • This sounds so good. The resonator was born for slide. You play with so much grace and feel, you make the guitar talk. Great job. I enjoyed this immensely.

  • Could listen to you all day!!

  • So, so great!

  • dude...I'm metal all the way...and you broke through and impressed the living shit outta me...you been doin that for long time....you can die happy...you mastered something. I'm trying.

  • I am Like 57 !!

  • your playing takes me to another place. a balmy evening out on the bayou or some shit. with my beer, woman, and dog. keep it up man, your playing exemplifies everything I love about delta blues.

  • Cool Guitar. Is That a Resorocket.

  • @Chookiman

No, it's a Delta Reso (Louisiana model)

  • great man! wonderful

  • A wonderful performance. Ya, the on going debate about which is the best finger for the slide to go on! Regardless, as long as you can fret notes with your left hand by using the pinky or ring finger, it doesn't really matter. Might be a little limiting if you wear it on your index or middle, but if it works for you. Thanks for all the great playin' Enjoy.

  • @KeniLeeBurgess

    thanks Keni

  • So sam good man!!!!

  • Is there any advantage in using the slide in that finger over the pinky finger?

  • @caralhosvosfodam

this is a personal choice - do whatever is comfortable for you - try out both ways (pinky or ringfinger) and see what works for you

Great sliders, but different fingers : Bob Brozman/pinky, Mike Dowling/ringfinger etc etc

I use the ringfinger because I feel that has the best balanced feeling...on the other hand, in my video "Frogtime Stagger" I use the pinky because the song needs fingerings I can't manage with the slide on the 3rd finger...

  • Awesome

  • Wow... one of the best acoustic sliding blues piecies i've ever seen!

  • Exquisite! Lots of interesting use of rhythm and tempo. You have a lovely unique way of sliding into and out of some notes. I could definitely pick you out in the blindfold test hehe. Really very good.

I've got a Moonshine ceramic slide but can't get on with it. I still prefer the feel and weight of glass. Interestingly, I did find the ceramic works really well on electric guitars.

  • It is truly a pleasure to hear this mighty, original blues song so competently played on your beautiful resonator. I loved it. All the Best, Greg.

  • So cool !! just love slide and you are one of the best ;-)

  • Ever try a ceramic, like a Moonshine Slide?

  • @NearlyNormalSteve

no, but the Paloma is a ceramic too.

  • Yep, much Robert J influence in there.

    Rock dem strings!

  • my favorite of all your videos. really great playing. great feel and wonderful tempo changes ala robt. johnson. who wrote this song?

  • @hchoron

I wrote it with, the playing of many players in mind
