  • omfg, I miss this game, running around in yellow undies smashing dudes.

  • OMG one of the first few games that i played back when i was a kid, gotta admit i still love the music till now , games used to be brilliant regardless the gfx

  • my favorite game on old pc

  • never saw this before. I only know the NES game. Looks better to me

  • LMFAO! @ 0:21. LMFAO, Poor old lady!

  • This kinda makes the NES version look only a little bit better.

  • Fuck. Wailing on old people, fornicating with dogs, and killing an ape.

    Goddamn Hulk Hogan

  • my favorite part is when he swings the lady around by the hair. this guy is a real menace.

  • Wow, Hulk Hogan is an asshole.

  • Absolutely, just going around and punching blind people and the likes... it's just unacceptable.

  • atleast duke nukem had the the manners to get rid of all of those cave men and gorillas remember that from the 80s those raging gorillas?

  • Lmaoo!! XD

  • Wow this looks exactly like the c-64 but with worse colour and crappy sound...

  • Lol, the graphics from the Walker virus ARE from this game! :D

  • It looks he's trying to squeeze the dog's balls.

  • Fuck yes!

  • OMG, I actually paid money for this game...

  • HAHAHA love this game ... played this as a kid. Never did finish the damn thing. Some awesome villains later on ... the tall guy throwing basketballs (?)... the fat man u can't pick up and the guy on the motorbike! Love the music too. Always did wonder what those little dudes with the hats that dropped bombs were though??

  • @Zoikers333

Some kind of goblins? :D I remember the fat guy and the basketball guy, but my skills weren't good enough to meet a motorbike guy.

  • @Zoikers333 wow as if i typed this

  • mmmm one of the best music in games !!

If you don't hurt the old lady, she won't touch you. But once you touch her, she turns against you for the entire game. Or something like that.

  • I didn't know that. :D

  • Sorry,Street Hassle wasn't Polish apparently.

Mirage or World Software( makers of Franko) seems to have just pinched the earlier original game.(Which copied/stole ideas from this version of bad street brawler)

    Polish remake of Spectrum? game

  • It's indeed a complete clone.

  • There's a Polish Amiga game called Street Hassle that is virtually a hack/modified version of this game. Fighting old people and opponents who say 'brute' also appear in the Polish game.

  • How do you know it was Polish?

  • Did the other versions have more than 6 stages? the c64 one had either 6 or 9 stages.

  • the attack at 1:26 is the best and most intense attack in gaming history

    neck noogie?

ahhh, this game was so much...fun?

  • :-)

  • That attack is the Ear Twist.

  • Where can I download badstreet?! :)

  • @Dorinciobanu

Google the words "xtc abandonware" and click on the first hit. You also might need a copy of DOS-Box to let the game work.

  • @Dorinciobanu

By the way. With DOS-box you can record video's of game. :) PS: Ireland is cool!

  • LMAO this is even more hilarious than the NES game!

  • Finally a game where you can beat up blind old men and bag ladyies, molest dogs and slam dance.

  • This character looks a lot like WWF Wrestler Hulk Hogan.

  • like i said for DTysonator's comment, this version is better than the nes version.

  • Duke looks a lot more like a punk rocker in this version, but the yellow tights don't work. Hulk Hogan is probably the only person that has been able to pull off that look.

I wouldn't mind seeing a complete play through of this game, do you have it in you, EendjeKwak? If not, this is still an awesome video and I would have never even have known of this game if not for you, so thanks!

  • You're welcome. And no, I suck at this game. :) You are free to download DOSbox and a copy of this game (@ xtcabandonware com) and put a video online.

  • Well, I don't think that you suck at this game, EendjeKwak. You we're doing really well.

Maybe I will download and play the game one day.

  • in my opinion he looks like a professional wrestler.

  • lol some of those moves are hilarious. It's too bad that Nintendo got rid of some of the chest splash, that seem more like a humping move.

The NES version is also missing that grumpy old lady who shouts "Brute!". Now I see where Who Framed Roger Rabbit, for the NES, most likely got its inspiration from.

  • she was replaced with acrobat midgets with ball and chains and the blind were replaced with punks with bats and mohawks. this dos original is better than the nes version.

  • Yeah, the DOS version definitely seems better overall, matttheman597. I don't know why the NES version had to be so dramatically altered.

  • There were also versions for the amiga and c64 that i recall. The game also went by the names street hassle and bop n rumble.

  • ajuaj grande fede y sus juegos pro :D

  • I agree. ;) But, the answer is easy. The release of the game was in 1987, and they already made the game for several platforms like the Amiga, Commodore 64, DOS and the ZX Spectrum. According to the Wikipedia, it's "one of the earliest Beat 'em up or scrolling fighting games".
