i worked with this camera and all the footage we shot that looked good on the camera lcd was nice ,but when i review it on my moniter everything went to trash.

If you buy a Canon, you will eventually have to face the factory service center and they will NOT honor their warranty. My HD so-called Professional Camera has been in the shop THREE times in its short 6 month life. They tried to charge me $1,000 because of a defective firewire port. Complete idiots. Defective equipment and a 4 year warranty. I will NEVER buy any Canon product again. Period. Considering it, are you? Save your money ... don't do it. Canon sucks.

@jackie20ization the 5D Mark II is meant for photographers but video from it is INCREDIBLE but if you need the professional features then go for the XH A1s because you don't find the same things of the XH A1s on the 5D Mark II

@jackie20ization Well If you don't want to spend $20,000 on Red's weird looking super professional full frame camcorders, then go for the 5D Mark II, if you want all the features Pros use then get the XH A1s because that camcorder has features you can't find for the 5D Mark II, the XH G1s is pretty much the same as the XH A1s but has more features which are useful for the more professional videographers.

I am very confused as to which camera to get, this looks promising but the mini DV only and the older age of this model of camera is turning me to the 7d. Which one should I get?

@kkgproductions : I think the xh a1is still better than a 7d. Mini dv still is really usefull! Tapes are cheap and you can easily archive your Footage!
